Thanks for all the info.  We were trying to sell some furniture on Craigslist.  Sgt Mark Juan responded with the paypal spiel some posters have mentioned  from 323-985-5713.  I googled him and took me to this page.    We are ignoring him from now on.

I was texted by Sgt mark Juan. 3239855713. Wanted to setup transportation for my Craig's list item. He did not like the fact that I wanted cash only.

Got a text from a different number, but it was Sgt. Mark Juan. The number he used was 240-466-4741. That's a MD number and he said he was from MD, but would send his agent to pick up the forklift we had posted on Craig's List. He wanted our PayPal email, but thank goodness we had the instinct that it was a scam.

This is the number that Mark Juan texted me with: 323-985-5713, Sgt Mark Juan just tried the same thing with me about a Craigslist item. We went through a fraud situation with another individual. I did the same thing, googled Mark Juan and it brought me to this wonderful site, good looking out everyone.

Just received text messages from Sgt Mark Juan...Too funny. Now the scammer is trying to do business with another number. Here it is for all to see (323)985-5713....He (the so called Sgt Juan) is trying to do business with pay-pal.

Just got a series of texts about Craigs List posting.  Sounded fishy from the start so I Googled and found this site.  Thanks to everyone that has posted.

I received the same message from mark Juan, trying ship my car from Hawaii and doesn't care about the price. He want all my information to send to his transport company. The number isn't a cell number, but yet he sends only text!

I received a scam call from this number wanting condition of item, zip code, bank account number so they could buy my motorcycle that I had listed on the Nashville Craigslist site for $10,000.

This idiot just texted me about a boat I have on craigslist. What does he get out of texting people?

Got multiple texts from this number total felt like a scam, stay clear of this person.

I have my car in arizona craiglist and he is trying to get me to do a paypal for it, he sounds fishy to me so i said no. He sent me text messages only

This number (646) 926-1431 answered a call about a pickup box we had on Craigs list. When we attempted to obtain specific information the individual kept dancing around the subject and would never answer any questions.  Please be advised we are deeming it a 'Scammer' and will not be doing business with them.  (Colorado Resident)

Just got a scam from this number also, they tried to get me to agree to pay a western union shipping fee of some sort which was $650.00 when im the seller. So I told him that I'd arrange a transaction but he insisted that I register for a paypal account, so off the bat I sensed that it was a scam. The name that I got was "MARK JUAN" who says he's doing some business trip overseas. Item I had posted on craigslist was a camcorder for $1200.00 so i agree that their definetly going for the big ticket item
