I had to buy the call blocking service for my phone to get this number to stop calling multiple times EVERY DAY. The amount of calls has lessened, but I get calls from different numbers every now and then with the same bullsh*t. Planning on changing my number because of it.

I get a call from 646-612-3456 two or three times a day several times a week.
Today the heavily accented Indian said he was from Global.. said my husband gave him my phone #... totally untrue and I want nothing to do with them... they are definitely nothing but trouble.. must be a scam.

Okay, I just filled out a long form with the FCC and hopefully that will help, although somehow I doubt it.

This number has called at least three times today. I just scream at them and they hang up. How annoying! Isn't there anywhere to report them? I tried the FTC complaint form online, but it didn't seem to fit any of the categories.

I've been getting calls from this number - person on the other end has an accent so thick, I can't even begin to understand him, but last week it was an Indian woman and I hung up on her. My called ID says wireless caller.

I also received a call from 646-612-3456 from a woman identifying herself as "Amy" from Microsoft services department. Very thick Indian accent. She hung up when I told her to stop because I was not interested. FYI: I have also received calls from 209-542-2721 from various different voices and American sounding names but very thick Indian accents, also claiming to be from Microsoft. From what I have found out this is an on-going scam and this New York number is just one of them.

This is a SCAM. They want you to go to their web page and allow them to clean your system of viruses. They then take control of your machine and plant a virus that only they can fix for a cost. Since your machine is now a zombie, if you refuse, you are down for the count. When you call back the price has doubled..and so on.
The company claims either to be from the World Wide Web, or the Windows Help Desk, or Microsoft Trouble Team; the name changes every few weeks.
They also spoof numbers so blocking them is pretty futile after the first few calls.
Not to mention that they get really nasty if you question them as to what they are doing.

Same number leaves a message three, four times a week. Sounds like a call center but can't distinguish what they are saying.

Caller ID says "Cell Phone NY". The guy asked me questions about my PC. When I asked him the same questions he said I was wasting his time, and hung up.

Guy with thick accent calls, tells me he is going to help me fix my Microsoft on my PC. I yell at him that I own a Mac, take my name off your list, don't ever call me again. Every day, between 3-6pm, I get the same phone call. Dang.

"Brian" called from Microsoft Worldwide to help me with my PC. I told him I didn't owe any computers and that he needs to stop calling me. Then I screamed into the phone and hung up. They call me every single day.

I too have gotten these calls and oithers. Whenever I get a call from a number I don't recognize, I switch to speaking Spanish or even Chinese. Apparently they are not prepared for this and hang up.
What would be idea is if we could source the real numbers for these fools and begin our own DOS calls to them. One after the aother.

I keep getting calls from 646-712-3456, and as soon as I pick up the phone to say hello, I hear strange noises and then a disconnect.  I have called the number back, and get a recording that this number is no longer in effect or has been disconnected.  How can I get a call from a number that is disconnected?  I get these almost every day.

they called abt 12:30 PM and said with thick choppy mid eastern foreign accent they were from "Global"  my spouse could not understand what they said but it was in reference to computer virus or something.  He yelled at them they have already been told he doesn't have a computer and to stop calling here. (they have been calling from unavailable) and the guy on the phone said then, "you can just hang up, then" and started yelling.so my spouse yelled back until the idiot hung up. very funny that right before this, the same accent called from "American Medical Department" from 206-777-1016. and there are plenty of posts about that number, too. the caller id says 646-612-3456 is wireless caller

I just got about 10 minutes of priceless entertainment.... Got the call from 646-612-3456 and the "Tech Support" person told me that I have a virus and "junk" on my computer. I acted like I trusted him and he asked me to press the windows key. I swear I had him trying to get me to find the windows key on the keyboard for about 10 minutes. Then he tried to get me to download software that would let him "Fix" my computer. I just kept telling him I was doing what he asked. Each time he would say "Do you see .... screen? Do you see the ... button? Press it." I would say yes until I finally got bored. I just started laughing and told the guy he was crazy. He still tried to tell me that he was from Microsoft... I finally hung up. Amazing...

I have received now three phone calls from Greg from windows support and when I ask him what kind of errors he avoids the questions and says he can tell me if I get on my computer. Do not believe this man he is trying to put viruses on your computer. I don't have my phone number anywhere in any of my windows accounts and somehow he calls. The first question he asks is if you have a windows computer just say no and hang up

Same number calling me and not leaving messages. I'm not in the habit of picking up numbers identified only as "New York"; and am continuing to ignore them thanks to this post/site.

Got a call similar to the others about my computer transmitting some sort of signal to Microsoft.  The lady on the phone wanted me to go to www.teamviewer.com.  She got upset when I wouldn't comply.  I dialed the number that showed up on caller id and it was the above number.  The mailbox was full.

I received a call from (646) 612-3456 and it was a guy with a HEAVY Indian accent saying my Windows 8 computer was currently downloading illegal content. First off, my computer wasn't even turned on when I answered, and I use Windows 7.  I asked him how he knew I was using windows 8 and he said I needed to follow his instructions to correct the issue.  I asked him what company he worked for and he said "Smart Tech", when I asked him how he knew it was my computer "supposedly" downloading stuff, he deflected and continued to try to get me to open event viewer, I eventually just hung up.  I get called from that number about 1-2 times a week now.

Foreign accent (Indian) DEMANDED to speak to family member about urgent computer issue. I am a caregiver for an elderly widowed Altzhiemers patient, and this moron called me a liar! Said someone requested that he call back in one hour (who's the liar, I was here all day). Is there ANY way to  stop this, get them blocked, call law enforcement? This line is for Dr.s and family only, the patient has leukemia and is on oxygen, and is on every no-call list that could be found. Yet they keep calling.

THE Windows scam call!!!!!! I Got called twice in 2 minutes. I told them A) I don't have any windows products and B) that their scam is all over the news and newspapers and that I would report them as well. They called back! the same woman (with a very deep Indian accent) to "explain" what they were doing, I used several explicit words (they wouldn't pass for PG-13) repeatedly and called her a few that wouldn't make an NC-17 movie and she finally hung up and I haven't heard from them since. I was starting to make a list of words for their third call.......it never happened (but I kept the list, just in case).

I receive at least 2 calls per week. Always a person with a thick accent. I told them I was on the "Do not call list" and he asked what that meant. If they don't know what that means they are not working for anyone from here, or legal.

I've received 5  calls in the last week from this number (you'd think they would try changing the number that appears on your caller id after all this time!).  The creepiest was last Saturday morning.  I was still asleep.  I said "hello" twice before anyone responded then it was just a voice that said "Good Night".  Kind of freaked me out since it was not night.  Today I got another one telling me that my computer was sending error messages.  I asked him what file was causing the problem and he told me it was "csrss.exe".  I told him I thought that file was essential to Windows and I didn't want to delete it for fear it would mess up my computer.  I then asked him about his credentials--did he have a PhD or was he post-doctoral.  He wanted to know why I wanted to know that.  I told him it was so I could make sure I was dealing with someone who actually had the ability to deal with any situation with my computer.  Then I told him  I would not allow him access to my computer and he should go get a real job.  I don't know what he said after that--I hung up.

Just got a call similar to the ones listed above. I was told a Windows 7 or 8 machine was sending error messages. When I pressed for specifics, he couldn't provide any. I told him I'm only running XP (not true), and he hung up.
