i just received a call just like that.  I am unsure of the accent - not middle eastern - but hard to understand.  They claimed to be from Global Credit Services dept of Corp Affairs.  Different phone number.  516-833-3084.  They said they were out of New York but the telephone line was scratchy.

That's just what you did!  Did you have proof of the debt?  I can't spare $500 to anyone!  This is all a scam, just report them!

Just got this phone call from 1542633 (weird that it's not 10 numbers) on my cell asking for my husband.  Of course I said he had the wrong number.  He then asked I think "am I calling to Hour?" or something like that!  I could NOT understand him!  Very heavy accent!  I told him I couldn't understand him and he had the wrong number (which he did) and hung up!  My cell number, not my husbands.

Fools!  Not getting a dime, can't sue over anything that's passed the statutes of limitations!  My husband has 3 credit cards and all are paid on time!  Just because he's trying to get his credit better, these idiots think they can call, threaten and harass!  You can sue for harassment!  Keep track of when they call, or get it from your phone company.  Present it to a lawyer and sue their a***s off!

I actually ran across this site researching the telephone number 646-543-0261.  I received a call from "Sherman" about a "legal case". I asked him about the case and he told me that he was calling from "D.C.A. Law Firm".  He gave me the address of 42 Broad Way, 5th Floor, NY, NY 10004 and a "case number".  I asked repeatedly what the case involved and he said an "unpaid pay-day loan".  I've never taken out any pay-day loans and shouldn't receive these calls at my employer.  I asked for the attorney in the office and he transferred me to "Pete Hoffman" who identified himself as the "Sr. Legal Officer", and said this matter was "really, really urgent". Strange verbage from the Sr Legal Officer is what I thought.  He told me that the case would be downloaded on Monday.  I asked continually about the case and what "downloaded" meant.  He would not give any clear explanations and finally he got frustrated and hung up on me.  I was actually trying to locate the actual business address of record etc and found this site.  Sounds like the same people to me.  This is definitely a scam, beware.  Should you find additional info please post it

Same as above, same threats, by "Peter Rothman"- sounds Indian, but the "r's" give him away as oriental. Claims to be from Department of Corporate Affairs, representing Global Credit Services.
Called my home first, then my work. Home caller id registers (115) 426-3333. He does have all accurate banking info - scary, i will prob have to change bank account. Moral of the story: DONT CLICK ON LINKS FOR UNKNOWN LOAN SOURCES- THEY'RE PAYDAY LOANS (BUT YOU WONT KNOW IT UNTIL YOU ARE DONE FILLING OUT THE ONLINE APPLICATION). THEN THEY'LL BOMBARD YOUR EMAIL, AND NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU UNSUBSCRIBE, THE SPAM CONTINUES UNDER DIFFERENT LOAN NAMES!

i paid $500 to them and now i am not getting any calls from them. Even if they are scams i prefer paying $500 and living in peace then to getting these calls repeatedly at home and my work place.

This person called me yesterday (August 29, 2011), save comments as what has been posted.  My question is how can these people be stopped.  I had the same type of phone call in July, 2011, and in May, 2011.  The phone call in July was traced back to a landline in Southern California, and the phone call in May was traced back to the Seattle, Washington area.  All of these phone calls were made by people with very heavy Middle Eastern accents.   I am just wondering what can be done to stop these people in their tracks

Yes I also recieved the same call.  But when you call the box is always full.  I have more information concern this company or person. Everytime you call it say you cannot leave a message at this ext. 588083.

I received the message from accent man too.  His name is Peter Hoffman and I need to call him now or he can only wish me luck as the events unfold on me. He called my job also and said he was from the dept of corporate affairs.

report them to the FBI immediately to stop the calls, they called my house and my work, if you report the number to the FBI they block the number from calling back again this is a SCAM and no one will show up at your house

I received a call from 15426333 today,  Heavy accent, I asked where he was located he said New York.  I can return his call at 646-543-0261.  I told him to never call me again at work. He called me about 3 months prior to today and then again today.

I just got the same message he said his name was Peter Hoffman...and i was to call him immediately upon receiving this phone call...or he couldn't help what would happen to me...so i had better call him now at 646-543-0261  what a bunch of crap...

Same as above they also state the office is located at 45 Broadway 5th floor that location is New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. This company claims to  be named Depart of Coporate affairs

The have a heavy accent and state that I or my attorney needs  to call them back and if we dont then they wish me Good Luck

Hey guys i just want you to know i also got a exact call and also spoke to that SOB Ron Warner. This guy said i took out a loan and never paid it back.. which is lies. I asked him from what company. He said hes unable to release this information because of terms and conditions with his client. They also all had indian accents and were threatening me about going to court tomorrow at 11. I called my lawyer and he said it is all a SCAM, it is illegal to harass you and to call you at work, and they need to provide documentation for the collection. All i can say is DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO OR PAY THEM THEY ARE A SCAM. If you google it there are similar numbers that say exactly the same thing. Good Luck

yes someone just called me stating the same thing but said they were suing me also... Did you resolve or get more information out of this?

Same situation as Beth above.....I have never defaulted on a loan and owe nothing.  The person comes across harsh and tries to scare you into payment through very radical claims.  Someone needs to stop them.  My caller claimed to be Peter Hoffman with the same accent

I got a call today from Ron Warner with a middle eastern accident demanding that I pay my payday loan.  He states that I was given $300 last year, he doesn't know the name of the payday loan co. just that I this amount of money $1200.23 and that if I don't pay it someone is coming to my house on Monday to take me to court at 11:00am.  And then they will be suing me for $5400.23.  I tried to get them to send me this information but he would not.  I have had payday loans in the past, but always paid them back.  I went through all my statements and never received one last year.  They have all my information, ss#-last four, last four of my bank acct and the name of my bank.  Several months ago I received this same kind of phone call at my job, and my supervisor talked with them and told them that I could not get calls at work and to stop calling, but they still do, I have since moved to a new department and am hoping they don't get that phone#!!! Isn't there anything that I can do about this????

Has anyone received a call from 91115426333 but leave this number for you to call back646-543-0261, the person has a heavy accent and they tell me or my attorney to call them back and if we didn't he wouldn't be responsible for what will happen and then says that he wish me good luck, They start out somewhat pleasant and then get really rude and annoying with the back to back calls.
