at E-solving 1-347-318-1979 or 1-800-753-301 he tried to convince me that he was trying to help me on window's behalf. I wasn't connected to the internet so he insisted i do it and got really angry that i was not trusting him. that was my clue. when i googled e-solve only scam entries came up. that confirmed it for me and made him mad so he hung up. caller type is computer technician who was going to fix my microsoft programs that were stopped in misconfig run.

I received the same type of  call.  Caller sounded Asian but stated they were from esolvin without a g at the end.  She went by the name of Stacy Jones and give me a website address of www.esolvin.com with a telephone number of 1-877-280-5374.  Sound irrated that I told her I was on my way out the door and requested her information but still ask me to go to my computer one last time before I hung up.

Got a call from E-solutions (1-877-280-5374) some Pakistan person claiming I had an issue with my "Windows" system.. I played along... asking them how I fix this and that if we get disconnected what number can I call them back at... they gave me 647-288-1790.

After about 30 minutes of her trying to help me find my "Start Button" she finally realized that I don't have one because I don't use Windows, I use Linux.  Oh the colourful language I received...I hung up..  About 3 min later they called back, I answered the phone with "Waterloo Regional Police, how may I direct your call?" and got a click from the other end...

Hopefully that deters them a bit...

I have probably received a call from this number, and many other numbers, including "Private Number". These guys (and gals) are ruthless; they will NOT give up! They have been pestering me for a good 2 years -- probably because I stupidly gave in on the first one.  I hear the foreign accent and I know it's one of them, and I ask where they are calling from and they say either esolving or esolutions. I tell them I will ONLY deal with Dell and they tell me, No, Dell can not fix these problems. BS.  I'm sooooo sick fo them calling me day after day after day. Doesn't help to cuss them out because they'll swear right back at you. The call I received today showed up as Brooklyn, NY 347-410-8683.

Recently retired I must have too much time on my hands and have had several of these calls;  I 've found some typical responses that have gotten them to stop .. at least for a while

1)  I ask them to explain how they can correlate a phone # to IP address (It's impossible) .. and then throw  in I'm Microsoft certified .. They hang up :)
2)  I've asked them to hold while I turn on my computer .. and then blow a large referee whistle in their ear
3)  Tell them I'll just be a minute .. I'm BBQing beef hamburgers, ask them if they would like one .. they hang up
4)  Asked them if they can hear me ok .. and then start singing nonstop .. "Kumbuyah"
5)  Asked them if they are religious... cause I'm worried about their soul not going to heaven  for scammng people like this
6)  Asked him for HIS credit card number

They are apparently getting smarter. The number that shows on my caller ID is 0. I mentioned the Do Not Call list. Asked how they got my name.  Asked who was paying for this service call. Got him to admit it's not a virus but a file that downloads through the internet. So I said i could fix myself by clearing my cache, temp files and running my virus and anti-ad programs. Nothing fazed him. Just kept wanting me to log on to my computer which of course I refused to do. Finally told him I work in IT (which I do) and I was not logging on to my computer for anybody. These guys need to be stopped. Too many people will just do as asked because they don't know.

I had a  similar experience, but was eventually after many phone calls worn down and agreed to pay £192 for a three year contract,  A short while later I was telephoned again and they said the payment had gone through twice and they were having problems returning one of the payments,  They wanted details of another credit card so this credit could go through to that one.  When I refused any more personal info they eventually got annoyed and rang off.  I then contacted my credit company straight away only to find they had taken out other payments without my authority  for possibly bogus companies in India for various amounts.  These unauthorised payments I got back eventually, but their latest phone call stated they were closing the business down and they needed my details to repay my payment of £192 as they would not be able to fulfil their contract!!  Do they think I have a bad memory,  even after telling them they were a thieving lot of b....... it was me that hung up.   Never again!

Receive 3 or 4 calls daily from guy with thick East Indian accent. unfortunately fell for scam a year or so ago. Have told this 'nut job' (calls himself Ryan) that I want nothing to do with him or esolving. Every day I get calls from an 'out of area'. As I'm writing this there's another out of area call. Told him just on Monday, it's now Thursday, that I'm reporting him to the on-line fraud division. I would think that screaming at him over the phone in no uncertain terms to stop calling my number that he MIGHT get the message. His reply was that 'something bad' may happen to my computer. At this I really lost it, and then hung up the phone. How do I get this idiot to stop this harassment?

