Got a call from a certain Cate Mitchell, I suspect this to be a scam, please help I gave my details

This number called and claiming they will offer me a canadian visa.. Good thing I search this in google and now I know this is a scam only.

this number keep calling everyday but never pick up because its foreign number though..its appeared that come from NY,USA..is it a scam?

Received a call from this number this morning.The person had a British accent and knew my nam and said they got my name from some Organization.

Going to report to Authorities!!!!!!!!!!!!

I receive the same calls they got my info from the USA gov sight I applied online for an American green card!  Green card lottery program!

got a call from these people, seem to be scammers, whats more annoying is they seem to have gotten my number from a government website. therefore someone from the US government is selling my personal info to these scammers. very annoyed.

NY, USA at 3:00pm
Firstly, I pickup the phone and answer she spoke to me she from an immigration agency of US.
Then, also talking about US visa which i filled up before 2 days ago. And asking my status in my life profile, personal as well as professional details and also giving the information about staying in US. I answered her question but I not sure address staying in US.


However, she said I'm positive green card lottery application and send me an email prompt me to pay by credit card on the spot. She said application fees is $855.
I was very nervous right now, and keep asking for my credit cards details for one payment for application of US green card /visa. I know this is a scam so I hesitate to disclose my credit card details.

I think it's all because of I apply for the American program green card?

I got this number keep bugging me as well. More than 10times a day. A person name scoot from gslexperts so called American green card lottery. I do fill up the form before. First call I pick up n answer basic question he asked, and he said that I'm positive in this green card lottery application and send me an email prompt me to pay by Paypal on the spot. After that call, I didnt pick up this number anymore. And holy cow, he called me all day n night.

You cannot buy a US Citizenship green card. To get one you must apply at a US Embassy (out of the country). All the information you need is at the "U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services" website. Never pay a fee to a 3rd party that says they can get you a card.

This is bogus thing right?

in that case why the authorities letting this scums to get more victims? obviously they can be track down by phone no. and the email that they been given us.

oh my god is this really a scum? i also have a call from this no. +1 (646) 616-6770 just this morning 28 july 2013, i spoke to them give my personal details including my card no. but i am lucky because i just take all the money from my debit card.but they told me that it will be automatically deducted once i load my card, is there anyway to counterfeit them regarding my situation?and in additional my girlfriend did it just as i did and she has 300 Singapore dollars in her debit card. what shall we do? anyone can explain it.?

I received a call from a lady saying that I applied a Green Card Lottery (But I did applied) in the USA, then suddenly she was saying that I need to pay 396 USD, I didn't know what it was for but I know that is like an application fees. They asked for my Visa Debit Card number, I gave them the 16 digits, but I did not give the 3 digit security codes.

And so, I hope they couldn't get anything from my bank because it's EMPTY LOL

I as well received the call from this number.
As I have nobody in USA, CAN or AUS...I didn't pick up. I was browsing the other day on the mentioned web site www.canadianvisaexpert.com and left my phone number on it, but I didn't proceed into logging in fully.
And today the call.
Is there any possiblity to stop this scam...specially for the ones who are not aware of this type of tricks.

I just got a call from this number saying that it is a legal organization helping those who want to immigrate to Canada. She actually knew my name. Well of course I am never going to give them any money...but why is this happening? Isn't it possible to find some legitimate organization that can help with VISA procedure without scamming people out of their hard earned money. This is just wrong

This is USAFIS organization; And I won a green card I checked it out from official site in US. It is true, not scam.

hi guys even I got a call from same number, one man spoke to me, " r u Mr, shad I said u is calling he said iam calling from Canada this is very important call, then I said sorry wrong number and then I disconnected, then again next day a lady called me, I replied her the same. Alhumdullilah today I google this number and surprise to found that I am not the only one. guys please be careful.

I have been called by that number several time in the past week. Being curious, I decided to answer the call (even though I though this was a scam) and the lady on the other end not only knew my name but spoke perfect french (no Canadian or other foreign accent). She supposedly called to follow up on my immigration application to Canada. Knowing that the number came from New York, that they called me on a sunday before and that people said on the internet that this was a scam, I said that I didn't apply for a canadian visa (which is true) and she said she revoqued my application and hanged up. This left me confused as the woman sounded very official.

I'm from Brazil, and my cell registered this number, but somehow, is also calling my home phone.
