I got a similar call from Officer Rex Coffin and when questioned about what next, put me on to the so called local sherif's office and asked me to call back on 646 503 1213.

I get calls from this number at least twice a week. They never leave a message. First off I don't answer calls I don't know. Second, I have call block so I added the number to my blacklist so I don't ever have to see it. These scams are goin all the time. They're from other countries but use magic jack so they can route us numbers. Most scam calls originate from India and Nigeria. Be careful

I just listened to a message on my voicemail at home from 646-713-2933 saying they were a company that does payday loans/installment loans consolidations with an A1 rating and they can help me save 1000s in interest if I let them help me. Glad I checked out the number online first. I'm used to getting the threatening calls from men with Indian accents but this was an american accent.

Back in Dec 2013, I rec'd several calls from 605-983-6092 X 105-Duwayne McGuire, and after being scared to death by the threats my mother, whom has done investigations for the FBI, asked many, many questions pertaining to his accusation's.  He said that I had taken out a Pay Day Loan and that the sheriff's office will be at my house, HE KNEW MY ADDRESS, and/or at my place of employment, WHICH HE ALSO KNEW, to arrest me.
He stated that I would have to go through the process of being arrested. I was would have to spend 30 days, mandatory in jail and after that I would be able to go to court and find out why I was arrested in the first place. What a freaking joke.
After over an hour or so that my mother was getting and prying details from him, he said that if I was to go to the Clerk of the Court, Palm Beach County, FL, and turn myself in this would avoid the Sheriff's from coming the next AM to arrest me.
Long story short, we filed a Complaint with the FBI regarding the scam. Now after 2 months I am getting same phone calls and threats!

They call and email me all the time. Saying I have a pay day loan 646-713-2933. They have all kind of numbers they call from. I almost fell for it but I threatened them with my attorney. But they will wait a awhile and try again. Just got another call. I mess with them. I told them I filed a harassment charge on him personally. He got mad said a few choice words and hung up.

I just received a call from this number and the voicemail stated that they were a consumer debt relief consolidation company that will help reduce your pay day loans by half the amount from a federal act.

Received a call from 646-713-6933. I have been harassed by scammers in the past so before I call back any number I do not recognize I googled it and found this message board. In my case the call was about consolidating payday loans and reducing the interest by 50%.
Considering I don't have any payday loans not sure how I got on their calling list.

Yes, I got a phone call from these people as well.  They are scammers.  Also, what they do as well if you do not answer their phone number, they will call back using an instate line where you live so you believe it is somebody you know calling from within your state.  Do not answer this as well.  

please beware of similar scam call from 646 number this time it was 6465586549  and they spelt the last name correctly and just give initials of your first name. Just because they say federal agents and non bailable warrant issued against you , iam sure many people get worried and just pay whatever they ask for

Left msg about being a debt consolidation company and that they could stop collection calls and cut my payments in half. Don't call back.

Just received a call from this number and immediately looked it up here. They claim to be advocates for consumers against payday loan companies. They said they could reduce interest, harassing phone calls, etc. after reading the posts here I am assuming they are just trying to get information to steal my identity or possibly just drain my bank account.

We just received a call from Roger Gibson phone number 646-766-0032 and claims that we did not file form 16 and we need to pay penalty otherwise the cops will come and arrest us in 30 min. I was asking all kind of questions and he did not have the answers for them. Finally he said you have so many issues I will file you legal action and send you police at  your door. I told I will call the police on you.  

Received phone call from 646-929-4625 claiming to be Officer Sophia Brown from Crime Investigations of IRS. They have 3 federal allegations against me. I told her I was having great difficulty understanding her english - could I talk to somebody else in the office. I was disconnected. When I called back, got recording that this is a magic jack customer! Called 10 minutes later and got man on phone. I asked where I was calling -crime investigaton dept; what city - New York; what company - IRS. When I asked who was the IRS Agent in charge of the office, I was disconnected.

