my panasonic phone has a call block on the menu.  Check your phone to see if have that feature.  Once you have the number you can apply it to the phone call block list.  After that the phone rings once then no more if blocked call come in

If you have a Shaw phone package other than just basic, it is easy to block numbers. Go to Shaw website > Customer care > Digital Phone Support > Anonymous Call Blocking........then follow simple instructions to enter the number you want blocked. You can block up to 32 numbers.

We've been getting these automated survey calls for months. They do give an option to press 9 to be removed from the call list which has never seemed to work.

BUT: I wanted to give a Heads up!*****I've pressed 9 before when prompted to be removed MANY times and it's like the automessage doesn't accept it. Today I pressed 9, then I waited...and then I pressed 9 again and go figure an automated voice came on and said something like "Your request has been received you will be removed from our call list." So it seems this stupid auto-message accepts it if you press 9 more than once, but if you only press 9 one time it won't accept it.*****

P.S.- I am posting this on all the boards for #'s that have called to make ppl aware that this may be the answer to getting the calls to stop!

We daily receive calls from 647.247-1758

Never any answer from the caller.

How do we block them getting through?

We live in Greater Vancouver and daily, repeatedly, receive calls from 877.894-0084. No one ever answers.

We also receive a call barrage from 1.647.247-1758 and also no answers.

We are on the Shaw phone system. Can these calls be blocked? If so, who do we call? And if not, why not?

Any answer with a solution would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

This number called us at 6:53 AM!!!!  Freaked us out.  Thought there was an emergency in the family.  I definitely want to look at the call zapper.  The amount of telemarketers out there is getting ridiculous.

Frequent calls from this number - annoying

Picked up and no one answered. Then after hanging up the called me in the next 2 seconds. Didn't bother to reply this time. Really annoying

Receiving unwanted calls from this number 647-247-1758 on a regular basis. I am on the Do not Call List. Apparently this does not work.

I have connected a "call zapper" that i bought a few years ago from London drugs.  I hope it works.  Basically, it emits a sound/tone when answering a call.  The tone is one that tells auto dialers that the line is out of service.  I just got another call from 647-247-1758 this morning and the call zapper emitted the tone.  I'm hoping my number is now off the auto dialer's list!  If this works, i'll write back again.  The call zapper was quite cheap.  Can't remember the price, but it was under $15 maybe?

Jerks called at 7:15 a.m.  I called back right away and it said it was a survey to participate hit 1.  I wanted to give someone hell for calling so early and the message said that the survey expired.  Jerks.

posting messages that say "i did not answer" is NOT helpful for people who come here looking for information. duh.

Annoying telemarketing scammer no doubt related to upcoming national elections. Calling back with your CID blocked results in a "now the survey time has expired" after you press "1."

This is complete b***s***...don't fall for it, and don't answer.

Call display showed this #  on August 26 at 2:21p.m (Sunday), no message left.
