Total scam.

08/05/2010

DENVER ? Colorado Attorney General John Suthers announced today that an Arapahoe County District Court judge has ordered Tyrone E. Tymkovich (DOB: 12/30/1967) of Aurora to pay $160,000 after he violated a Feb. 18, 2010 order barring him from soliciting businesses as a broker.

According to the contempt judgment, Tymkovich admitted to continuing to solicit businesses using the alias ?Adam Smith? for a New Jersey based company, HDI Consultants.  The contempt judgment permanently bars Tymkovich from continuing any solicitation or sales of his broker services. Tymkovich also admitted to failing to make proper disclosures while acting as a business broker, including that ?the likelihood of (Tymkovich) selling a business is less than one out of a hundred based on past performance? and ?that [Tymkovich?s] company has generated more than $2.8 million in revenue from monies collected for valuations, yet it has earned less than $100,000 from actual sales of businesses.?

The Office of the Attorney General filed a lawsuit against Tymkovich, and Sam Levine (DOB: 2/1/1967) of Castle Rock on suspicion that they, through their two Englewood-based businesses, defrauded more than 700 businesses in Colorado and other states between July 2006 and September 2009. According to the complaint, Tymkovich, Levine or their employees at Englewood-based Corporate Acquisitions Group and Englewood-based Global Acquisitions Group would approach small businesses and inform them that either buyers were interested in acquiring their firms or their businesses could be sold. Tymkovich, Levine and their employees are accused of convincing more than 700 businesses in Colorado and other states to allow them to conduct an appraisal of their business for $5,000. Of the $5,000 Tymkovich and Levine?s businesses collected from their clients, only about $1,000 of the fee was actually devoted to completing the appraisals.

Tymkovich and Levine also are alleged to given the clients a money-back guarantee in the event of no sale occurring. However, Tymkovich and Levine only followed through when a business complained to either the Better Business Bureau or the authorities, according to the complaint.

contacted the bbb out there to check on the bridewater/bridgeport thing. she seemed totally bored with my calling and read over the phone what was on the web site.

they sent an email late last night (after I asked about the inconsistencies) saying I was just too small of a business for them.

I agree with the others, if this is not a scam, it does not sound totally legit. Shabby web site, incorrect addresses, fly-by-night location, and strange phone techniques.

There is nothing for me to file a complaint about, just a lot of small inconsistancies, so their A+ rating is intact.

Just checking back in. I've talked to a David Rosenthal with HDI whose phone ID says David Silverman. That name appeared on the internet as having been removed from a business broker account.

When I asked why the difference, he said David Silverman USED to own HDI, but J Davis owned it now. I think I'll call tomorrow and ask.

The addy they give (1200 Rt 22 E in NJ) is a "rent an office"/"rent a cubicle" bldg owned by HQ.com. And the download form on bizbuy123.com (with bizbuy at the top) says they are in Bridgewater NJ 08807, the forms they emailed me (HDI at the top) says they are in Bridgeport, NJ 08807.

Maybe just a scam to get you to buy a Fair Market Analysis from them for $3500 ?? (plus a 10% commission when the business sells)

Got a call at 9:09 pm. When I answered there was a recorded message apologizing for calling the wrong number and that I could call 877-281-6343 and put in pin number 1662 to be removed from the list. Seems like a way to harvest numbers and get around the latest do not call restrictions.

now I'm confused. Check w/BBB site http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/business-review ... ter-nj-29005452

They appear legit. A+ rating. No complaints in last 26 months. In business since 1994. etc etc etc.

My biz isn't even in BBB and I know I'm real.

Won't believe this still until the money is in my hands.

I got a call like this a few weeks ago. Called back and left a message (twice). Got a follow-up phone call with additional info. Following day I got another follow-up (probably from the second message)

Since I wouldn't mind selling, they set up a follow-up appt. Should happen next week to establish a selling price. I'll have a better idea then. Unless I call the BBB and see whats up.

Received a call from 646-873-6851 (verified later)-- when I said hello a recording immediately stated "we are sorry to have called your number in error please call this number (I didn't make a note of the number) and enter a PIN to be removed from our list".  Interestingly enough our second line rang simultaneously with the first.  Same recording.  Did not comply.  Something  very very suspicious here!

I accidentally answered the call without looking at the caller ID - heard a "click" - so they just hung up when I answered.  Truly annoying because I was anticipating an important phone call. Went back and checked the caller ID and it showed "New York" - what happened to "do not call"???

Received call from Jim Kilroy from HDI or something like that while I was out of office and wanted to know if I was interested in selling business.  Called back and was unable to leave a message.  I have had same phone number for several years and 9 months ago rolled that number to Charter Communications as part of their Bundle with cable and internet.  Any correlation with others?  Something fishy here.
