I got call from MR. Santiago offering a job for a porter position on west 38th street. Asking for 100 for training for porter certificate. Sounded a little suspicious since the initial call does not give company name by I called since I am in need.
It all sounds as scam.

Resume & 50 in cash I knw most companies deal with money orders .. So I was a bit concerned she said I had to get training to be certified my the state .. Pay suppose to be 18.75 for a desk job.... Wow this is scary ppl really out her scamming ppl! Smh
I got the same call yesterday and today. Yesterday a man Named Abraham called saying that i applied for a job online and if I'm interested please call back to set up an interview. I called back and left a voice mail. But thought it was shady when in the voice mail he left me and on his own voice mail didn't have the company name anywhere in it. I got a call from another number 646-998-3234 from a ms Delano. It was the same kind of voice mail and when trying to call back the mailbox was miraculously full. I decided to Google both numbers and came up with this. Thank god for the internet!
They left a voicemail message on my cell phone saying, "Hello this is Mr. Santiago looking for [my name] in regards to a job opportunity." He asked about qualifications and if I was able to bring $100 dollars to an "interview". When I said no, he immediately hung up. SCAMMERS who want to steal your identity and pay them $100 for the favor!
I JUST got a call from a 646-998-3635 number. It went to voice mail and the caller was Mr. Santiago. I called back a few minutes later and he told me the same story. Unknown office located off of Times Sqare, 247 w 38th st. Same thing about S.S, State ID, resume and of course $100 dollars. Immediate red flag. He told me to come in on Monday, but I was feeling fishy about the whole thing and low and behold you guys saved me from this. I hope my added story will also help convince anyone who is feeling suspicious about this deal to steer clear!
Unsolicited call. Barely coherent caller. Aggressive. Didn't want to give his or company's name. Got angry and abusive when I asked where he'd got my number from.
Mz. Hell to the No
Got the call from a Mr. Santiago he left a message in the morning and then called again later in the afternoon about a job opportunity. Flag number one no job for that type of work is calling twice in a day. Then he starts speaking to me like he grew up with me or something, flag number two. He seemed to get upset when I question the $100. When I said it's not for me he just hung up on me.
Got a call today from Mr Pruna from number 646 998 2232 he told me to bring $100 to 247 west 38 st same story I decided to Google them before going there and I found out that its a scam. Thanks to you guys I didn't waste my money and time ....
What's wrong with people taking advantage of poor ...sad
Just got a call from this number. Somebody name Javier telling me to bring my SS, resume and $100 for training good thing I googled this number first. I almost fell for it too. S*** is sad smh.
A LADY WITH AN CHINESE ACCENT CALLED ME FROM A CELL PHONE, TELLING ME ABOUT A JOB OFFER AND THAT HER OFFICE WAS LOCATED IN THE GARMENT DISTRCIT IN NEW YORK, WHEN I TOLD HER TO GIVE A MINUTE TO WRITE DOWN THE ADDRESS, SHE HUNG UP, I CALLED HER BACK IMMEDIATLEY BUT SHE DID NOT ANSWER MY PHONE AND HER VOICE MAIL SAID THAT IT DID NOT RECEIVEE VOICE MESSAGE
Loved this post. A job interview in Time Square? Beautiful!
I have an interview with somebody named mr.Javier today and I just wanted to google the address. I knew something was wrong when he left me a voicemail and when I called back the number kept going to voicemail or say the number was disconnected for a week. Finally he called back and I almost fell for the scam. He wanted me to bring my social security card, birth certificate, resume and let's not forget $100.
I got the same low-down as everyone else, interview in Time Square, bring social security card, resume, and $100. As soon as I said "that sounds pretty fishy too me" the woman on the other line said "have a nice day" and hung up the phone. An hour later the number called again and left a voice mail, this time a man who said that if I'm still interested in the position to call him back. Yeah, okay.
Mz Nobody's Fool
the same number called me smdh.
Mz Not Ur Fool
I already replied to FC (another potential victim) complaint and yes my bogus call of criminal intent came from 646 998-3235 disguised as a Mr KoKo very conniving Caucasian toned man smh well my name is Mrz NoNo to him Lol & just wheres the NYC authorities obviously they not doing their jobs properly that such criminals are at large nowadays preying on the people pockets by perpetrating fraudulent jobs.
Ms. Never a fool for You
just got call from a man socalled named Mr. KoKo the name itself rang the first alarm then he had audacity to ask me for $100 processing fee smh that number he called me from was 646 998 3235, which needs to be properly under fraud investigations you ask me way too much scam.com going on. Somebody needs to be apprehended by the authorities for perpetrating a fraud organization/Company on people livelihood. Glad I read previous victims complaints too.
