this same email wanted to buy my snowmobile said he was from cali. got same thing about the pics for wife. looser

Hi I got same text message for same email and I said to come look at item then make offer. Got no more replies

I just got a message from this number asking me to send him pictures of my car i have on my kijiji ad to his email johnsonwoods02@gmail.com so he can send them to his wife. Seemed like a weird thing to ask someone because a normal person would just forward the ad itself. And then I noticed the number lol. I live in Ottawa so I'm not wasting my time with this scammer. This is like the 3rd or 4th time I get a scammer responding to my ads. These people need real jobs. Thanks for posting your complaints, now I'm sure it's a scam. Not gonna reply to them. Also I always notice that their messages are always numbered like the first one starts with (1/2) and the second one with (2/2). The messages are probably automated.

Text message to me in regard to my ad on CL or Cars.com.  Asking what condition and what final asking price is.  I googled his number and found several complaints.  Typical scam.  I assume he will return with Paypal or Western Union response.  I will soon advise that I am on to his shifty ways.  Only deal locally that is something I know is the safest bet.  Thanks everyone for posting on this number it often is helpful when receiving this type of message.

This jack*** tried telling me he was in the coast guard and wanted to buy my car off craigslist from out of state. Claimed he couldn't find another car like mine. Unfortunately for him I am IN the coast guard and quickly asked him questions he could not back up. Needless to say he only wanted to do money order or Paypal. Creep scammer.

Same thing happened to me, they wanted to buy my item from craigslist, then said they sent more money to cover for a shipping co. to pick up?  I kept telling them there was no transfer to my paypal acct.!!!!  Finally I told them it sounds like a scam and I didn't appreciate them wasting my time and that I was going to report them. Then the next day they had the gawl to tell me the money was in my name and all I needed was to pay an excess fee!  Paypal has no such thing! So I ignored them and reported it and no more text!

Posted ad on craigalist to sell automobile.  Guy texts wanta to send money paypal and send shipper to get car.  Wont give his name or anything.

Got a text from this number asking about my Craigslist ad. Wanted to do PayPal, & I turned him down stating I only do business in person with cash. Tried to tell me that PayPal was safeguarded & would guarantee the transaction should anything go wrong (which they definitely DON'T do). Told him that he was wrong, & that was the end of that.

This guy contacted about something selling on craigslist via text message.   Demanding $500 westen unioned back to him after paypal transaction.  I called his bluff and he threatened to turn in.  Advised him we not doing anything wrong just selling a car.  Sad that their is people out there like that.  What wrong with this world.

This is my 2nd scarmmer. they both start out wit your own craigslist posting to save time. he text me at 4:08AM..
i Googled his phone number....  scammer all over.......

Scammer! They wanted to buy our black Angus bulls for a lot of money and they from newyork and we live in Northern California?! NOT!!

It's a scammer. If someone wants to buy your stuff that much, then they can bring cash or go to the bank with you to get a cashier check.

They tried to get me to send a paypal request.for a craislist item. I told them to send a picture with their id next to their face. Wouldn't do it.

This creep replied to a craigslist posting I had - wanting to purchase my item. Offered way more than I had asked for - brought in Western Union - and claimed to have sent me PayPal monies. Then - threatened to turn ME in as a scammer - and wanted me to respond to paypalonholdfundverification@rediffmail.com

PayPal NEVER does that!
