' We have a position for you Mr. Schmitty !
What a bunch of BS , Seems as we ' Job Seekers ' are being filtered by any & all seeking to somewhat make a Buck , Doesn't it !

I was surprised when this company called me. I have been applying online for a while. The process seemed weird, but it worked.
Curious in Chattanooga 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
I got a call from them this morning. There was actually someone on the other line and said "please hold, we are checking your references"...from my cell phone a friend (reference) called and said that she did not give any information to these people. She has since received multiple calls from them asking for a reference check. I've been being harassed for multiple days. What can we do?
UnemployedPrey 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
This number is a SCAM. It's designed to Phish for your information to be sold. I've tried the BBB but no luck. In these harden times there has to be away to stop this from happening to people just trying to find work.
cant tell you my name 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
LOL some lady called me and asked for my information and i said well do you have a proof that this is not a fraud and they hung up on me LOL that's right B*otch!
garman 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
Call came in at exactly 8:00 a.m. I missed it. No message left. I didn't call it back, I was wanting to know which of the 20 or so companies I've applied to it was... Googled it instead and ended up here. I'm not wasting any of my cell minutes on it after what I've read here! I can't really narrow it down much because I've been applying @ craigslist, jobing, creer builder and indeed, too. Thanks for the heads up on this. Whocallsme is a great idea!
El_Viejo 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
I got a call from this number, but did not answer it. I use a computer program to zap calls out of my area code. I searched for Voxbone, it shows up as a possilbe provider of VOIP phone service.
kris 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
everyone here is talking about job interviews but i just left another page talking about how these people were debt collectors? for some law firm in new york? wtf? i called it back and they wont tell me who they are without my info. tell them nothing!!
t 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
Just missed a call from this number. I too applied for a job on Craigslist. Definite scam!!
BRyan 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
I just got a call from this number. I wasn't sure if my cell phone had rung or not. It had. I looked at the number, Googled it like everyone else here, and found this page. I have not ever given out my cell phone number for a job, so how they got it I don't know. I totally dislike people like this. And I also have applied for jobs on Craig's List. Craig's List needs to figure this out. I thought they had with the $25 fee, but with the kind of money I saw floating on this pages, money is not a concerned for this scum.
tom 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
Call me twice and never left message ?
Robert 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
They are still at it. I just got the call, and they wanted me to inquire about online schooling. Then assured me that the confidential business would contact me as soon as possible.
kymbree 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
Yep, they just called me twice on the same day a few days prior. This is such BS!!! How is a person supposed to find a job these days if finding them on the Internet is completely unsafe--go f***ing door-to-door? I don't think so! I hope the people behind this get what they deserve!!!!!!
Ellie 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
I received two calls from this number but did not answer and they did not leave a message. I applied for employment via Selectcareers.com and they asked if I was interested in furthering my education. On one position applied for I said yes, on the second position I said no. I am so glad I did a phone number verification before returning any calls. I should have seen the red flags when completing the application when they said employers will remain confidential, information given was vague and it sounded to good to be true. Just as a reminder, please do not give out your SS# and other personal information (especially if you're not familar with website or employment agency). Thank you.
nicksie 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
It sounds like this is a huge scam. I filled out an online application and then got a call about continuing my education. I explained to the lady that I was currently in school why would I need to go back. Today I received a call from 646 520 0695. I did not answer and theu left no message. It sounds like they are preying on people who do not have jobs and are desperately searching for them. This is awful.
Joe 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
Great. This really sucks. I thought I had a job. I found this one through Wyomingatwork and it took me to yahoo hotjobs and then to another site. I got 2 calls today from 805-456-1721 and 800-973-0379 trying to get me to sign up for online colleges. Great. Since you're here with the rest of us they got you too. Make sure you report it to where ever you learned about the position you applied for(Yahoohotjobs/Wyomingatwork/ect...). Good luck to us all!
Heather 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
I received this call today at 9 in the morning. It was a recording in with some foreign man. I to have been applying for jobs on craigslist and filling out this so called "applications". I have also recieved phone calls about furthering my education. Well if they call you don't waste your time it is a fraud and I am so happy I googled the number before calling them back again. I am a college student just looking for a simple little receptionist job but instead I keep getting scammed over. Well screw craigslist its just a bunch of low lifes that constantly post the same crap. They should really having someone checking to see if these post are legit or just a load of crap. Well if this number calls you don't answer or call back. They are a pathetic company.

Got a call from (646-520-0695. I said hello waited 20-30 seconds and then received a recorded message to call (202-379-1426). I was about to hang up when a live person comes on the line and said his name was Skyler. He said he was from Career Network. He asked for my phone number and asked if I was who he named off. I said yes. He said I had applied for a reporters job, and then he hung up. My background is not in reporting. I apply for jobs in Operations and business.
I tried to call the (202-379-1426)number back and all I get is that all circuits are busy. So whats up is it legit or not?
Micah 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
I have been getting calls for the last two weeks from these 646 and 866 numbers. I finally answered, and it was the same application verification recording and said it could last up to 45 minutes. When the guy came on the line, I just hung up. I have my teaching certificate and applied for education jobs on yahoo. At the very end of the application, after I sent them my information, it asked if I was interested in furthering my education. Well at one point I plan on going back to get my masters, so I said yes. (stupid of me, I know.)Anyway, now I'm getting calls about it. My sister told me yesterday that there has been a ton of scams about jobs on craigslist and other job Web sites. Looks like I fell for one. Hopefully they'll stop calling me.
sylvie 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
same thing. got the call from applying on career builder even. did not leave a voice mail, but i'm def. not calling it back.
Dee Dee 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
Thanks to everyone for letting me know. I just got a call, but did not answer. I came here first.
lauren 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
I just got the call with no one there. I applied for a job with a company called permanenthire. The hourly pay rate was what caught my attention. I applied, they sent me an email saying my resume caught their attention and they wanted me to fill out a 2nd application and for me to email them back to set up the interview. There were also the "continuing education" things all over. I got weirded out and just stopped acknowledging them. This was also like 3 weeks ago and they just called me today. Do you think it could be identity theft or just a harassment thing?
Trey 2011-06-06 20:53:34 Unknown
Just got a call from this number maybe 20 minuets ago. The caller stated this was for a job application that I had filled out online on careerbuilder.com for a IT/Helpdesk Position. Asked me to verify address/phone number/name as well as email. Asked me what my desired hourly pay was and told me the information would be forwarded to the hiring manager and all other contact would be through them. They also stated that this was for a job within a 20 mile radius of my address....>.>
