Called this morning twice, about 20 to 40 minutes apart. Has called numerous times before. Did not answer every time but once about two weeks ago or so. When I did, I was asked my age by an automated recording of a man's voice claiming that this was a poll regarding political preferences, to which I hung up.

Some of the time I actually wait for a voice on the line and clearly indicate that their group/organization/sponsor should not call me about their "survey".
Why do I bother? They call again, and again, and again.
Usually I just lift the receiver and hang up right away when "Tlmktr" or "Survey" (that I inputted) appears on my call display. My 25 "blocked" numbers work to some extent, but it filled up. Now the unwanted number list has about 40 callers that I do not wantl. Do I have to get a phone system that blocks 100 numbers?
Sometimes I have to be rude because I really was interrupted when doing something important. I don't mind someone phoning my home when it's amily or important to me and I expected a call from that person even if I'm busy at the time. But ... I sure get peeved when a call comes in that I didn't solicit at all! Hence an occasional bit of rudeness on my part. But they deserve it.
Come on Feds. Change the Do Not Call Registry rules so that surveys and charities are NOT exempt. I am quite happy to receive calls from groups that I associate with now or in the recent past, but not from carpetbagger fronts for some political party or money grabbers.

LIES! You clearly work for this company or one like it. You hide behind lies that you use to delude yourselves that what you do actually matters. If people who are being harassed want to know something, they need to be told. These types of calls do no good and are not a valuable service to society. There is no legitimate reason that they should be exempt from the national DNC registry rules.
Go ahead, get belligerent and reply to this post. That's what you people do. Or go off spouting rules that entitle you to be bullies. What you fail to realize is that YOUR opinion doesn't count.
| Anon 2012-12-19 03:28:04 Unknown |
The reason that they did not give a political party which they were representing is because they are NOT TOLD who has requested the poll so that they are not in any way biased.
| anon 2012-12-19 03:25:57 Unknown |
This is a pure lie as I worked for this company and we do not do that, we do political calls and surveys to do with issues in your neighbourhood as well as to recruit for high paying focus groups. So instead of being rude to people trying to make an honest living, you should listen to what the agent on the line has to say because a lot of the time its of interest to you and pays very well for a little of your time which would be better spent not bitching on the computer.

If the authorities are not able to do anything against these idiots, nor the Bell, what can we do?
I already stopped responding to 800 numbers, now they're coming up with legitimate look alike ones.
I figured the best is to pick the phone up and immediately hang up so they can't count as a call, because
they cannot reach the answering machine.
I'd like to know what is the best do.

I too had a call for my opinion, on a survey about the possibility of a casino in the GTA: the survey was poorly designed, and the polster was inept. I did ask for their number and their company name, but she gave no indication that she was phoning on behalf of a political party--but the survey gave itself away.

Received 30 calls from these clowns. Some kind of dating agency. Asked about my sexual preferences...unfortunately I was very honest about it. Guess that's why they keep calling back. Weirdos.

This company now claims to be called iFusion Research. They called me on April 4th to elicit my participation in a simple 7-question survey about living in Toronto or something to that effect.

Received a couple of calls from 647-258-1753, on the morning of Oct. 1st.
Very annoying.
Called them back, since they are a 'local' number for me, and they answered as "Campign Research".
Is it just because of the Ontario Provincial election?
The DNC list has never worked despite all of the advertising for our persoanl privacy.

Called October 2nd about lunchtime. I had some time, so I figured I'd waste some of theirs.
Automated political survey for upcoming Ontario election after very long pause.
Asked 3 questions: Age, Gender and who I intended to vote for in my riding (candidates by name for my specific riding).
No method offered to be removed from the calling list. No contact number or otherwise identification of company involved.
Lied about all three questions and promptly blocked the number.

called that # back - got extra long voicemail in both, English and Frech which indicated that they have a do-not-call feature but, at the end it tells me that the in-box is full and not able to take any more messages but did at the start give the company name as CAMPAIGN RESEARCH - further investigation indicates that the principals of the company have been actively involved with election campaigns among others, so, hopefully these nuisance calls will stop on or after Oct. 6/11 in Ontatio

keep getting calls from that number - called it back and got a extra long voicemail message in both, English and French at the end of which it tells me that their in-box is full and can't take any more messages but identified the call originator as CAMPAIGN RESEARCH - further investigation leaves me with the impression that these annoyance calls have to do with the upcoming election in Ontario as the principals of Campaign Research have previously worked in election campaigns for the PC's as well as the Liberal party and on the election campaign in Toronto's municipal election. If I'm right, these calls should cease on or after Oct. 6, 2011.

have been getting calls from this number for weeks now - "Market Research" - traced that number back to Allstream Corp., operating out of Toronto - their web page shows a toll-free number 1-855-299-7050.
Maybe I'm going to start calling that number repeatedly and tie up their line - would only be fair, I would think

keep getting calls at all times, including weekends - recorded message - got annoying enough that I did some backtracking - the number belongs to Allstream Corp, located in Toronto Found a toll-free number on that company's website.
It's 1-855-299-7050
Maybe we ought to keep calling that number and tie up their line, as they keep harrassing us - would only be fair
