I have had this number attempt to purchase items from me on Craigslist, thanks to your site, I know whomever is sending me these text's is scamming. I sent him (or her) a return text stating:
"B**w me you scamming slimeball" I would like to see there face when they get my response.
I wished the internet police would follow up on the number and bust the culprits.

I got a text from a craigslist for rims and he texted me wanting to buy the wheels and wanted to pay through paypal and claims to be up in Portsmouth NH. I sounded weird so I did some research and found this. I am not sure how the scam you. He asked for my paypal account to send money through paypal and then was going to arrange for pickup of the wheels. Can someone bring some light as to how the end up ahead in the end unless they cancel the payment once the item is picked up?

Number has been traced. Even though owner dosnt think it can be there being investigated. There drawning way to much attention to them selfs and that wasn't smart on there part they will be in jail for fraud shortly

Wants your paypal info and says he cannot take a call to talk. Will only deal with paypal with your info, also wants to pay $100.00 over asking price which made me suspicious so I looked up the phone number and here I am. you got be very careful on CL.

Scammer....I just check the phone number on the internet for area code and notes such as these to determine if it is a viable buyer or scammer. Lots of scammers but also lots of viable buyers on CL ....you just have to determine who is who and info sites like this help a lot.....
