Responded to a Craiglist tv-for-sale ad--said she/he would be using PayPal and wanted to know reasons for selling.

TRYING TO SELL ITEMS ON CRAIGSLIST, "ABIGAIL" TEXTED US ASKING FOR PAYPAL INFO, SAID THEY LIVE IN NEW YORK AND WOULD HAVE THE MOVING COMPANY PICK ITEMS UP FROM OUR HOUSE. SHE WAS VERY URGENTLY ASKING FOR PAYPAL INFO LIKE SHE DIDN'T WANT YOU TO THINK TO MUCH ABOUT IT. LUCKILY I GOOGLED THE PH NUMBER FIRST!

Said I had what he was looking for he was in new hamp. asked for paypal info asap so he could arrange to have the stereo and speakers picked up. I decided to look into this because Im from Texas how the hell did you even see my ad? This page just clarified what I was already thinking. People are so low these days!!

same here. responded to an ad i put up on craigslist. texted saying her name is abigail and that she is from new hampshire and wanted to buy my tires for her son as a present. wanted my pay pal info asap. glad i looked this stuff up before i said any more.

Definitely a scammer. Says they are offshore and need to use Paypal with their address pricepersia9099@gmail.com.

And they sent their text at 3am in the morning!! :(

Seems like someone that scams craigslist ads.

This person did the same thing to me. They tried to buy my car off craigslist without seeing it and they just loved my posting and they hoped nothing was wrong with it and wanted my paypal info. I told them sorry cah only Robert Lighfoot from Iowa.

i have the fool details of this person....his real name is Robert Lightfoot, he is from Iowa....

This person sent me a text at 2:51 a.m. and I responed to text at 7:51 a.m.  Another text was sent from them saying they are from New York, but, they are out of town and really want to purchase my item. I just sent another text and they responded immediately asking me for my paypal email. P.S. If there's anything I can do to help stop this person from possibly taking someone who might not think to check this out first please let me know. Thank you, Hope

Has been non stop askin for a paypal email says her name is abigail trying to buy my car as a gift for aomeone...my sister got the same b.s. texts over a 15dollar blender...SCAM writin all over it!

Was recently contacted/texted by this #, asking about my item I had for sale on Craiglist. They expressed their interest that the equipment was to be a gift and that they didn't care the price and condition. They indicated paying through Paypal and wanted to move forward and send them my info. Well everything was moving way to fast so I looked up the number and I saw all these posts....glad we didn't move forward! Shortly after I told them no deal they decided to cuss me! Wow real professional!

Just got a text from the same number,asking me if my car was still for sale. I was kinda worried about the number being that it was a newyork area code. So I tried to do some research on the number and here's what i found. I bet they want hear anything else from me. Thanks for your feed back guys

Got a text from this number as well. Ask what my final price was. I really hate these guys. Wish we could trace the number and location and teach them a lesson.

He just response to the Craiglist the exact same quote and asking for my Paypal a/c.

This person responded to my ad, offering $200 above my list price just to get it done "ASAP." Didn't wish to see the item, either. Complete Loser.

Thanks for your information, he tried it again without even checking the car. Perhaps let me ask for his paypal a/c instead.

Rec'd text from 646-504-5851 which is located in Manhatten, New York inquiring about a vehicle for sale listed on Craigslist located in Los Angeles.

I told them if they sent me $3000 over what I was asking as a "anti-scam deposit" I'd be happy to refund the money once the funds and their email account was verified. Still waiting to hear back. ;-)
