They call, I answer, they slam the receiver down. Ninety-nine percent of what the federal government does either does not benefit me, or is to my detriment. If our government wants my support, they can do something about the things that negatively impacts me on a day to day, ongoing basis. Trillions of our TAX dollars go to fund unaccountable shadow agencies, that are ostensibly "protecting us" but in fact are spying on every US citizen. The NSA is a good example. As long as they are (illegally) intercepting all of our communications, the Federal Government could at least do us the favor of re-tasking some of their excess paramilitary forces funded by us, like the DEA, to "KICK DOWN THE F--KING DOORS" of the inconsiderate E-mail spammers, law breaking call centers, scam artists, phishing operations, and identity stealing criminals. Don't kid yourself, THEY KNOW WHO IS DOING WHAT, in the communications area, and could stop it if we made it the priority issue that decided who was elected, and who was not. Sure it would reveal(to an extent) just how pervasive communication surveillance is, but if you are paying any attention at all, to the information released by whistle blowers, then you are not going to be a bit surprised, and can even support it since it is finally eliminating some of modern life's biggest annoyances. I actually lost my last job, because my boss had a hard time communicating with me at a distance. His E-mails were buried in a deluge of spam, and I had gotten into the habit of not answering my cell phone because of all the trash calls I was getting. Not asking anyone to feel sorry for me, I am asking you to demand some real value from all the money you pay in taxes, and a little compensation for the privacy the government has taken from you. That is not too much to ask.
