I just got a text from them asking if I would take less for a cabinet on Craigs List. I said yes and texted back the price and then I  get they need my name, address etc to have a check sent out and then their shipping agent would contact me.  I am gonna screw with them till they call the cops on me!!!!

This number is responding to my craigslist ad. Generic copy/paste method of responding to ads. Knew it was a scam from the start since the exact same short message was texted to me within minutes using this and another number.

Now this scammer with this number is using the name Sam Donaldson... wants for me to reply at samdonaldson652@yahoo.com.... BE AWARE!!!!

Another fraudlent message from Larry Lotten. He texted me and then ask me to send him an email. Here is his email after I told him I would not accept cashiers check and wondered why he would buy sofa sight unseen. I knew it sounded fishy so googled him and found this thread.

I got an email from Larry Lotten in reference to a caregiver positon for his sister.

OMG!!! this is happening to me too.. Craigs list;;; I am selling spinner bike. Why would you pay $3,500 for a bike i am selling for $500... Mary Rulh.. Marry white... Larry Lotten  Wants me to keep 550 send the rest to money gram to 362 long ring dr san jose ca, 95129... I got the check thinking it was for 550 then I look at it and it is for $3,500... I knew something was up with that!!! I praY THEY GET PUT IN JAIL!!! cRAZY PEOPLE!!!

They are using the number (646) 389-3451. The money was sent from Hennessy Funds and US Bank in Milwaukee, WI. Does this match up with everyone else?

Just had the same thing happen to me. selling a 1946 Plymouth business coupe. Said her name was Heather. Told me the car transporter was Larry Lotten and to send money through Walmart to them. Pretty much the same way you guys said happened to you. The thing with Walmart you can pick up money at any Walmart in the state issued. So they can pick up money anywhere in California as long as they have confirmation number and photo id with matching name.

Responded to Craigslist add - said they were Larry Lotten - poor guy who probably exists is getting a bad name from Craiglist scammers.

I got the same message. I told him Cash only and you need to pick it up. He said I cant I am going over seas. I told him then I cant sell it to you. LOL
