I keep getting calls from a 646 number a man saying he's officer Lawson and I better pay or go to jail now they are calling and the caller I'd says 911

I received a call and it was out of area.  I too could not understand them.  I was able to ask for their phone number and was given 646-783-4929 and was told it was ACS and that I took out a loan for 500 and owe 1500 and will be sued on monday if I dont pay.  I asked for the orginal creditors phone number and was given 805-464-3178.  I called there and a man with the same accent answered Advance cash USA.  I asked for a supervisor and he told me he was.  I explained the issue and that I did not take out a loan.  He then yelled at me that he would ruin my life and sue me.  He went on to say "You Americans think you never have to pay anything"  I told him that he was rude and breaking the law and that I was done and I hung up.  he called me back and continued on hi rant. I called the BBB, The attorney general and the FTC and filed a report as well as put a fraud alert on with all 3 credit bureaus.  WOW, what a bunch of crooks!

I received the same call.  Only this guy said his name was Shawn Williams.  He gave the call back number 646-783-4929 and the caller ID said 052928512.  That was a few weeks ago.  Now just a few minutes ago, I received another call.  It was very difficult to understand what he was saying.  There was a lot of background noise and he had a very thick accent.  This time the caller ID said 05279777 and the call back number was 813-995-6248.  I did understand him say something about a legal notice and he hadn't heard from me.  I think it was in reference to the previous call.

I got a call from the same company with the same old story, please do not give them any personal info...ie your account number, this company hack into loan company's website and act like they work for them and get their customers (our info) and harrass us..just ignore them

Got ANOTHER call today 1st on my cell, then at work. Caller ID on my cell 052928512. This week the "gentleman's" name is Kevin Cooper from ACS. Last week it was Peter Parker. Always the very thick Indian accent threatening arrest and dire consequences if I do not call them back immediately @ 646-783-4929. Wouldn't you think if a person ignores you for months you'd eventually move on???

The Indian accent is so think that I/we (recorded the call for co-workers to listen to) couldn't understand him.  It was quite lengthy too.  So funny.  Don't they know that if I was being sued that I would get a registered letter from the court?  I don't think his name is Steve Smith either!  Might call them back just to harrass them.

This company told me that if i didnt pay them, that by 6 PM the police would be at my home to arrest me that day. Its been 3 weeks and still no police. I went to that website and when it said pay $19.99 to get the information, i knew it was a scam.

OMG!  I got 05279777 on my phone too. But the caller ID on my phone AT WORK, if you can believe that, was 646-783-4929. He called my boss a stupid idiot and told him to put me on the phone.

Yeah, I've been getting like 25 calls a day from the same Indian guy and he's been getting vulgar with me when I hang up on him, saying stuff like he's my new daddy and he's going to "F" me and my mom and he's called me some names, he's been calling us at work, he's got all of our numbers and it's getting out of control

I just received a call last week a guy contacted me at my job stating that my social security number was in trouble. He said that his name was Ryan Cruz the number he gave me to call was 917-645-0008. He had a foreign accent and I could not understand him and I told him do not contact me at work again he got angry and he said that he did not care where I work at. So I receive 3 more calls today from a 052928512 with the foreign accent stating that I better call him at 646-578-8876 I call the number but he would not pick the phone up. I wonder how can we stop the scams.

§ 809. Validation of debts
(a) Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a

I got a call last night from this guy, He said he had claims against me and my social security number. He said he was going to block my SS# in the morning. and if I did not call him back in 15 minutes, he would send the document to the courthouse, and there would be FBI agents at my house and put me behind bars. I was very upset. He gave me the call back number of 646-783-4929 and said to call back in 15 minutes. It was busy for 3 hours. This is very disturbing and upsetting and something needs to be done.

I have recieved numerous calls from this same guy.  He will call for a few weeks under one name and then call with a different name and company.  I wish I could get him to stop calling my work and my cell.

i got on today and he told me all that stuff i told him i would get my lawyer and he can talk to him and he got mad and started yelling and hung up i called him back and said we lost connection and he started yelling  again i told him he needs a friend ill call hime everyday just to talk to him he hung up again

Got a call from a man that said his name was Harry Brown he had a very heavy accent and I could not understand all that he was saying, he left a message to call him back at 646-783-4929 and the caller ID on my cell phone was 052-928-512, could not understand what company he was working for something like legal something and said I had serious litagations against my SS#. I have not called the number back, but then he has called my place of employment and my supervisor could not understand him either and so he just left this same call back number. Like everyone else on this post I have no outstanding loans or debts. There has to be a way to stop them once and for all. I have turned them over to law enforcement but that has not stopped them.  I refuse to talk to them but it is very annoying.

