Its called an alias name. That way we know what its about when you call in. A lot of firms closed down because of the Financial Meltdown. Look at Bear Steans. Lehman Brothers. Has nothing to do with Finra and SEC. Where do you get your facts. I can't believe this website is able to post remarks up here that are so false is absurd. Can't People or clients sue over this.

Thanks for the posts.  I am attorney.  My assistant just got a call from "Mike Phillips" who said that I knew him.  She tried to find out what he was calling about and he (eventually) responded, "ICC."  So I Googled "Michael Phillips ICC" and found this.  Thanks for saving me from wasting my time or worse.  Everybody is trying to screw you.  The number he left for me was 646-448-3548.

I just got a call from a Mike Phillips w/ ICC, he was quite terse with me when I asked him what ICC was about, as if he's not used to being screened by now. He said ICC was an investment firm. I asked him to hold for a moment and did a quick Google search for 'Mike Phillips ICC' and found this page. I let him hold until my phone beeped at me several times hoping he'd hang up but he was persistent. I told him my boss was not available and asked for a # to call him at, he declined saying he'd try back at another time. I asked for the number to see if it matched this page's number.

I always snicker at these fools because I know they'll never make it past me and I get to waste some of their time keeping them on hold and getting their hopes up that they've made it past the gatekeeper.

Just got the same call..."Michael Phillips" and the phone was staticky (or either he did this on purpose) and I could not hear him well.  I said "and can you spell your last name?" and he said "Phillips" and almost hung up on me.  I googled, as I always do people I don't know (for my boss) because I've been here 14 years and like the others have said, if I don't know them or recognize them, then neither will my boss.....  Thanks for saving me from wasting my boss' time!

I just got word from my secretary that Mike (He Says You Know Him) Phillips called.  He's a hard working dude, a one-man stimulus package.  All the way down to 757 in his Martindale list.

Got a call for my boss from Mike Phillips from 646-722-8126.  Asked for my boss by first name - said my boss would know him.  When I asked him to repeat his name, he became very irritated and rude - I knew it was a solicitor.....said he was calling from ICC Corp.  So glad my boss looked up this website.  I HOPE he calls back and I answer!

Just received a call from Mike Phillips @ 646-722-8126.  He asked for my boss by his first name and told me he was calling from ICC Corp.  My boss was not in so I took the message and without saying "bye" or anything he just hung up, which made me suspicious and is why I looked up his number.  Good to know that this guy was full of sh*t before I passed on his message.

Wow, must be Nevada day for Michael Phillips from Edison Energy -- what a rude creep!  I got the same song and dance, its a "corporate issue" and something about an issuance of debt.  And oh yes, my boss would know him by name -- funny thing is he called on the main line which is always my first clue that its a sales call because anyone that actually "knows" my boss has his direct dial number.  These guys call all the time and always a different name and different story BUT ALWAYS RUDE!

Thanks for posting, sure helps save me and my boss from having to deal with these people.  I the other persons response that she hung up on him before he gave his number -- "if he knows you then he will have your phone number too!"  That's great -- thanks for the laugh!  I wonder if those idiots read these posts.

Just got the same call from a Michael Phillips of Edison Energy.  I was wary right away as I could hear noise in the background. When I asked what it was regarding he replied "Corporate Issue".  When I asked who referred him to my attorney, he said he'd recognize the name. SCAM!!

I got the Michael Phillips/Edison Energy call this afternoon.  The attorney was out and I was pretty sure it was a telemarketer as I recognized the voice.  He said the attorney would know him. I said I would let him know he called and was ready to hang up when he said "Don't you want the telephone number to give him?"  I said no, if he knows you he'll have it, and hung up.

Yep!  Just got the same call.  "He'll recognize the name."  We get calls from these people ALL THE TIME.  We don't even take their information.  Losers.

