i got the same thing. The guy said I would be arrested  and  and God Bless you. I have not answered any numbers. I had made a mistake on line and trying to apply for a loan. now several people has called to want me to verify my bank info. I don't talk to them.just let it ring. I hope they just quit. Kinda scared the have info.

Hello, I have received some calls from someone that I can barely understand that claims he is a representative from a law firm for the lawyer named Frank Murphy asking me for my Lawyer's name and phone number. He claims that there is a lawsuit against me that I need to settle or I will be arrested. When I answered the call from 646-937-9351 and told him that I know this is a scam they hang up. This is really annoying!!!

I got a message from the number 646-937-9351 stating he was an attorney named Frank Murphy.  It sounds like a fake and the noise in the background is terrible. Don't know what it's about but it has to be a scam.  Attorneys don't call, they send certified mail or have someone hand deliver a summons

I received a call from him this morning. Ignored the call, got a voice mail. listened to  man with a very thick accent. all i could understand was frank murphy and a thinly veiled threat..."all i can do is wish you luck i the matter as it comes to and may God bless you". Called the NY state bar, and got told to call the office of court administration to find out if Frank Murphy is in fact a real lawyer. I called his number back and the respones "the magic jack user you called is not available" very very fishy...will be calling that court office on monday as i am in a central time zone and have to work.

I have received two calls from 1-646-937-9351 on 12/20/13 and 12/23/13 from a Frank Murphy saying that there is a claim against me and if I do not return the call or have my attorney return the call, that I would be arrested.

this is all a scam to extort you from your hard earned money.  Please use your common sense and DO NOT fall for these scam artists.  DO NOT give them any information.

I got about 40 phone calls from this number saying that I was gonna be arrested for not paying the terms and conditions fee and they kept on asking me to give more money then I asked this man named frank Murphy and Roger Mitch Jr who is going to attest me and he say the us Marshall that was 3 hours ago they were to be here nothing.

I have been on the phone today since 8:00 am from this phone number. He was asking me to go to walmart and get a green dot  money pack in the amount of $200. After reading what everyone else has written about frank murphy he called again and I let him know that I was reporting him also and he was nothing but a scam and he was saying something about if I cant trust him and before he continued I responded that he was a scam he needed to get a real job and dont call again and then hung up.

Had the same problem, its a scam, frank murphy is their wanna b lawyer n I told him to contact my law enforcement agency  with the supposedlty supena they had for me. Lol he got upset cause I told him I knew it was a scam n hung up..they called again today pretending to be a diff lawyer...so I told em per the FDCPA to put it in writting and mail it to me. They hung up and haven't heard from em all day

Update: the Indian Guy (he said his name was Jerry Taylor) actually called me back and asked if if I called Attorney General Frank Murphy yet. I pointed out that Schneiderman is NY Attorney General, and this Indian guy was still asking me if I called Frank Murphy yet. Also, lots of echo on the call, like from a bad call center.

I keep getting calls from this number. Guy with a thick Indian accent who claimed there is some lawsuit against me or something. When the guy called today I picked up (already checked the phone number on this site), so I asked him for Frank Murphy's Bar ID number. He kept saying he was not authorized to give it out, but eventually he told me it was NY9361 and that Frank Murphy was the Attorney General (!) and that if I thought his call was a scam, I should just wait until Attorney General Frank Murphy sends the sheriff out to arrest me (I'm not even in New York). Too funny - I started laughing and he hung-up on me. Has anyone contacted the NY State Bar yet about this scammer?

I Recieved to many calls to count from an attorney Frank Murphy. He was very hard to understand but was telling me to have someone bail me out of jail. I called the number back to let them know that I have reported them and also I have notified the fraud dept. BEWARE

I received the same message from Frank Murphy.

I got the same call yesterday and same exact message. There is also another number they are using its 903-945-7976 and the name they are using is Robert Smith. I also filed a report on them to the police in my area. It is a scam and they are trying to find different numbers to use to scam people.