I HAVE JUST RECENTLY BEEN RECEIVING CALLS FROM THESE PEOPLE ALSO.  MAINLY FROM A MAN CLAIMING TO BE KEVIN SMITH.  I WAS INVOLVED IN A PREVIOUS INTERNET SCAM FROM "CRIME CENTER IF AMERICA" AND ENDED UP HAVING TO LOG A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THAT STATE (CA).  IN THIS CASE, THE NUMBER THEY ARE CALLING FROM IS NY.  MY BEST SUGGESTION IS TO EMAIL THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF BRONX, NY AS WELL AS WITH THE FBI IC3 CRIMES DIVISION (CONCERNS INTERNET CRIME).  AFTER I RESPONDED TO THESE SCAM ARTISTS THAT I HAD REPORTED THEM TO BOTH, I NEVER RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL FROM THAT NUMBER.  LOOKS LIKE I WILL HAVE TO DO THE SAME THING AGAIN THIS TIME.  THE NUMBER THAT CALLED ME IS 646-578-8770.  IF YOU GOOGLE IT, IT SAYS IT'S A LOCKSMITH IN NY!!!!!!!!!!!!!  NOW, I DON'T KNOW MANY LAWYERS OR COURT SYSTEMS WHO WORK OUT OF A LOCKSMITH'S OFFICE, SO PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MORE INFORMATION THAN THEY ALREADY HAVE!!  THIS CASH.NET SHOULD ALSO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS AS THIS IS THE SAME COMPANY MENTIONED BY BOTH SCAM COMPANIES!

I got a strange message from a call that showed up on my caller ID as +052928512.  The man on the message had an Indian accent & claimed to be "James Lawson."  The number he told me to call back was 646-578-8876.  He said the same things everyone else here said.  When I called back (I was extremely suspicious, as I am familiar with how REAL debt collectors sound) and he was so persistant in me paying him IMMEDIATELY.  I told him I don't remember taking out a loan from this company, and asked him to e-mail me some paperwork to look at.  This a-hole says "I don't have time to waste on that.  I have a lot of work to do."  I said "this is your JOB.  Lemme speak to your supervisor NOW."  He just kept giving me 'tude and I hung up on him.  Looked up the information and called back and spoke to "Lee Johnson" again with a think Indian accent who was much more reasonable, but claimed to me from Ithica and NYC.  When I told him Ithica was upstate, he started tripping on his words.  I told him I need to see documentation before I send them ANYTHING.  Still waiting on that e-mail...reporting them to NYS Attorney General.  First guy told me I owed $800 or so, second guy said I owe $670.

I got a call from this # yesterday. The guy said his name was Michael Scott, and he worked for financial crimes investigation in pa. I dont answer my phone if i dont know a number so this was all left in a message and he had a very thick accent so I couldnt understand most of what he was saying. Just that there was some lawsuit against me and i had to call back "or else", yes he really said those words. i have no intention of calling back.

i got those's calls to today and i told them that they website is for sell and he said he was on it and it was working and he said that he is send me the lawsuit on friday how they got my infor i dont know . but can  keep me up to date sally please.

OMG!!! I almost had a heart attack today because one of these scammers called my job requesting  $500.00 dollars for a loan that I  supposedly owed from a year ago.  They really had me going...  This was the first call I received, and  hopefully the last.  I told him to not "ever" !!! call my job and he insisted that I pay the money today over the phone or that I would have to settle the case in court.  Of course to get him off my back I told him to take me to court. He hung up after trying to collect money from me over the phone and not getting anywhere. I did ask for the company name which he said it was Advance Cash USA and the phone number he gave me was completely different than the ones Ive have seen here, however; the phone number he gave me does not work.  (347)590-4535. I'll be contacting the FTC to file a complaint. I hope it's the last time I hear from them.
