I did not get a call but an e-mail.  The numbers may be different but the e-mail is the same.  Look up Kirit Patel, Indian American businessman.  He opened call centers and Indian and scammed Americans out of almost $6 million in 2 years.  He was arrested but I do not know the latest.  I believe he was arrested in May 2012.  You can always tell it is a scam, even in writing you can tell it is not an American.  Notice at end of email, UNITED STATES OF ATTORNEY.  Some e-mails say Grab your debit card and call us.

I have filed police reports against them, contact the FBI, attorney general, etc. and these people still harass me and my family EVERY day. It is so awful that no one will do anything to stop them!

I've receive similar calls saying its an issue that has your social security number attached and it's a very important matter.

I finally get the guy on the phone and he read me a case number - which wasn't the format used in our state.

Then he said I needed to have my attorney who will be representing me call him to get the information about the account and the charges being made.

I quite bluntly:  Sir, I am an American citizen and I choose to represent my self - tell me everything and he just hung up.

I've receive about 6 of these calls over the last 6 months.  I suggest calling them back and harrassing them for information about the case and ask where they are calling from, what authority are they operating under (criminal/civil, state/federal, etc.) and ask which courthouse the charges were filed so you can go pay to obtain a copy for yourself.  Tweeking this guy will get him to stop calling.

Called my workplace asking for me, has an extremely hard-to-understand indian accent, told me that I have a legal matter that needs to be taken care of before it causes a mess for my family and I and that the police will be coming to my workplace to arrest me tomorrow if I don't take care of this. I asked for information on what this was about and he repeated the same statement, I told him to never call my work or home number again and he hung up on me. Definite scammer/fraudster.

This man has called several times for various employees of mine (I am a staffer), heavy accent, cannot understand him and he always gets mad when I inform him if it is indeed a legal matter (he says the person is being sued and about to be arrested) he needs to call them at home. He just called for me.. saying it is a legal matter. I owe no one. I have no loans nor any outstanding credit issues.. How pathetic. Refuses to say what company he is calling from. Simply,, you are being sued!!!

I received the same calls from the ever so hard to understand, obviously indian Kevin Kinglsey. He indicated that my "relative" commited a very serious online fraud and that if I didn't help him that I was going to be indicted and arrested as well. Would not give me any information as to where this occured, what exactly happened or how I am indirectly involved....but did state that I can have my attorney call them for more info. So I pretended to be my own attorney and called back and he hung up on me. Total scam.

Received the same call - from a very unfriendly man - he then proceeded to call my daughter using the same threatening manner - If this is a legitimate company they should send out hard copy in the form of a collection letter (that is what an attorney friend of mine said) - He also said that a collection company will buy payday loans for pennies on the dollar and then anything they collect is a profit to them  - so I refuse to answer the phone calls - as I am using a consolidation debt company and if they want payment they will have to contact them or send me a collection letter

all the same things saying they represent cash advance usa. that they will send you to jail, sue, and prosecute you if you dont pay and it was $400 dollars they said i owe them all scams trust me

Called three times; first time Anthony Casper threatened of law suit  and hung up, second time Danny johnson  told me that they would settle for less than the first amount and he said he'd wait until Jan, third time I asked questions they said they were federal legislative dept. from florida and this is  a new york number

left threating message for me to return call as legal matter would result in jail time.  I haven't had a payday loan.  I could barely understand the indian accent.  oh please,

This guy is using a different \phone number but saying all the same things.  Calling me non stop at work. It is troubling because I have used payday loans but paid them back and DO NOT OWE this fake company. He has info on me which is really upsetting...we have got to get this company to stop...this harrassment is terribl.e

They have been calling my bf, they call several times in a row a day.  They call his church pastor and harass him for information about my bf and they do the same to his brother ect.  They claim he owes money from a payday loan, but when we ask for the information they have all they say is "we have your phone number and ss number"  that's not the information we were talking about!  The guy on the phone claims this debt has to be paid back, or they are going to take my bf to court for a lot more money than this so called debt is for.   They cursed my bf out over the phone calling him a b*****d and making threats and they hang up on him.  They won't put a supervisor on the phone and deny that they call several times a day and that they are harassing him or his friends and family.  They can't even say what company the loan was from that they are talking about.  The guy on the phone talks very fast in a thick indian accent and there is a lot of background noise.  We just want the calls to stop!! Also we're a very unsettled knowing they obtained his ss# and phone numbers of friends and family.

Got a call from a man who identified himself as Kevin Kingsley, VERY difficult to understand.  His voicemail message stated my friend commited a serious internet fraud and I was involved because she used me as a reference. He insisted I would be in trouble if the case proceeded and to call him.  My friend called him back, asked for basic information they refused to give and said she was calling the police.  The man (Kevin's "manager") said they would never call her or her references again.  She has never received a payday loan and has no idea how they got either of our names or numbers.

Also, the number that came up on caller id was 734-847-8658 and when you call it back, it says the number is no longer in service.

I just got a call at work on Monday from 646-810-8666. Said her name was Andy. That I did this on the internet asked her to send me information in the mail on what she is claiming I owe she said she will if I pay. lol how stupid do they think people are, Just not sure how that got any information on me and my work number. I will be reporting them and as the gentleman above I am going to give them a fake c/c number.... How can people get away with this?? said they company was ACS

Keeps calling - I informed them they are a fraud and the man proceeded to tell me that I didn't know how to spell fraud.  This is the 6th call in 2 days.

States calling from ACS Legal Services and that i need to settle a payday loan that was forwarded to them for legal and if i wanted to pay now. I asked for information regarding loan stated I have no right to anything in black and white. I asked for their address he ask what for I told so i could send him some legal information all he gave was this number (646) 810-8666 nothing else. They called me here at work

Got a call for week for the 646-810-8666 phone #..I finally answered and it was a person stating that they were calling from a "legal company" to collect funds on an action taken against me..he asked if I was aware of this..when I advised no he gave the phone to who was his "supervisor" named Danny Johnson..I could hardly understand him and there was loud background noise..he said there was a payday loan taken out from "Advanced Loan" or something of that nature in Aug 09 and they were going to file a lawsuit if I didnt pay back the $300+..I asked alot of questions and he could answer none..I asked for the clients phone and he couldnt give me that info..the only thing he kept saying was he needed to know if I wanted to pay this amt or not..and if I didnt they were going to sue me..so I told him to send me the paperwork and I would look at it..he said I needed to provide my bank or credit info and he would send me the papers..I stalled him bc of course I wanted to see if valid so when I returned home from work, I looked @ my bank statements and emails and there was no loan that I had taken out during that month last year..I then came to the net and put in the phone # and pulled up this info..glad I did that..DONT GIVE ANY OF YOUR INFO..he had my name and email address..as well as the bank acct # (for an acct thats closed(thank God)!!!!