One important thing to remember if these losers have any of your personal information such as your social security number, date of birth or drivers license make sure you register with identity protection notify the credit agencies as well as your banks!!

I received a call at my work from this number and it was a man with accent which you could barely understand with suspicious background noise who gave me case reference number on the lawsuit I will be receiving. I even received 16 missed calls and 4 voice mail from the same number on my cellphone. When I spoke with Nathan Brown, he made threats if I didn't pay the certain account of money that they will come to my work and arrest me. I played along with the scam cause I was trying to find out how much information they have on me. They know my social and email address.

This number has been calling me since yesterday I've rwpoeted him and he don't seem to care also since wed another number doing the same rhing that i have warrants for my arrest that the polive and da well be here to arrest me the sad thinh is they know my social date of birth d.l number

They called me threatening me with the same crap. When I called them back repeatedly they kept hanging up on me. Finally they answered again and told me to stop calling them. I am reporting them to several agencies that deal with fraud.

I received a caller identifying himself as Attorney Frank Murphy that he needed to receive a call back from someone no name or our attorney representative as this was a time sensitive manner. He gave a number of 646 937-9351 and also repeated for on the message. At the end of the message wished Good Luck and God Bless as to what would happened next. Interesting!

Yes this company is a scam they told my boyfriend that he got a loan for a million dollars! ! Of course I do my research on everything and I google the number and this is where it directed me.. these people is very rude will hang up in your face.  Its indeed a scam.  The same voicemail messages he left on others is the same I got..no company threats u to call them back.

I just got the exact same message. Could hardly understand him and had to listen to it multiple times. Did you call him back???? It makes me nervous because I have been scammed before through a legit site being hacked...so Im scared to contact him.

I just received a threatening phone call from this number, and the person on the phone sounded like they were from India.  I am going to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.  I believe this is a scam, and they stated that I have a lawsuit file against me.  I haven't received anything in writing, and they wouldn't tell me who supposedly filed it against me.  This is very suspicious!

Just got a call from this num they are the same for a loan asking for me to buy a Green Dot card with the amount off $183 yeah allright like they said is Indian people Doesn't want to wrok they just Make frouds like that  I report the number to the Us Marshall already

Just got a call at work from a Nathan Brown at ACLS law firm about a debt collection. It went to my voicemail so when I called the number back it said it was Frank Murphy Law office and he would get back to me later.  I left a message saying that I have reported this number to the authorities and if he calls again I will pursue the matter stronger.

Thanks for the info. Since this morning I have received countless calls not from the same number but a new one 845-445-2833, When he identified himself on my voicemail as Alex Roger, I called back and wouldn't you know, Attorney Frank Murphy answered the phone. I said this is the same woman who you spoke with this morning and this time I was going to contact someone within the FBI. He hung that phone up so quickly again without saying goodbye. The voicemail with the same person didn't say "May God Save You", this time it was he hoped that "I survived what is about to what is getting ready to happen." Is that a physical threat? People just have no respect. UGH!! So everyone be very aware........this man has at least 6 different numbers that I know of!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I just called back and the so-called attorney Frank Murphy answered and I asked him what kind of scam was he up to and he said he woudn't know who would use his company's name or number to do anything pertaining to a scam. When I told him that is a lie and I have just reported him and also mentioned that I was sitting here looking at the computer of the complaints of a phone scam, to be a attorney, he hung that phone up quickly, and didn't even say goodbye. I called back, left a message and told him that if he ever calls my number again that I do have contacts in the location where his phone number is based out of and he better NEVER call me again. I think anyone on this page who has heard from this person, call back and tell him that his gig is up and to never contact you again, I did tell him that I would be contacting the authorites he stated I have no proof yet I have a list of his incoming calls and saved all of his threatening voicemails. I FEEL BETTER NOW!!!
