So thank you for saving me the time of having to figure out if this great real estate deal was a hoax or not!
(P.S. I'm reaching out from Grand Rapids, MI - seems to be something going on everywhere).

I saw the scam today on a house for rent in Marion, AR. The number they are using is 646-481-8661 and the name they're using is Jaine Timberlake.

Same story as all those above.

The house is STILL AVAILABLE but presently I'm not around with my family, we are away to Portmouth Ohio and I am renting this house to a responsible and honest person or family who has the fear of God that can treat my house as his or her own.... This scammer goes by the name of Ben Johnson now. Detectives are investigating.

HIS SCAM IS OBVIOUS ...  SOME RED FLAGS ...
"MONEY GRAM ONLY", "OUT OF TOWN" "NON-MATCHING NAMES", "SENDS TEXT BUT WILL NOT ANSWER YOUR CALLS"  "GOOGLE RE-DIRECT PHONE NUMBER WITH NEW YORK AREA CODE, COMPLETE WITH  MUMBLED NAME"  "GENERAL VAGUENESS"  "UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCORRECT USE OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

NOW THE SCAMMER IS STILL TEXTING ME AFTER THREE DAYS!
I THINK I WILL SEND HIM A LINK TO THIS WEBSITE AND THEN CALL THE POLICE.

The email I got was from fallen763@yahoo.com saying their name was Alex.

The same thing happened to me. They only text and email me, and the email is that same one: alexwills78@yahoo.com. Scam for sure.

Same with me! Scam also used the email Alex Wills <alexwills78@yahoo.com>

My husband and I were searching for homes and I found an ad on Craigslist that seemed like a good deal
So I emailed it, and ever since they been persistent with asking if we want the place, but they make an excuse to say they are in a different state and that they will send keys after we pay.
Fortunately my husband and I have caught some Nigerians doing that just to get our money.
DON'T BELIEVE THEM, it's a scam.
