I called that number again this morning, same guy same b***s***. I cursed him in hindi and he cursed back in Hindi. These guys are not afraid of anything, they are running open extortion in broad daylight and no one can do anything about it.

I agree it seems like they are getting smarter.

Please don't give them any money or any information at all.

These guys may even call you right before major holidays or on them to try and extort you.

One guys calls from local number 609-678-9000, told me I have 3 crimes against me and arrest warrant in next 45 minutes (first suspicion). Asking me to call back 646-751-0004. When called 646-751-0004, they guy had my wrong address (second suspicion) and kept scaring me. I asked counter questions and they guy finally said, just report to your local police station and hung up.

How to stop this impostors?

This person with an indian accent contacted me regarding some Federal law suit and I need to contact him. He presented himself from the Federal Crime Enforcment Network. It's a scam.

My dad got the phone called about same thing and he still call and say i m callin from IRS go to walgreen and CVS get the green color gift card and put the money and give him the card number ....He only accepted gift cards... NO CHECK...what a JOKE...what kind a IRS office is that.... This guys thinks in USA goverment works like india or pakistan ppls :)

I also got a call from this number and i read the message after a week. This blog seems very very helpfull and thanks to all of you who posted this message. It seems they are targetting VOIP phone number customers. I also ignored it.

Received a call this morning for this number (646-751-0004).  Claimed to be from IRS and threatening my wife with Police arrest etc.  They had old address which was give away that call was a scam.  When we asked for a number for call back he disconnected the call.  Phone call quality was horrible and sounded cheap VOIP service.  

I agree! Why would the police call and say we're on our way to arrest you in a few minutes so save yourself and send us money right away. So Dramatic.

I received a call today as well from the same number,  person claiming to be from IRS got a translator for me. He even had federal IDs. He said my arrest warrant has been issued and the police will arrest me in 35 mins! Wanted me to send $2741 within 35 mins to cancel the warrant. I realized this is a scam when he told me to load the money on greenland.moneypak.

Pretty sure federal people don't use money pak. Be careful people!

Got a call from 507 375 3585 stating calling from Minnesota State Police department, Olmsted county regarding 3 federal charges filed against me and with in 30 minutes I will be arrested if I don't take care of the issue. This person told me if my line gets cut call 641 751 0004 while he transfers the call to FBI. The other person called himself as "Agent Michael Black, #6721" states I didn't fill up IRS form-61 for the year 2010 and I owe $1991. He asked whether I want to take care of this off the court and started asking how many money you have in bank account etc.. This is where I told send police to my office and I will take care of it. He also mentioned will cancel my passport right away.

I read all the messages and called them back - Then used some choice Hindi words. Lot of fun. Will call them again a couple of times and have more fun.

I just got call from 646 number and the person had a foreign accent.  It was not an Indian accent.  Sounded like Nigerian accent.  He said there is a federal arrest warrant in my name and he mentioned an address for me.  If any one gets this call , report it local police

I got a vmail this morning to call officer John Adams - Looks like Kevin Brown is getting too old so they switched to John Adams.  He told me they had an arrest warrant for me.  I asked him where he was calling from he said Manhattan.  I told him I was going to call the New York Police Department to confirm his identity.  He hung up.

That's a personal favorite of mine. Why do they want you to call them if they have a restraining order against you? With a restraining order they want to get rid of you! I think the big problem is SKY-tv in India is playing first season episodes of 'Law & Order'. They were playing 'Perry Mason' for a while. Great show, but out of date.They give Asian's a bad name!

Of course its a scam!   They don't even know what government entities there are and they try to make up and fake them.   Some are hilarious.  They don't know how the laws work and try to wing their way on them.  My special favorite is when they try to extort money by claiming that they have a "Restraining order"  on you.  They have no clue what a restraining order is or does.  Have a little fun with them when they call.  After all,  they are our Bollywood Boiler Room friendly scammers from Mumbai   and Karachi.

Called on Monday morning saying that he was with the Federal Crime and Investigation Bureau calling on behalf of the Merced County Police.

Said I needed to get in touch with Officer Thomas O'Brien about an outstanding arrest warrant.
The caller had a thick Indian accent trying to disguise it as an American accent. Said that I needed to call 646-751-0004 right away if I didn't want the police to show up at my door in 45 minutes.

When I asked him his name he said it was Jack Marshall.

The whole thing sounded like a scam.

I got the call from this number and they were fraud I didn't know that when I found it about them they already took money from me. Can u help me to find them.

My elderly mother just got this call saying there was a federal complaint against my father (who has been deceased for over a year).  I was told to call back Officer Roger Gibson.  The accent actually sounded jamaican to me!  I didn't recognize the accent as being Indian.

Man with Indian accent called looking for one of our doctors stating warrant out for his arrest. If he did not call officer OBrein back they would dispatch officers to our office.

Received phone call from this number early morning someone  who said that I did not file form 61 which was sent by IRS and living in this country illegal and I owe the IRS penaly of $2934 and if I do not pay they will send police to arrest me.

Yes I received a similar call from the same number asking to call Alex Swatson. When i called the number there was someone with a Indian accent and he said his name is Autin Reed badge ID 75044. In fact at the same time he said there is someone from local attorney general office will be calling me. I got a call from a different person saying Davin Jenkins asking me to pay some $2180 for some 2012 federal taxes due. Yes both these guys were very rude.
Another number is 732 254 1487 where he called from. Please be careful.

Same thing a call from a guy with Indian accent.  Left message to turn myself in because of outstanding warrants or call 646-751-0004 and talk to officer O'Brien.  They had the wrong name for me or I may have called back.  

Received phone call from this number from someone name Rex  Coffin who said that I did not file form 61 which was sent by IRS and living in this country illegal and I owe the IRS penaly of $2078 and if I do not pay they will send police to arrest me . I called the police dept. in my prescient and informed them and they told me it is scam and dis regard phone and inform tel co. to block this no.

Received a voice mail saying there is a warrant for my arrest.  He had a thick accent and indicated he is from Dept of Federal Crime ....

Impersonating a officer is illegal also!
