Getting calls don't know who it is from
| RBTSWIM 2014-06-19 15:11:07 Telemarketer |
They told me I could go F**** myself. They call also most once a week. Told them many times that we are on a do not call list, they don't care.

I just received a call looking for me (with a former last name), I told him (because that hasn't been my name in over 2 years) that he had the wrong number. The gentleman was EXTREMELY rude and demanded another phone number for (former) me. When i asked him what this was about he said something about a Microsoft-based computer. I told him I didn't have one. HE then said, "Fine we'll see you in court". I asked again, what is he calling about and what company is he calling from. He then replied in a very crass manner "Ma'am you are illegally using a computer with a Microsoft operating system and we're suing you!" I said "That's fine, because the only computer I have has a MAC OPERATING SYSTEM!" To which he then replied "Im sorry you won't be hearing from us again."

I've never had my computer professionally repaired but I just started getting these calls. They know my middle name which is something I don't often use, so I should be able to trace where they got it eventually.

I just talked to the same woman. She was really rude.

Three calls in the last three days. First two said that my computer had been disconnected from the mainframe because of a virus problem. Sure, I said, pull the other one, it has bells.
The last caller was rude to me when I called her on her b***s***. Said that I'd be getting a call from them every day. They're blocked now.

Received a call from this number. Indian person identified himself as CEO of Worldwide Web. I told him I was not interested and hung up. He called back a minute later and asked what I was not interested in and began jabbering that there was something wrong with my computer and I should turn it on. I advised him not to call again. This is definetly a scam of some sort !!!

My home phone keeps getting calls from this number. Sometimes it's a man, and sometimes a woman, but both are quite obviously computer scammers trying to fish for information over the phone. If you get a call from this number, hang up.

I keep getting calls from these monkeys. Heavy accents. The guy said his name was Aaron. He said he was calling from the World Wide Web. I said the World Wide Web is not a company. He finally said "Unico." I said where are you located. Finally he said "Maryland." He said he wanted to verify my IP address. I asked why, he said "for your security." I asked for his call back number. He wouldn't give it to me. But I said it doesn't matter since I have it in my phone now. I said I knew it was a scam and they should start doing something productive instead of this scam. It's a little unnerving knowing these monkeys already have my name, phone number, address, email address and likely other information about me.

Just had a call from this company. There was a screeching tone, like a fax, then it went silent, then it went to a beep - beep - beep tone, like the line was dead.
This number call several times a week. If they are one of the Microsoft scams as reported above, they are wasting their time as I am a Microsoft Certified Professional. My friend fell for one of these - they changed her password on her computer and refused to let her in without payment. They should have charges brought against them in their country for these fraudulent and malicious calls.

This is a major scam. They called and then cussed me out when I wouldn't give them access to my computer.

I had been ignoring calls from this number for about a week. Someone called yesterday and said they were with some company that started with a W and that my id had been deactivated and that they needed me to activate the new one. I asked what ID and they couldn't even tell me how to get to it. When i asked why it had been deactivated they said it was no longer working because it had been deactivated. So I asked again and got the same in general answer. Since they couldn't answer me, I asked them to call me back today around noon and they said they needed a specific time and i said noon. I then called HP and got all of my computer back to running 100% and all cleared up (junk files etc.). HP HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THEM. So today the same woman called me back and I said that I had gotten everything taken care of through HP and that I would really appreciate them to not call me and she hung up without saying a word. I then got a call back and I answered out of dismay at their lack of regard for my request. No one was there so I hung up. Not even a minute later I got another call from the same number and it was a man who said he was with Hotmail and listed my oldest email that I have had since I was 13 (2002) and haven't used since I was 16 (2005). And I plainly stated that I have asked someone from this number to stop calling me and I needed them to do that. And he said "who else is calling you from this number?" and i said a woman called i don't remember what the company name was but it wasn't Hotmail. He then got irritated and said "but you don't know why i'm calling", and i said "I don't care i have asked you people to stop calling" and he proceeded to tell me it wasn't his problem that other people were calling me from that number. That's when I got mad and said "It's the same exact phone number how is that not your problem?!" He then proceeded to yell questions at me and not let me answer. I got pissed off and told him to stop talking and listen to me for 30 seconds and he just kept yelling over me so I got pissed off and hung up. He called back 5 times that i declined to answer. I received 7 calls from this number in 20 minutes. I'm pretty sure this is a scam. I have read several posts that all seem to have different companies and to get passed from person to person repeatedly. I will be reporting this number. If you tell someone soliciting to stop calling they have to. Note: I am registered on the do not call list.

I was getting these calls from this number and also from 999-910-0312. Same guy. I told him every time I didn't have a computer and he hung up after I told him to stop calling. Now he calls and somehow echoes our name and number back to our caller ID. Creep.

I todl him we have not reported any issue and give me your main office number and I will call back to confirm. The person got really upset and I told him not to call back this number again.
They still call from time to time as I see the # on caller Id, today I answered the phone by mistake and told them not to call back. They are phony, don't answer this number.

I got a call from an Indian girl on a Saturday morning also telling me they were from Microsoft and that my service was cancelled because of not renewing my contract. I told her I had no issues and thanked her and hung up. She called right back very rude and I hung up. She continued to call back continuously until I couldn't make a call out. I finally was able to get to my phone carrier who could barely hear me due to their constant calling. The phone company put a block on the number for me and I suggest anyone that can do so also. phone # was 646-612-3444

Thing is these scammers are Indian criminals who work out of call-centers and buy information from street vendors who specialize in brokering information. Indian government does nothing and the US can't do anything it seems. Call blocker might be best bet.

Got a call again. Female with a heavy accent. She would not stop talking so told her to shut up and quit calling me. Told her if they called again would turn her in to authorities. And then she proceeded to tell me to shut up and at that point I hung up I get these calls for a while and then they stop so I think that my nastiness toward them has worked but then they start again I think it was Jesse on King 5 who warned us about these calls. And by the way I am on the do not call list.

He said that my computer ID had been deactivated on the internet. I played along with him for a while. He asked if I could run teamviewer for him. That is when I quite the game and told him he should not be victimizing people. and hung up. It bothers me that he knew my name and phone number. I suppose that is not to hard to have. Why can someone shut down these frauds?

Have received numerous calls from this number. Finally, I decided to answer a call and got the same bs about my computer. Told him I didn't have a computer and he hung up. Thought that would be the last of it, but now the calls have started again. I guess he's a slow learner.

Telephone call - SCAM claiming I have a problem with a virus on my computer. He confirmed he was calling from India. told him there was no way he could determine there was something wrong with my computer. I also explained that what he was doing was a crime and he could go to jail if they ever catch him. He said he was not aware of that and I hung up.
