I signed up on a job/employment website and now I'm getting calls from all sorts of whahoos who want to offer me a "money-making" opportunity or who tell me that I have a refund coming and they need to verify my bank or CC information.  DO NOT ENTERTAIN THEM.  Hang up and add the number to your scam list.  They usually just hang up when you answer anyway because they're just trying to get their cold call quota done for the day.

They called me yesterday from California, and today from this NY number. The one from Cali asked if I was sitting behind a computer, and wanted me to log in. The other <NY>...didn't quite get so far. I asked the guy how he got my number, and he responded from a paid list...then continued on with his spiel. Then, I asked him to remove my name from the list.  He responded like this:

"IF YOU WOULD JUST SHUT UP, AND STOP BEING RUDE, YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I'M CALLING!" <I'm listening to this and hear a baby crying in the background scam scam scam>

with which I responded,

"Click" <hanging up>

I used to be a telemarketer and know that they are required by law to do so if asked.

They are also obligated to answer the following:
Their full name
Where they are calling from
If asking for a donation, the percentage that will go to the actual beneficiary
If the call is being recorded - if it is, and they didn't tell you from the start, they are breaking the law.

Lastly, for what it's worth, they are calling my Google number, so I just log in to my account and blacklist their number.

Received a call from 646-558-2860 while I was on another call.  When I went to see if there was a message, there was none.

6465582860 keeps calling my cell.  Can I block it?

Received call from this number Thursday Feb 7 at approximately 11 am.  Fortunately, I was away from the phone and therefore did not respond.  I suspected it was a telemarketer of some sort and having read all the comments posted above, know I am right!

Internet site - want me to sign up - 349 dollars - a deal today - I have been picked.

Friend also receives calls - probably the number - asks how her computer is working.  She has no computer!

I also received a call from this jerk asking me if I still had internet service. When I asked him what his company did he would just give me his company name and continued to press for a yes or no answer on whether or not I had internet service. He refused to tell me anything about his business and demanded that I answer yes or not and to stop answering his question with a question about the nature of his business. obviously I hung up on this jerk, looked up his number online and found this blog where he has been attempting the scam folks for months. I blacklisted his number so that he can not call my telephone again. What a jerk he is :-)

these idiots  call me daily. when i say i'm not interested, they hang up & call methe next day.

just got a call from this number and the person asked if i wanted to make money from home

I asked him to remove my name from his rolls

he said, do you want the refund from the item you ordered

i told him i did not order any item

then he hung up

So tired of these phone calls. Hopefully we will soon find a block on our phone that works.

That number called me 6 times today, Has anyone put a fax machine to the phone, and started it as the phone rings using caller ID??

Scam for sure!  They called and wanted my husband to go onto our computer so they could help him detect internet problems, or other problems on the PC.  My husband said...who are you?  They hung up!  Definitely a scam, beware!!!

Second time this week.  I am getting numerous call from other phone numbers also.

A liar in a boiler room calling somebody else a liar. Sometimes I wonder why these people were conceived in the first place.

Guy called me yesterday as I was leaving to teach a seminar.  Wanted me to log into my computer.  I told him I was leaving to teach a seminar luncheon.  He replied "I don't believe you, you are a liar!  And then he hung up.  Very professional company.

Just called.  Did not leave a message.  I use google voice so I can easily block this number.

Just received a call 2 min ago from Dewayne. Wanted $99 up front investment but never told me what the company was about. Told him didn't have it to spare due to christmas. They call all the time

Take my number out of the system of the caller.

This same number called just a few minutes ago.  I asked her to repeat her name "Carlisle" she said and that she was with Invest Max America.  I was receiving this special call for the great opportunity to invest in, this is where I interrupted & asked her again to repeat her name, she asked me if I had a computer.  I said "I'm asking again what did you say your name was!"  She repeated her name then asked me if I had a computer, I told her that I want my phone number removed from their calling list & system.  She began to apologize when & confirm my request when someone disconnected the call. I know from friends that have worked in a telemarketing environment that the caller is usually being monitored, so that boss can hang up the line.  Pretty rude but I was instructed by legal to inform them not to call then if they continue to report them.  But just so everyone knows, today they are calling themselves "Invest Max America" tomorrow could be something else.

Answered this call. they new my name. Asked me to log into my computer and let me know when I am logged in theb=n he will give me a website. I said not thanks, and he wanted to know why when i did not know what he was ofering. YEAH RIGHT! Makings for a good SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call from this number, when I answered they just hung up.

CAlled several times..does not leave message.

CALLED TWICE. WILL NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE. AND YESTERDAY CALLED TWICE. NO MESSAGE...SCAMMER, NO DOUBT

This caller keeps calling and when I tell them they have the wrong number, they just hang up.  I am being harassed by these people and I'm tired of it.

I get this caller 2 or 3 times a day asking for Denise. I have politely asked to stop calling me (I amd not Denise) but the calls are continueing. I wish to prosecute this caller! Help

I get calls from this number 2-3x a week...not sure why...

4 calls today - no voicemail.

They call most days from verious numbers this one included and ask me how I am that they are from investments ~ I tell them I am horrible because they call all the time and waste my cell phone minutes, and to not call again and hang up .