The exact thing happened to me! He just called my office and confidently asked for an attorney by his first name and said he was from Edison & Ed...(mumble). I told him he wasn't in, and he said, "He'll recognize the name" and "He'll know what it's regarding".
I don't think so! I hope he calls back. I'm going to ask if his name is Michael Phillips, or Michael Murphy and if he's from Edison energy or Murphy & Gallagher. The jig is up, buddy! LOL

Yeah, Michael Phillips just called my office asking for one of my attorornies! He said that the call was in reference to Edison Energy! I knew this guy was a fake. I then Googled the number he gave me for a return call and found this info. Thanks guys!!!!!!

My boss got a message from Michael Phillips and asked me to find out about the call.  Before I returned the call, I checked out the number on Google and found this.  Thank you everyone who bothered to leave a post!   It saved me a lot of time in the long run and didn't even have to talk with the rude jerks!

His name is now Michael Phelps (the olympic swimmer).

"Michael Phillips" called here and said that my boss would "recognize the name" and it was regarding "River Rock".  I then googled it because I was suspicious.  I had to pull teeth to get this information.  He said to have my boss call as soon as possible to run some things by him.  Liar!

Yeah ... I got this idiot today.  Somebody else called yesterday.  They keep telling me it's about United Refinery and that my bosses will know what it's about.  I've been here 25 years.  If I don't know about it, then neither do they.

Michael Murphy from Murphy & Gallagher, so he tells me, called today.  I love how they try to make it sound like they know the person they are trying to reach and that they are getting back to them.  As the only person who ever answers the phone in my office, if I don't know you, my boss doesn't either.

My boss got a message from Michael Phillips and asked me to find out about the call.  Before I returned the call, I checked out the number on Google and found this.  Thank you everyone who bothered to leave a post!  These guys really are rude jerks.  When Michael Phillips answered the phone now he was Michael Murphy.  I told him not to call again and he started to get rude with me so I told him that I would give out his phone number to all of the homeless people and tell them to call for free stuff and then I hung up.  Within 5 minutes, I got a call from a man named Tennison (pretending to be a person of authority) who said all I had to do was ask and they would stop calling.  I know you guys are all saying right!  But if you think about it, they make their money on the phone.  If they are receiving harassing calls, they can't be making them and they can't make any money!  

I truly hope this puts an end to the numerous calls from these bozos!  If not, I now know what to do.

Murphy called here using tel. 646-722-7784 and he has called here before using a different name but I recognized the voice. Hard pressure on me to put his call thru to the boss' voice mail which I refused to do, he would not give his company name, claimed "your boss knows me" and "just tell him Murph called him back" and was very patronizing to me snottily asking why I was so nosy about the boss' callers. Very unpleasant person, seems to think I am so stupid I do not know what he is up to. Two times ago when a harassing phone call came in from him my boss told me to tell him that we were notifying the FBI and that I did when he called a second time the next day - he just laughed and hung up the phone. All I can say is, too bad they don't torture fraudulent securites sales people and their own bosses. I say put 'em in Guantanamo because they are nothing but "financial ter**r**sts"!

I was doing a phone search on this number in order to supply more information about the unknown caller to my boss.  Now I know to not even bother with it.  Another telemarketer basically - a dishonest one at that.  Thanks for the info!

Total scam.  A customer's first trade is free to lure customers in, so that Ignatowich can get the account.  Then he churns the account time and time again.  The customer almost always ends up losing money, and so do the countless wannabes who work for Jim.  He pays his employees nothing, and laughs all the way to the bank.   ICC itself may not be a scam, but ICC made a big mistake taking on this group.  You say ICC is publicly traded.  So what?  Just because a company is publicly traded doesn't make it legitimate (ever hear of Enron or Worldcom).  You can check the stock price for ICC, to say the least, they haven't participated in the economic recovery.

One thing I forgot.  Ignatowich also brainwashes each and every guy who works for him, and also his poor customers if they are gullible enough.  If anyone working for ICC reads this leave before Ignatowich fires you, the guy does not want you to succeed.
