Please do not call my house anymore

Calls have been going on for over a year , 2-3 times a month , always around 8:30 PM. They always hung up.

As mentioned by previous posters, I called 1800 404 2464 and a nice young lady picked up . Asked her to place my number on the DNC list and told me she will do it and have a good night. Will see.

Female caller claiming to be conducting an "important survey" about something or other.  I hung up.

Wow. Get some education!

Keep getting calls from....1-800-404-2464..........NEVER anybody there and just hangs up. I think it's time to take a bounty out on these people. It's not impossible to find out where the call originates and I have the means of "elimination".........For the sake of human lives, I'll give one more chance.

While my sympathies are with you on the loss of your friend, this has nothing to do with whether or not Leger is staffed by "lowlifes". Everyone needs to work. If they are polite, if they listen to me instead of being pushy, if they only call when legally permitted, and if they stop calling after I ask them to remove my name then I would call that being professional.

And yes, DNCL is a waste of time.

really? They are supposed to wait until after 10 on weekends? File a complaint with CRTC, they will fine them.

It's a Sunday morning.  Have been getting a call from this number since 7:30 a.m.  and every hour on the hour since......this is a SUNDAY not a week day work day......but a family go to church day......leave us alone.....you are irritating.....be at least polite and leave a message. :(

woman using this number called me. i answered and woman kept saying hello as if she couldn't hear me and then there was dead air. i called back and there was no answer. tried several times and still no answer. someone using this number calls several times a day almost every day

MB,  surveys are indeed exempt from the DNC.  However, once you request that they not contact you again,  they are obligated not to contact you.

I followed the advice, called 1-800-404-2464 and yes, they were polite, and yes they claim to have removed my number from their list now.

They also claim that survey companies are exempt from the Do Not Call list.

If only it were that easy to get rid of others.

Like the previous poster, we have just had a death (best friend) and are trying to assist. We are fielding calls before funeral. Then we get calls from low-life companies  like Leger marketing.

We are on the DNC list too but that seems kind of useless.

We've been receiving calls from 647-258-0262 for some time.  Thank goodness for caller ID, I don't pick up.  However, having just buried my mother, this is infuriating as we are going through hell right now.  I registered on the "do not call" list.  Obviously, that was a waste of my time.

These people always call nobody ever says anything,one time I heard laughing another time a girl said in a really quiet voice" please can anyone hear me".so I want online found that there are lots of people having this problem. I called 1800 404 2464. Told them what was going on and  they took my number off their calling list.wow creepy company

They do the survey for COSCO, and ask the questions like how many people in house, how many under 18, your age range & income range, how you like shopping in COSCO Orillia compare with Barrie. etc. feel not good, I shouldn't answer these questions

This is unreal. 10 calls this week, no message, then four times today. One time I quickly picked up then hung up again, hoping their autodialer would stop calling, but no joy there.

And no, I will not call them, as I suspect that information gets sold on as well. Just like when you click "unsubscribe" to junk mail (your email is worth a lot more when you respond).

Anyone here notice that the number of calls since the no call list in Canada went up has not diminished in the slightest?

Just had to say, "wow" you really are terrible!!!  Seems you have a bit more problems then just telemarketers.  Why don't you just get rid of your phone or better yet gp find a cabin somewhere very isolated so you can't be bothered by people.  You call yourself canadian?  With an attitude like that you should move to another contry.  Hope none of those terrible things you said come back to you.

A girl from this number had the nerve to call me at 9:30pm the other night  ( on a week night) to see if I was interested in taking a survey and I said, "You're calling me at 9:30"? and she said, " This is when my shift is".  I told her I'm not interested and hung up and sure enough I get home from work today and I see this same number on my phone again.  Maybe they should conduct a survey on what time the average working class person goes to bed during the week so they can go to their REAL job.

So Annoying!!!!!!!!

Got a call from 647.258.0262 at 8:34PM on a Thursday night (half an hour ago) March 8, 2012.

I asked the woman on the phone if she has kids, she said no, but would like to ask me only a few questions. I asked her if she knows the time. She said it wont take long.

I interrupted her and gave her the following:

Well lady, I hope you will never find out what it means to get a call after an hour of trying to get your daughter to sleep on a weekday and someone ignorant waking her up for some questions. I wish this for you, for your family, for your coworkers, for your boss and even for your friend that knows what you do for living. I wish this by a simple curse that all of you die of ovarian or prostate cancer.

She said - this is mean.

I said - I know, and I hope you will go to your f*ing church and pray for your f*ing god that my curse does not come true. In the meantime, I will say the same or even worse to the next looser that calls our line this time a day for "market research".

She said that she needs a job.

I said go work at a doughnut shop or sell yourself on the corner, I would at least respect you. If you don't want to, then why don't you just hang yourself, that way there would be one less looser burden on society. Make sure you write this down on your last note, so your loser family and friend thinks twice before they take on a job like yours. By the way, have a horrific woman's day today, I hope you die.

She hang up.

Yes, I know I was mean. I know, I sad horrible things. The frightening part is that even now I do mean it. I do think that our society is full of useless sub-humans that do not deserve to live. I am pissed off maybe because I find these people every day in my life and everywhere. On the road, behind the counter, my clients or theirs, on the web or the TV or radio. I can cope with them all as the do not disturb my home, my space, my life. But I lost it when this one did.

Do I feel remorse? Not a bit. It is now 38 minutes after the call, and I still would say the same. I just wish I had a red button on my phone that would execute this kind of trash at the other end of the line.

Whoever reading this, please pass this on to anyone you can. Telemarketers do not make friends over the phone. Before you take on a shady job, think about if you want crazy people like me curse you like this.

What if my curse did come true? WOW!!!! I would start believing in a crazy UFO like creature in the sky and go give my money to some pedophile that kisses a cross in a fancy bathrobe and reads mean stories of ancient pedophiles to morons who sit in rows in a big building with a cross on it that we built from our taxes.

Face it - if you work hard, live straight, never cheat and never lie, you are supporting 90% of the society.

Have a better tomorrow (hopefully without these morons).

Called three times today, I agreed to answer approximately 30 questions, took about 20 minutes. Some of these questions were quite personal - income level, race, exact age..

Spoke with Lynn, said we were awarded with the opportunity to pick the nominees for the Consumers Choice Awards.

They said they were doing a survey for McMaster University. Asked if anyone lived here who was male between the ages of 20-something and 34.

Why should I take the time to request these people take MY NUMBER off their list.  It's my private number and they are interrupting my day.  It's infuriating!  I get 4-5 of these calls every day....EVERY DAY!  My number is on every Do Not Call List available.  If I haven't called you I don't want you to call me!

Received call saying it was a survey on job trends and community programs, sounded odd, second question was exact age not an age category, when I questioned and did not answer they disconnected.
