they called asked for manager they said he would kill me. I want to contact magicjack to find out who this is. I have not found a means of contacting them unless I am a customer. there should be terms of misuse where magicjack could cancel the policy due to harassment or perhaps we sue magicjack.

It seems to me we Americans have forgotten who we are . We need to start showing these dot heads just who they are ******* with. These people harassed my 76 year old mother with over 50 calls a day from a lot of different phone# . She tried FBI , gbi , ocp ,state att. Office with no help. So I answered call & told dothead that one more call from them that any person from India I see i'am going to beat their *** . So my solution to this problem is any Indian male you see beat the **** out of them & tell them to call 646 807 1505 & tell them to tell person they got *** beat because of them .lets quit playing nice& grow some balls start showing these ******** who we are
The caller was identified as a Scammers with Indian ascent

This happened 2 years ago. My sister took out a payday loan and well she didn't repay it. But here is what happened. They called her saying that she owes $1400.00 for late penalties and all. They told her she will be arrested for fraud if she doesn't pay this immediately so she asked for their information and all they told her was she needed a credit card or she will be arrested for fraud. She freaked out, now she goes to my parents and tells them about it.  Not only did they call her but they called my parents. Now she knows for a fact she did t put down my name or my parents for references. These "scammers" had my information and my moms information even knowing what type of car she just bought. My mom calls me later that day to tell me about it. Now I worked as a credit analyst doing credit investigations so am familiar with collection laws.  The information my mom told me about was disturbing because they violated so many of the federal laws. I ended up calling my mom at close to midnight telling her to get on the phone with her cc and immediately report it as fraud. She managed to get her money back however these a***oles kept calling her and when that didnt work they started calling saying they were with Microsoft and their was an infected trojan horse on her computer and they needed to take control of her computer to remove it. First of all I was down there visiting them and any computer that is owned in my family I am the one working on them, they called over 13 times a day. I finally picked up the phone and said the following. YOU HAVE REACHED THE DEPARTMENT OF FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATIONS COMPUTER FRAUD LINE YOU ARE BEING TRANSFERRED TO THE NEXT AGENT TO FILE YOUR FRAUD REPORT.  They called two more times after that and each time I said the same thing over and over. They stopped calling immediately and haven't called back.

I feel bad to those who do not know about this type of information. Red flags is a collection agency is FORBIDDEN to release any private information to anyone who is third party. It doesn't matter if you are their Mom or Dad, they are suppose to inform you who they are, who they are looking for and that its about personal business thats it. If they start going into further information and release everything they are scammers since they apparently do not know the Federal Rules when it comes to collections. Reports were filed thru the FBI and all credit agencies were contacted to remove your information to third parties and alerts put on the accounts. Best bet if it sounds to good to be true than it probably is. Protect yourself. If it sounds fishy try to get all the information you can get out of them, most likely they will give you the run around. To help stop these scammers is to report them to the FBI, and all information you can get is helpful, they cannot prosecute or even arrest these idiots if they cannot find them. Pay attention to every detail you can!!

I got a message from these guys once with a DC cell phone area code and said in a bad accent (could hardly speak English), that they were with the DEA and if I did not call them back now! that I would be in big trouble.  I do not think the DEA would call from a cell phone and I bet they can find someone in their office to leave these messages who could speak English. I made the mistake many years ago (8 or 9) from ordering from an online pharamacy.

THERE MAY BE A HELPFUL ANSWER FOR YOU ALL IN THIS POST!!! SKIP MY THOUGHTS AND GO TO PARAGRAPH 3 FOR THE CLOSEST THING TO A CURE!

I can relate to every bit of frustration these calls create. I've gone as far as to tell these people I have a horrible drug addiction, lost my children to DCF and am using all the little strength I have to stay clean, begging them to please find it in their hearts to make a note and help save a few lives..

Frankly it's all completely untrue. However, and I'm no actor yet passionate about putting an end to YEARS of harassment, there is no end to the lengths they will go to make a sale or rip one off.. whatever the case. My # has been my business phone for 12 years so changing it just isn't an option or luxury I've utilized.

