Same thing happened to me. Same Paypal question and wanted to send movers from NYC to Texas for my dining room furniture. Beware! And thank you both for posting info.

Posted an ad on Craigslist for some furniture. Almost immediately got this familiar scam message stream from this phone number. Wanting to pay by PayPal.
