I did not answer this call b/c i didn't recognize number.  Woke me up from my nap though :-(

I received a call on Friday, January 23, 2012 at 4:26 P.M.  I did not recognize the number so didn't answer my phone.  Who was calling did not leave a message.
How can I protect my cell phone number from unwanted calls such as Tele-marketing and advertising?  Is there a law against unwanted advertising and tele-marketers calling your cell phone?  I know there is a DO NOT CALL LIST run by the government to protect your HOME PHONE.

This number keeps calling and asking for someone who doesn't live here. How can I get this number reported?

The best way to get it to stop is for you to tell them to take your name off the list. Ninety nine percent of the time that will stop it. If you get a second call for some reason; do not yell at the agent calling you, they did not dig your number up on purpose to bother you, it just popped up on the screen. Ask to talk to a supervisor and say, "Stop calling me or I will sue you." This will get your number not only removed but also on a watch list to make sure that it never comes up again. Sue is the magic word.

Last resort.

If you claim that the person being called for is dead that number will be deleted. If you happen to just enjoy hanging up on telemarketers please do it loudly so they know and don't keep reading the script.

Just one more thing to remember, the Do Not Call list will only prevent sales calls from being made to you. Anyone with a survey or announcement is not violating that rule.

keep getting call on my cell phone. dont answer it due to dont reconize the number. wish they stop. we are not interested!

They called, I didn't answer but caller ID'ed them. Call from this Co even though I'm on Government "Do Not Call" list. Reporting of unauthorized callers to Government is a waste of time, paper tiger!

Caller hung up before I could answer. Caller ID'ed this number. Ididn't call them back. I'm on the Government "Do Not Call" list ,but it apears there is no teeth in this Government agency Which comes as no suprise

add number to your contacts...name it do not answer. that way they won't catch you answering

They left me a message consisting of:
" I am in your front yard. (Pause) To learn more about a free home security system..."

Not really the most effective way to try to sell something.

Wanted me tp place a sign in my front yard and I didn't wait to find out what for.  To begin with my home owners association would fine me if I put a sign in my front yard...
AND I am on a do not call list.

Some company that said I subscribed to them back in July, just for answering phone entered me in a 100 a day giveaway....if you call the number back, you have the option of being removed from their call list

Called this morning left no msg.  Caller ID reads "prtc hom wca".I am in So Ca area.

Just got a missed call and a voicemail from this number, though the VM was about 2 seconds long and blank.  I feel I have got a similar call from a number in this area before and it was a telemarketer or something idiot. Anyone else?
