I have been getting called about three times a week from the people for a couple of months now. The funny thing is, it is always the exact same man with the same distinct middle-eastern accent, yet he always claims to have a different name (this morning he was Tom Jones, and two days ago he was Scott Parker). He also is always claiming to be with a different company or affiliation. For example, he was with an attorney's office last week, and this week he is with "NYPD" (I kid you not).

People, let me assure you: the best way to deal with these folks is to laugh in their face. It makes them so angry and it greatly entertains me. In fact, this morning when they called, I just started talking in Spanish and saying "Que?" a lot (they didn't like that), and this afternoon I claimed that the person they were looking for (me), tragically died the night before in a freak umbrella accident.

You can't take these folks seriously.

How do I stop them from leaving harassing calls?

These idiots started calling me on march 3rd and it has kept up since, the funny thing is they only call my work number. He is a male with a very heavy indian accent he said he name was Aaron Crawford you cant get much more american that that. The numbers that he calls on are 646-820-4257 646-313-3799 and 284-642-7056 the latter one not being able to call it back. I work for 9-1-1 POLICE/FIRE/EMS he has been told every time to stop calling. I think if he knew where he was actually calling they would stop. I really couldn't understand the name of the "company" he represents but i played along with his game for a day or two and he e-mailed me a payment plan form which says ACS/24X7 Collection. I just wish these people would stop already.

They called me today about 5 times, I didn't answer but they left a voicemail saying that they were filing a lawsuit against me. The caller said his name was Andy Fernandez, a hispanic name but with an extremely  thick indian accent. He also mentioned he was frm some government institution and that it was to my best interest to call back. He said my social security number twice during the message. Is that even legal? I did have a payday loan, but I paid it back. Does anybody know if I can do something about it?

I got a call this morning from this person, too, 646-820-4257.  It sounds to me like he is talking on a cell phone as there was alot of cutting in and out like somebody talking on a cell phone.  I did have a legitimate loan at one time with CashNetUSA and they are a legitmate payday loan company, but my loan has been paid in full with them for a few years now.  The person's name that called me and left me a message was Christian and he from what I could understand, he said he was from INVESTIGATION & LAW PRO CIVICS department.  I could be wrong as this part was cutting in and out and I also heard alot of background noise while he was leaving his message, like they were in a large room with many of these perps involved in this scam.  Bottom line, insist in getting what they are telling you what you owe in writing.  If they refuse, they are a scam.  Most legit companies will send you documentation in writing if you truly do owe them money.

Me too!  Called on my Government phone  - I now have my Union President dealing with them.  Also, one of the representatives when questioned by U P he was an officer of the court, when asked what agency he said FBI - my rep called and reported this to the FBI.  The rep there said they have a special unit for these types of calls.

They told me I had a loan and being sued.  I supposedly missed one payment and now have to pay $500.00 on a $450.00 loan.  Usually the lender will call and work with you!  i hope the FBI gets them all!

Max from t646-820+4257 said that i had applied for a loan with Cash USA and had not paid it back. Never got a loan from them and they are filing a suit.  Max said he will call the company back and speak with them and then call me back. He hung up. I have a bank statement showing no loans from this company.  Def a scam. Be careful. Waiting on them to call me back. Otherwise I will call this SOB back.  Oh and why does it sound like a telemarketing company in the background if it's the dept of justice.

got same call from same number ( 646-820-4257 ) this one "Officer Lisa Williams" saying i had a lawsuit and my social security number was under investagation, i call back but get answer machine saying the person im trying to reach is not avalable..

Same game, new number.  This one, Micheal Anderson, said, on voice mail, my social security number is under investigation and to call before it goes to the courthouse but either me or my attorney call.

Keeps calling  me- Says they are with CashNet USA.  I own money and he is filing lawsuit against me.  Won't say the company but answer the phone as "Officer Mark Johnson"

Caller said the I had a lawsuit against me for not repaying a payday loan I told him where he can stick it since I never had a payday loan

caller said he was a police officer n he had charges against me n wanted money. this typ of scam needs to end.  never been to NY.

they just called me -these friggin'scammers! left a msg on my govt phone-that was their first mistake. we can track them and i called back and gave them a piece of my mind. as....holes!

Caller leaves threatening message about law suit, but I believe this to be a phishing scam.
