They call 2 times a day every other day I can't get them to STOP! They are driving me crazy!!!

A guy named Chris Turchi (or, at least the number he called from) has been calling me several times a day over many weeks wanting to make a business loan. He claims he represents SynergyCapital1 and told me I had to send him all of my financial information so he can decide if he will lend me money!

Of course anyone who falls for such a scam by sending such sensitive information to him or anyone else like him is putting themselves at high risk of having their accounts wiped clean, identity theft, etc.

When asked for his name and direct telephone number, Chris Turchi, as he identified himself, gave me 718-337-8719 as his "direct" number. That telephone number does not correlate to the 646-499-4472 that his call registered on my caller I.D. screen - which is associated with lots of scams as indicated in this site's postings.

One cannot assume that any company that uses such cold-call, big-data harvesting tactics, even with a "legitimate" website and a listing on LinkedIn, is really legit.

Call and hang up

Receive calls from the number frequently.  They don't usually say anything.  I called the number back so I could request that they remove me from their list but I received a message stating they are unable to take the call and that the mail box is full.  Imagine that!!

THIS NUMBER CALLS NUMEROUS TIMES A DAY.  WE ANSWER, THEY HANG UP.  SOMETIMES WE CAN HEAR PEOPLE TALKING TO EACH OTHER

Heard message: "The magic jack customer you've called is unavailable.....leave a message....the mailbox is full"

This is the 57th. call from this scammer.

I'm surprised that GE security does not go after this can artist.

And Magic Jack is a scam too!

GE Small Business Capital.  At least that's what the caller said. I don't hink GE would associate with such a con artist. He refused to tell me why he was calling. DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER!

RUDE.... He calls asking for company owner by the first name

The caller did not even say anything.  I disconnected the call.

caller id said wireless number - Man asked for me by first name and hung up when I verified that it was me speaking. line went dead - i tried to call back and the call return doesn't work, and I'm not spending money to dial it and pay for a call on my home phone as I have stopped paying for long distance. won't call from cell because then they would have that number. Reading what's here - i've  been getting calls from generational equity for a long time - just that name sounds like reverse mortgages or something.similar

Called twice - said he was with "generational Equity" (GE Capital??)  original call came in on 612-568-1899. idiot

They called asking for my boss by his first name as if they are BFF's.  When I said he's not available and offered to help he said he would call back . . . GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!

These idiots people call the restuarant where i work 4-5 times a day when i said hold on then they hang up!!  How can we stop this ! They are so anoyying!!

We keep getting calls from these obnoxious jerks, even though we have told them we do not accept phone solicitations. I have put them on the Do not call registry, we still get the calls, I got one today and I explained we are on the do not call list, the dumb a** said, well then how am I calling you, I just hung up...Idiots!!!!

These people keep calling my business number and asking for the owner by name... this would be my father, who doesn't work the store.  When I let them know I am in charge and can help them, they hang up, or refuse to leave a message with any of my managers who answer as well.  Reported them to the FCC

They will call 2/3 times a day and I have asked them to stop calling multiple times and they say it is not them - started calling them back and harassing them and they say they will report me to the fcc so that my number will be blocked from calling them - i am going to try this??

Rude, repetitive and unwanted solicitation.  Reporting their number every where I can!

I get a call from this number about twice a day now for the past 2 weeks.  He asks for an old manager and I say he doesn't work here anymore.  The caller asked me my name I didn't answer but rather I asked who he was with, but he kept butting in and just asking what my name was.  Then he said he was going to report me!!?? I said I am very successful when I report things to the FCC. He hung up.  Now he calls and there is silence for a bit and he will ask for the old manager again - I start singing badly into the phone... He keeps calling though..

It's a magic jack number, which I have at home and the number I was given was for a city 2 hrs away - which is fine because it is only to keep in touch with my children. This is in response to the person who posted he knew the number was NY, NY - not sure if this helps.

We, in the US, pay a lot of taxes for ineffective FTC to put up a DO NOT CALL list that doesn't work.  The loser "companies" that spoof their numbers are as bad as the Chinese spammers who offer Viagra misspelled from 100 different names you don't know.

Funny how they can find you if you don't pay your taxes or they want to find you within 3 meters of your cell phone signal but can't push an unsympathetic company like ATT to create a block list or a spam button to press so that these idiots can't use the major carriers.
O'bama is turning over the oversight of the Internet to 3rd world nations. That'll be a good thing for VOIP spoofing. :)

They call all the time. Nobody there. Our number being on the DO NOT CALL list doesn't mean jack s***.

I just tell them to hold please when they ask for the owner, and just leave them on hold.
If they are going to waste my time, I'm going to waste theirs.
And when they ask for the owner's name, I have a ficticious owner's name---so when "they" call back---I just put them on hold for eternity.   I do this probably 4/5 times a day with different nuisances... they will eventually take you off their call list themselves.

If you are having a slow day and want to have some fun, respond with a "jibberish" language---that really ticks them off.

I understand, restaraunt service is a tough business. They can't hide behind a telephone halfway across the country, it's face to face with every person every day. If every person I talk to despises telemarketers then why is telemarketing considered such a lucrative business?? It doesn't add up!!

Hasn't left a message that I can remember,  just keeps calling and calling and calling daily for the last year or more. My customers are local so I don't answer the numerous out of state calls I don't recognize. It is a complete waste of time. If it is an honest business it will be a real person that is polite and wants to work with you. If this "business" is offering money to help you grow don't take it. If your business is in good shape and you want to expand your local bank will work with you. Don't go out of state with people you don't know and risking everything you've worked for, you'll loose. This nonsense has got to stop! I've turned off my answering machine so these "offers" can't even leave a message. Call all you want!, you're wasting your time AND mine! The Do Not Call List doesn't seem to be very effective. My customers that count know how to get ahold of me. It's sad that a business has to pay for a decoy phone line to divert bulls**t like this and it becomes a necessary part of what it takes on top of everything else to make ends meet. Time is precious, and these people are wasting mine.......

Man asked for the "business owner" by first name only. I advised that they were in a meeting and offered to transfer to voice mail.  He gave a loud sigh and disconnected.