We got a call from 646-713-2933 yesterday and my wife picked up the phone the guy on the phone said your husband has not paid taxes and she has to pay some 2K to avoid my arrest or else cops will come in 40 mins and arrest, she got scared somehow called me on mobile and I asked her to give my number and call me.
A guy named Alex called me and said that I failed to file Form 61 so have to pay the amount with penalty and if i don't pay they will come to my home in 40 mins, after i questioned his credentials and figured out he was a fraud and asked him to hang up.
But they did not leave it there after 20 mins they came back with plan B - Called my mobile and caller id said the call was from Home so i was tricked
into believing that they were calling me from my home number and person said he is from the local sheriff's office and calling from my home and my wife was being interogated by another officer and if I don't go to the nearest Walmart and transfer(pay) the money then they will arrest my wife and put her in jail, when i asked if I could talk to my wife they said no and if I asked again they will hang up and arrest my wife immediately, so I went to Walmart and about to put money on the cards the lady at the cusomer service asked if the caller was claiming to be Federal tax agent and when i said yes she asked me to hang up the phone and told me it is a scam and they have seen atleast 10 instances of this scam.
Called the local police department and repoted this incident and they are investigating, they would have got our info by hacking into some database that we all use probably Vonage

We received a phone call from a 212 area code today at 9-43am and told us either to call back to the number 646-713-2933 or to surrender to the nearest police station within 30minutes, otherwise we will be arrested by an warrant they will release after that time.

These all calls originated from India and he mentioned his name is jack Adam
But I recognized his way of talking English. They are crook want your money be careful Guys these Indians Ghadis

We got a call this morning from 732-678-9000 and the person told us that there is a federal complaint against us. He asked us to call 646-713-2933 to Sharif Micheal Black. I called my local police department and they asked me to ignore it as it is a scam.

Never call back to that number 646-713-2933. Police told me that they are looking for some quick money to settle.

Got a voice message from a Jake Marshal (had a heavy accent) said he was from the Montgomery County (our local county) Sheriffs office he said that I had a number of federal complaints and that I needed to call Thomas O'Brian at 646-713-2933 within 30 minutes or he would send the cops to arrest me. The call originated from 309-585-8044 which also has a number of complaints on this site.

I am leaving this as Call Type Unknown as there is no category for Fraud or Harrasment

I just got the call from 6467132933. He referred to me as mr. Bashir and repeated the same charges of federal offenses, unpaid taxes etc. When I told him that my name is Arvind but my wife,s surname is Bashir. He repeated the same charges against her. I mentioned that we have no notification from IRS or any law enforcement authority he threatened to send his officers to arrest my wife in the next 45 minutes. I am waiting for the arrest team to come

Just got a msg on my answering machine asking to call back for a federal investigation!!! The msg states it is calling form the Sherrif's office of the county we live in and gave a (646) number to call back.

Yeah but how do we report these scammers during a government shutdown? the FCC is out of commission. Obviously they're taking advantage of the shutdown...

Yes these appear to be Prank calls- 646-713-2933. Do not pick up. The man had an Indian accent!

Got a voice mail today on our land line when we got back home from work. The message said he was Alex Watson from Federal Crime something and that if we didn't call back on 646-713-2933 and speak to Thomas O' Brien about a complaint filed against us  he would immediately send investigative officers to our residence or place of employment with arrest warrants. So his accent when he uttered some words could have been  Indian and maybe some other country, I really could not make out. We are of Indian heritage and have common Indian surnames so I was wondering if they were targeting mainly the Indian community or maybe immigrants, not sure. Unfortunately for him /them we have lived here for more then 25 years and work in facilities  where there is no way anyone can enter , let alone bring an arrest warrant plus we know we have paid all our taxes but I think many folks may get scared with such a call, they should be caght

Got a voice mail on Oct 15th, 2013 at 3:29 PM from caller id 716-254-4174. Caller said calling from Erie County Sheriff's Office, but identified himself as deputy Alex Watsonier. He mentioned he was investigating about a federal complaint by officer Roger Gibson of Federal Crime Enforcement Division regarding my wife. He asked to surrender her to the nearest police office or call Federal Crime Enforcement Division office Roger Gibson at 646-713-2933. He threatened to send cops to the doorstep with an notarized arrest warrant in case there is additional complaint against my wife. Message states to call office Roger Gibson at 646-713-2933. I believe this is an attempt for money extortion.

My local PD told me to ignore this message.