BUT THERE IS HOPE AFTER ALL!! (be it imperfect, it's still incredibly useful)
**For those of you with he luxury of a smartphone and the ability to download apps, I've found one called "NUMBERGURU Top Spammer". Basically the maker, or some other great human, has compiled a VERY LARGE amount of numbers that have been reported as spam. When you get a call from any number in their database (likely includes thousands of #'s) your caller ID pops up as "SPAM GURU" with an image of a Genie aka Our Guru, so you know the caller is not looking to bring you a brighter day :) In the event the Guru is mistaken, it's highly likely you'll have a voice mail for reference.

It's F***KING incredible how many numbers are listed within the call history. With my iphone I just go to recent calls, hit the over arrow and SHAZAAAM!!!! a list of probably 4 or 500 #'s all of which were spammers ACCEPT ONE- but it was AT&T, which is my provider, however it was a salesman trying to sell me more services and I have their number so I will call them if I need something :)

The app gives you the ability to add new spam #'s in the unlikely event Spam Guru doesn't have it noted yet. It also allows the option to remove any number you would like to disassociate with spam. I can't remember if its free or if its a couple $'s. I promise you, if it does cost, it's so worth it it's ridiculous.

Hope this is helpful! Spread the word!!! If this app is just for iPhones I am sure there is one for Androids, etc. Good Luck!! SAVE YOUR CELL MINUTES AND SAVE YOUR SANITY!!!

Scum Bags!
They call us 1-5 times a month want to refill our prescriptions. Nothing stops them. Piss them off and they laugh and say he'll tell all his co-workers to call us and the calls increase. This started in 2009.

Inadvertently (I think) left a message of a couple of minutes - people speaking in spanish in the background.  My guess it they are drug scammers - not because of the language, but because I have had calls like this before.

This number is from SCUMBAGS who run scams. They offer to sell narcotics over the phone, They then steal your money, They then steal your identity, They then pretend to be some kind of international police dept that wants to prosecute you for attempting to buy drugs over the phone, They then pretend to be attorneys who can help you get out of the trouble that you're now in, and the scams go on and on and on.

I have reported them to the FTC, DEA and local police dept in New York, where they seem to be calling from. THERE IS NO HELP AVAILABLE FROM GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. They have bigger fish to fry I guess. That means that these scumbag, gypsy thieves can continue to scam people with impunity.

If you ask them to stop calling it doesn't matter. No matter what you do they will call. Your best bet is to throw them an insult then hang up and save the number under "scumbag" so when they call back you can see it's them again running the scam of the day. You can also set a different ringtone for them so you can tell, just by the ring, to ignore the call.

I hope this helps.

Thats a damn good idea! I couldn't find a way to "block" these numbers, but I store them under the contact name of "scumbags" then I assign a specific ringtone to them, a light whistle that just tells me to ignore the call. I was unable, on my phone, to find out how to assign "silent" ringtone to them but that's good enough. Great idea!!

BTW, These a** wipes are indeed SCUMBAGS! They are AT BEST selling drugs illegally from third world countries (something you dont want to be associated with) or at worst they are just ripping people off, sending an empty box "COD" or STEALING YOUR IDENTITY! With your name and address they can begin to build a false identity using YOUR information then they become parasites and commit fraud and use your name for illegal purposes AFTER they've already ripped you off!!

NEVER buy ANYTHING on the phone unless YOU YOURSELF initiated the call and know who you're doing business with. Then you can also "opt out" from legit businesses sharing your information with third parties, which all businesses do, even your own bank, unless you 'opt out'.

How much extra would people pay to have a mobile phone that only accepted calls from approved numbers? When you give someone your mobile number you entered it into your phone. You could "cloud" with designated persons like family, work-related, etc. so if any of their approved people could call you.

I did that once, just to see what the scam was exactly. They want you to send money to some overseas bank and get a referral (or something) number and call them back and they'll send it out...yeah right, lol.

A warning too...some of them will act like they're the police/feds and tell you you're in a lot of legal trouble, but if you send them some money to cover the fines (or something) it'll be dropped. They almost scammed my poor grandmother like that, but my sis called the local police. They came by to take a report and the scammers happened to call back while he was there, so he got on the line and once he identified himself...*Click* they hung up.

Since i am so sick of getting these calls and have reported them to the attorney general, I do what they do to me. I call the number back every 10 seconds, wait and hang up. With 2 phones going and unlimited minutes, if anything it makes me feel better and gets them pissed for doing what they do everyday to people.
