I just got the same text wanting to buy my truck without looking at it or test driving it.  Person is trying real hard to get my email/PayPal account #.

Same problem today.  Got a text message on a listed motorcycle.  Same story.  Wanted my paypal acct., wouldn't budge, and sounded weird so I came here.  As soon as I called them out for being a scammer, they stopped responding.  Don't deal with this person.  Thank you to everyone here for this forum.

i also have this number trying to scam me over my motorcycle. he asks why im selling the bike even though the reason is the first thing the post says. only paypal for a gift for his brother, and everytime ive reposted the bike its a diff reason why he pays thoughpay pal

Thanks people for all the input.  I too recieved txt from somone at this number.
didnt even ask to see a pic of the item,  told him that I would be happy to meet with him but this is a cash transaction ONLY. no paypal. no certified check through mail ect.  CASH IS KING.

I received a text message from this number wanting to buy my ford mustang, such a scammerr!!!!

I just received the same message today, twice.  I hate spammers.

This number contacted me via text message.  Yep, it's a scammer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got that same text message about a phone i'm selling just this afternoon.

Anybody that starts a text with "Good Day" I know must be up to something. The response I got was this:

Hi,Glad to read from you,i will appreciate more pictures from you. i want to ask you some questions(1)Do you still have the title(2)Why are you selling it? Because am purchasing this as a surprise for my family and i will offer you the amount you require..I can only pay through PayPal at the moment as i don't have access to my bank account online,So please get back to me with your paypal email address or set one up at paypal website, it cant take you less than 3min.I will be waiting for your reply asap... Regard...

This was a copy and pasted response from the person trying to scam me. I'm selling furniture on Craigslist not sure why he would ask about title to it... total joke...

This guy might not even be operating in the states or even NY like the area code claims. It could be anyone in the world, and this is getting ridiculous... They are very persistent with their text. How can people fall for this crap, it is so predictable lol Cash is king, the only reason why people list stuff on craigslist for sale, dunzo!~

This number text me for a Nikon camera that I was selling on Craigslist. After telling them I would not ship the item they began to harass me. They wanted to get my paypal account to send the money as well.

Got a text from this number about a phone on Craig's list sending me a PayPal link nice try beware friends.

Me 2 got text massage from this number telling me wants to buy my car on craiglist  and ask my paypal account email adress to send me money wants to buy the car for her parents suprise as gift

Textig....This number wanted to buy my item on criagslist today...sent me a payment through a site that is similar to paypal, but not Paypal.  This guy is trying to scam people.

Got a text wanting to buy a car without seeing it. Wanted my pay pall address, saying that the agent from auto parts headquarters in USA will pick it up.

the same looser is at it again, trying to buy my car from me, and wants to send it to me threw pay pal, thank you everybody for putting him on blast

Still at it.   got a text from this number too from a CL add.

I had the same experience. This idiot sent me a text wanting my paypal info saying that he cant receive calls cause hes in the military. I just kept insisting he had his "pick up agent" bring me cash. Then he gave up. What a low existance.

Don't get bitten by this snakes they will always try and try until one is victimized.

Thanks for the info guys!!! a number starting with the same few digits JUST texted me and knowing that caraigslist is full of con artist i chose to hit the net and find out if there was any scam behind them. Lowe and behold i found these comments!! good looking out!

I am a heavy internet seller and have run into lots of these. Anything over $50 is a target for this so if at all possible sell locally and only accept cash or cashiers chechs (mandatory 10 business day waiting period for checks to clear) before merchandise leave your posession. Just some friendly advice. Good luck sellers!
