It is a scam. My balance was -187.98.  I called back and got an automation. They asked for my 16 digit cc number - I gave a fake one. They asked for the expiration date - I gave a fake one. They asked for the 3 digit security code - I gave them a fake one. They asked for my pin number and I gave them a fake one. After all the information was collected I was informed that my card was safe and still protected.

My provider is Straight Talk and got the same scam

also recieved negative balance notice and do not have an account so knew it was some sort of scam

I received a message from support@ncua.gov. Your federal C.U. Balance to $-97.41 on 12/01/2012 at 6:19 pm. Please call 1-646-524-1304 immediately. Funny as a Black Negro with a Master's Degree in Information Systems Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, A Bachelor of Business Administration Management Information Systems and  an Associates Degree in Applied Science Database Specialist from Dekalb Technical College I have not been able to get a job with the Federal Government for the last 31 years and with Corporate America for the last 15 years. Therefore how could i have a Federal C.U. Balance with the Federal Government. Idiot who is trying to disrupt the American Government fool, idiot, idol worshiper you chosing the wrong people. Poor Black people have no wish to support your cause, you give use long term, real paying, brain learning jobs. Go fine someone white in Corporate America to waste their time, you dont see America is now concerned about the Baby Prince William is about to have. Get a life

I got several text messages from this number saying 189.76 had been deducted from my credit union account which is clearly NOT my CU. It must be a scam. When I called this number they said your credit card is being activated but there won't be anyone available to help you! What a joke.

I am also from Oklahoma and have received three messages from the same number. I don't have an account with these people and have never heard of them. I think it's so funny how we are all negative the same amount at the same time of day.

I received a page on an old text pager.  I have a balance of  $-419.00, love the amount they chose.  I fell to this amount on 11/14/12 at 3:02 PM ET.  I think I will close my non existent Choice FCU account especially since it took them 2 weeks to let me know about below 0.00 balance.

I also am from OK, got the same text...It's sucks that that they don't put that much thought or motivation into, oh let's say, get a job or doing something worthwhile.  Scammers, will they ever quit?  Don't acknowledge this text---it's fromlow life criminals who want to steal your money.

I also got a text this morning from FCU i have an account  this is insane why people do this SCAM

If he's from Russia, he should get stuck in the Siberian Prison for a long time. I think thats the same prison where tough guys enter and end up turning into skinny guys.

I got the message above. Its a scam wanting you to give them your account so they can steal your money. Probably some dude in Russia that has no life.

I received the same text and do have an FCU acct.  My problem is... today I cannot access my acct on line or by phone.  Maybe FCU has locked everything down in response.

Same as other Oklahomans. Got this last night at 11:54pm about the overdrawn CU account I don't have. I know that AT & T users can report spam by forwarding (Or copying) the text to 7726 (SPAM). Just follow the prompts as AT & T responds to you. I've used that service several times and have never received another repeat from the same number. Just new ones like this one :(

I've arranged to have a Nigerian bank official, who's going to send me $10,000,000, to take $211 off the top and sent it to these guys.

I recieved a text message from fcualert@choice.gov phone number 646-524-1304 telling me that my F.C.U. Balance fel to  $-225.00. I do not have a FCU account and I believe that this is a scam.

Likely a SCAMMER robodialer calling randomly hoping to reach Choice Federal CU members and scare them into giving away their account info.

samemthing, balance low on fcu account. call this number. saturday night.  disturbing howyou got my number since it is on the do not call list.

also in oklahoma....my daughter and both got the message. this is a scam and you should not replay to the text. if you have any doubt please call your cell phone provider and inform them of the text. Also the real fcu is online and has an 800 number to report scams for customers and non customers.

Text from  646-524-1304, stating that my Federal CU account balance is negative. I don't have an account at this CU.

Got the same -$221 acct balance text in Ohio.

I believe it originated from this email address aalxlexx37@yahoo.com I received another text/email and found on anothe site that this is also related to a scam claiming you have won a $1000 target gift card... I just received this text at 3am local time.  Appears FCU scam and Target gift card scam are related just FYI.

I received the message also. This is a scam. These people are also working in connection with a group from nigeria. They have people who befriends people (from possibly a social site)  of the opposite sex and then scam them. They may in a few weeks after meeting people tell them that they were robbed and need money or their child is sick and so forth.

I know it was a scam because I do not use my real number when I communicate with anyone online. This is a prepaid phone that I used that received the message. I did call the number back with no respond!

People do not fall for these scams!!

I just got this message at 1150pm in Illinois!! Rediculous! Glad I see that not just me. This really woke me up worried. Damn fools!
