I received an unknown call from voice nation. The # 646 537 2536 on the Led was new to me. Is this some new consumer scam ? Please stop this!

Caller ID said "Voice Nation." Said hello, got silence. Waited around 10 seconds, said hello again. More silence, so I hung up. I'll never understand what these people think they're gaining by calling everyone and hanging up.

6-5-09. After a brief pause, a woman came on. She told me this was not a sales call or survey, but she was calling to "put an end to the pay-to-play politics in Albany." I told her this was my office number and I don't take these calls. She said "Thank you for your time" and hung up.
