I just received the same message and I am glad to have seen this information. Obviously a scam.

Same email from Rick Smith. Thanks for posting these messages. I believe he has some type of second hand store and is buying items and cancelling the transaction and reselling the item. He is getting the items for free. How can he be stopped?

I just got this same exact email. Verbatim, but different cellphone# 501-232-1052.... I am not going to respond.

My favorite part about this scam is when the scammer says they can only pay with Paypal. Besides telling them you don't take Paypal, the next quickest way to stop them is to ask for THEIR Paypal address first. Just tell them you'll send them a Paypal invoice. First off, you'll probably never hear from them again, but if they do send you a Paypal address, contact the fraud section of Paypal. Quick, over, done. Much easier to just say "No Paypal" in your ad. Craigslist, & Kijiji are not eBay.

Red Flags all over, like Paypal only, signed with his last name, etc. I will not be responding.

I also have gotten an email from this same indivdual. He says the same thing in my email as well.

I got contacted through Craigslist as well. He said he was out of town working with turner construction in a rural area and wanted to send movers and that this would be a surprise.  I'm not responding back its probably a scammer.

This person contacted me through a Craigslist ad I posted, he claims his name is Rick Smith and that he works for Turner Construction. He claims some very suspicious things, like he cannot speak because of poor reception and can only text. He wants special arrangements to purchase my item. I am very skeptical, so I am researching this number...