Received a call from Esolving yesterday; saying they worked for Microsoft (Windows).  I went thru the whole process with them on my Computer; Then they asked me to give them my Visa or Master card # to pay $204.00.  I don't have either, thank God I never paid.  Because of the heavy East indian accent I asked where he was calling from his response was India.  They wanted me to go out and buy a prepaid Visa Card for this amount; I will not be doing this!  They left phone #; 1-877-280-5374 and 1-4036211075 and the person said his name was Mark Nicholson.  I'm so glad I checked this site out and found out it was a scam.  They said the prepaid card had to be Visa.

I just had a call from 'Charles Dickens' working for esolving, in salt lake city supposedly. The guy had a very heavy indian accent and was clearly reading from a script. He wanted me to press 'win+R' then run msconfig, I knew it was a scam and told him so, hung up but he called me back twice. I kept asking him 'are you going to ask me to give you remote access to my pc?' he kept saying no, you must check for viruses, but did agree eventually that he wanted remote access to fix it.  I told him I was micky mouse and didn't need any help. Very persistent even when I said i knew what he was doing...I was only sure it was a scam because I had a similar call last year, did allow them remote access but didn't give them a credit card number thankfully.

Got a call 14 Jan 13 from a Coy called e-solving.  Operator spoke very poor English but convinced me that I had problems with my computer. I do not spend that much time on line and fell for his story and he quickly put a guy called Allen Harding (employment number 11307) on the line who assured me this Coy helping people out and sorting their computers out after being infected whilst shopping on line and gave me a Phone number 020 331 85 211.  He had me fooled for some time but I eventually realised it was a SCAM.  They phoned back the next day and said that I must pay because they had provided a service which would last for 12 months.  I agrued with him (he was paying for the call) and told him he needed to type his own Coy name into a search engine and see the adverse comments on his Coy.  He got quite angry and said I needed to pay.  He eventually gave up and put the phone down.  Being new to this I probably allowed them to convince me what they were saying was true, a lesson learned.  I hope all learn that this is a scam and stay clear.

ESOLVING SCAM: This is a criminal syndicate operating from India BEWARE!!

They especially prey on vulnerable people like pensioners. I run an IT support business and one of my clients is an 88 year old gent who got nailed twice by these guys. The first time they phoned him (May 2011) saying they were from Microsoft and he had viruses. The caller had a heavy Indian accent. After logging in to his PC with Logmein Rescue, they installed junkware and proceeded to clear his log files and internet histories.

For this he was billed £ 180.00. To add insult to injury, they accessed his Outlook email, pasted text in which stated that he was happy with the service and agreed not to lodge a chargeback with the credit card company. Then they sent this email to themselves from his account, fraudulently making it appear as if HE had sent the email!! Fortunately we were able to assist him in getting his money back.

On 5 Jan 2013, they AGAIN phoned him and performed a high pressure sales pitch, even threatening and intimidating him. He kept putting the phone down but they kept calling back. Unbelievably, but under all this pressure and duress he again fell for it and gave them access to his PC. This time, they stole £ 192.00 from his credit card. The card was cancelled and the amount is being reversed.

It's clear that these scamsters focus particularly on the elderly and vulnerable, since they're easy pickings for this feral scum. They obtain data stolen from NHS patient lists in the UK, and like vultures descend on over 65 victims since they consider them to be gullible, naive and easy to manipulate.

I will paste the text of the email that they themselves sent from his PC once they gained access to hit below.

BE WARNED, THIS IS A SCAM!! These criminals scare and intimidate their victims. They perform NO value at all, it's all smoke and mirrors. The British police have cracked down on these scamsters inside the UK but have no jurisdiction over those outside our borders. They use Voice over IP systems like Skype to make it appear as if they're calling from within the UK.

This number keeps calling me. I live in Kitchener-Waterloo and they constantly call asking to speak to the owner of the house. Today when they called I just said, Stop calling me. The guy who was clearly from India based on his accent said Listen you Bi***, shut up. Then he kept calling me a B**ch and said You know you're a b**ch, hang up the phone b**ch, etc... The call ended a minute later.
This was a first. I've had them call many times but this is the first time it was laced with profanity and his voice was fairly menacing too.

I just received 5 calls in a row. First one showed 647-288-1790 on the call display. I listened for a minute or two, but I have received over a dozen calls from this company, or similar ones over the past year. Finally, I had enough, and told the guy I knew he was a scammer and I told him where to go. He started SHOUTING at me! It was kind of funny. I hung up on him in mid-sentence.

The next call came not a minute later, from "Number Unavailable." Looks like they're getting smarter. It was the same guy, asking me why I hung up on him. This happened over and over, until I answered the phone and didn't say a thing. He hung up a few seconds later, and (so far) hasn't called back.
