They somehow got my minor child's cell phone number and harassed her with calls until I called and threatened them with a police report, FBI, and a cease-and-desist letter from an attorney. Several of these health care scams started calling her two days ago to the tune of 20 calls a day. I have been calling every number to demand they stop calling her and I am aggressive - not nice at all. They call me rude but hello? calling someone, child or adult, 20 times a day is not rude and inconsiderate? They also claimed my kid got online and filled out an application for health insurance. That is the biggest load of bull I have ever heard! It would be a joke but I'm not laughing because it's my child. One outfit told me that NetQuote sold my kid's number to them. Huh? NetQuote? What the heck is NetQuote? Beware of them and any of these people who call and harass you to death - they are scams - never give them ANY information about anything. If you need insurance, go to a reputable company and talk to a real person. Get references from people. Any company that would call a person's phone 10 times in a short period is up to no good. That is not legit.

Called me several times a day for the last week, leaving messages about my health insurance application. I never filed any application.

I requested a quote & within 1 minute my phone was ringing. I asked for an online quote & not to be contacted by phone. I now get a call every 3 minutes this is bulls**t...............

Ok so you request a quote for insurance, you get a call from someone wanting to give you a quote for insurance, and you come to this site to complain that someone followed up with your request? What if nobody followed up with you? Would the site then be a scam to collect your personal information and then never use it?
Everyone on here that is complaining about being contacted should please stop requesting information. Save yourself the aggravation and save others time and money. We in the industry come to these sites for entertainment and share laughs at the ignorance of your gripes.

This is SOOO annoying. I Googled "health insurance" and I guess I clicked on a sponsored link for eHealthInsurance.com and signed up. Wow, what a mistake. These people called me 4-5 times a day, beginning at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday. When I called eHealth Insurance's customer service number to complain and ask that they take me off their list, she said, "We can take you off our list but we didn't give out your information--you must have Googled health insurance and when you clicked on the link, *that* company gave out your information to brokers."
This was a huge mistake. Sprint doesn't allow me to block numbers, and so short of changing my number, I don't know what I'm going to do. I've answered some of the calls and said, "You guys REALLY need to stop calling me." But the calls still come.
The lady at eHealth Insurance couldn't even give me a number to call for "the other company" who gave out my information. I can't believe a company that has bad business practices like this is publicly traded. I will tell everyone I know not to sign up via eHealth Insurance.

They are harassing my minor child on her cell phone with several calls a day that she doesn't answer. She came to me afraid because she was getting unknown calls and not only from this number. When I called them to demand they stop harassing a child by calling her cell phone day and night they were rude and snotty and said she shouldn't have filled out an online form!!! SHE DID NOT FILL OUT ANY FORM. Either someone put in a random number that happened to be hers or these scum got her number by other means. One insurance outfit told me they bought the number from NetQuote. I have never heard of them and believe me, my child did not go online to get a health insurance quote. She has never in all the years she has had her cell received calls like this from anyone. Family and friends only - until two days ago that then she starts getting 20 calls a day from these health insurance people out of nowhere.
I agree with Cat - please DO NOT make up "fake" numbers when you fill out online forms. That is probably why my child is receiving calls from these vultures. Would you want your little son or daughter harassed by these people? Their safety and identity compromised? Put 555- whatever # if you don't want calls. Oh, and one company implied they knew the address of the person who submitted my daughter's number and when they said, are you at _________ ? I had never heard of that address.
| Wren 2010-04-07 00:18:09 Unknown |
my minor child did not fill out anything online nor did she give her number to anyone ever and she still received a call from this number

Made the mistake also to try and get insurance quotes. Man this is a pain. Have had 5 calls in the last hours! I called back and asked them to put me on the do not call list. Let's see how that works. Which I had read about them sooner, but thank God I didn't give them any information other than a ip number and a 'piece' of my address. But with what I'm seeing now, I probably shouldn't have given them anything!!

I made the same mistake trying to get some quotes from different insurance companies. Got the same annoying calls from 646-8331291, 708-8434048, 516-918-5700, 631-465-8100 and 954-6714920. I got around 10 calls in 5 hours. I even called them back and told them that I wasn't interested about the services anymore. And the guy replied to me that "he was going to receive a bonus if he sells this call". They are so rude, they just scream on the phone. After I ask them to please remove my name from the list, he had that rude answer and I had to finish the call. And they even called back after one hour. This is just ridiculous. I wish they wouldb't call back anymore. They just ruin my whole day.

Just got my first call from this number. Glad I found this site. I'll probably have some fun with these guys if they call me back.

Well, it appears as if these people are going to be in for a surprise if they keep calling me. I have a few choice words that I will not mind using. I believe that they will get the message when I get thru with them. I got a call from that 646-833-1291 but accidently hug up on whoever. Glad I did. I immedietely looked up the number on line and saw these posts. Was I mad at myself. Really digusted at all of the crap that we have to go thru to get decent information.

Got this call, but did not answer. Glad I looked it up. Didn't want to go through all this trouble.

Hi, did anything ever happen with this? I am reading all these reviews and am a little worried as I enrolled today. I called to cancel and was told that was fine, given a verification code, but am still concerned...

I have been having the same problem from this number, an 800 number and a 315 number all people calling me claiming I went to their website asking about health insurance...which I don't remember doing. I asked them to take me off the call list!! That didn't work. I went to ftc.gov and filed a complaint (because I am already on the national do not call list). The more people that do this, hopefully will prevent this from happening. On the FTC website under Quick Finder on home page, click Do Not Call Registry. Then on the right, click File a Complaint!
