I also got a text message in Calgary with the same thing... I'm with Telus on the phone I got the text message from but I never received one on my rogers phone... The funny part is that I did buy some things a month ago from best buy... And future shop... But it's obviously a scam

Same here, same text, Calgary AB. Upon closer examination the link is obviously fraudulent.
A real bestbuy.com link would have a slash following like:
bestbuy.com/wonacontest
however in this case the use of the . makes the name of the website bestbuy.com.wonacontest which can be found at the link bestbuy.com.wonacontest.com
Now if only phone companies would care about being the middle man to scam artists (maybe you could sue them for negligence?)

Received a text message on mobile from this number saying I won something from a Best Buy contest - that I don't recall entering. I entered the link they sent in the text and it didn't go to Best Buy - it went to some other marketing website. I live in Calgary, AB Canada and this number originates in New York, USA.

I got the same thing, yesterday it was a it was another ny # 347-354-0188. That one was even more ridulous then the Best Buy, as it was saying I had won 850,000 pounds but you claimed the prize in the US. When I was with Telus this never happened I recently switched over to Bell. I am thinking this is a Bell blunder.

Same as others, got a call/text on my cell saying I won. Don't recall entering any BestBuy contests.

Got a text saying I was a winner of some BestBuy entry. Tried the website given and redirected to a site called Ziinga. RIPOFF and since I never give my phone number, it boggles my mind how they got it. Not to mention I live in Canada and this number is from New York

"Congratulations, you have won..." Who are these creeps, and how did they get my cell phone number? I give this number to no-one, and certainly have never used it to register for anything!
