Calling requesting pay pal information to buy a boat I posted on craigs list.

called me about a car im selling, sounded like he was Nigerian, said his name was mike, ha ha,

Guy mailed me a fake check from Expert Crating, Inc. in Houston Tx. that is as rubber as a super ball.  NO funds available for the check from the bank (citizens bank of Tx. ) it was written on.  Return address is for Master Machine in New York, Phone number he used : 503-482-2051.  Check was for far more than the item sold, probably trying to appeal to greedy people, but he says the extra is to pay for mover to come and get the item.  Why haven't these people been busted yet?  Watch out for any attempt funds transfer from you to 'mover' through western union or pay pal, that is where they get you and then the check bounces and they can't be found.  Probably if these people would apply their obvious creativity and work ethic to legitimate ways of making money they would be able to do a lot better and not have the FBI hunting their felon butts down for wire fraud, etc!  

I posted an add for a motorcycle on craigslist and within an hour I started getting multiple texes from 646-801-4710 and wanted to pay by Paypal. I told him that it was cash only and I would not have a clear Title till the middle of next month and he never addressed the issue of the Title which raised a red flag. Also I told him to call me and we would talk about the Motorcycle but he never did and replied that he was very busy.
Excuse me business can be conducted faster through a phone conversation rather than Morse Code (Texing)

This guy is now using 860-556-3027.

Just don't even bother returning his correspondence. Wanted to buy my bed sight unseen but wanted me to give him my address first. He knew I was in Seattle but texted me at 5am PST anyway. Refused to answer phone calls. Can't spell or form proper sentences. Uses Google as his voicemail--who does that? Reinforces the adage that if criminals weren't dumb, they wouldn't be criminals.

This guy actually tried to make me believe he was going to have my Camper "shipped" to Texas.  Thank you all for posting so I didn't buy into this.  Like someone else posted.  He uses a 5127654899 in these scheme. When asked to have a phone conversation, he never acknowledges that, and he continues to text about wanting Paypal address so he can arrange "shipping".  Now common on, shipping a camper one state over. LOL

This guy has been trying to buy a trike I have on classified ads for a couple of months. Won't call, only text. Insists I get a Paypal acct.  I've blocked him before as he  has text me from other phone numbers too. Same person, same broken English in the text. It's a shame someone like this cant be tracked down and prosecuted!!

This creep is all about Paypal. Says he wants to pay for a car in full right now and hasnt even seen the car yet. He didn't ask a sinfle question about the car before he's  asking for my Paypal account. Googled him and what do you know, I found this website and saved myself a wasted afternoon. Please dont give this guy any information, he's phishing people on craigslist.

The same thing is happening to us as we speak and he does however keep replying. We have a motorcycle for sale in Illinois, saying he's not a scam , but his he stated his name mike Davies. i had to do research and Omg, he's not going to last long once he comes across the wrong person.. thanks to all for posting, it def helps

We posted a boat on Craigslist and got a text from this mike Davies. Same scenarios, PayPal it went through etc only this morning to have him telling us he would send additional money for shipping through Quick Cargo delivery! I've been wondering about this all night! Huge loser!!!

I also received a text message for cycle under number of 503-482-2051-This time he went under the name of Frank and was going to pay by certified check via Fed Ex-UPS-Post office and his mover will pick it up--My question is where is this guy getting all his tel. numbers from-He sure likes to move around--Told him I need money up front before I do anything-Never heard from him again-

Right now this Mike Davies is trying to buy my cycle--I just received notification from the cargo co. to verify my address--Could not bring up the link-Right now he says he is in Florida and needs this cycle for his brother.I told him this was a scam a few days ago and he really got mad-Keeps texting me-Happy to see your emails on here-now I know it is a scam-The number he is using now is 860-556-3027--I will keep my  texts on phone in case you need more help in putting this guy in his place-tx again

Same Mike with Quick cargo shipper. He's good. I set up a papal account and gave him my address b4 he told me he needed help with paying shipper. Spelling was atrocious. Who can we turn him into? I could have lost almost $12,000. Glad I checked out shipping company that led me to this site. Mike Davies you pissed off the wrong person, i will find you!

Just sent me a text, ask about a camper I had for sale.  Wants to buy it via Pay Pal.  I told him it had to be cash and I haven't heard back from him.  I found this site and found his number on it......What a scammer........Beware>>>>>>>

I am really greatful foor the post on this web site.  This guy, Mike from NY was going to buy my VW, with no pictures and not talking to me.  He insisted on me getting a pay pal account. Jack a**. I follow my instincts. But I wonder how many people. fall for him.

Tried to get my pp info to get a guitar/amp, but wouldn't send back his zip code so I could get him a shipping estimate.

got a text about a truck we listed on craiglist and was persisitan on getting mypay pal info.  want to purchase truckwith out seeing or talking to me in person.

Funny, he (Mike) has been messaging me this afternoon . I do however work for a Law firm (30 Atty's) told him to send his info so I could have one of our atty's look to make sure all this was legit...NO REPLY!!

Well as of today Mike in NY has resurfaced wanted car rims I've posted same motive as above wanting all this info wanting me to get a paypall account etc. etc....I just this now he needs to come up with better game

Person that called their self Mike contacted me about a bow off craigslist and went thur 10 text msgs wanting my paypal account. I googled the phone # and found it was part of a scam so I texted him back that I was going to report him and not to contact me again.
