They called me today on my cell asking for my husband who is at work and kept bugging if they could call back tonight when I said not hey asked about every other day in the week. This is going to be an interesting week since we work opposite shifts!  

Answered once. Told Scotia I wasn't interested in any insurance or in taking their "survey". Nevertheless, the status on my cell phone indicates that this number has now called enough times to log 3 hours, 2 minutes and 51 seconds. And I only answered once. Meaning the rest of the time is just ringing.  And ringing.

Unbelievable.

Third time this month that I have gotten this call from an Ontario number (I live in NB).  I never answer, and I only just got my new cell phone number less than 2 months ago.

Received a call from 647-288-3808 found out its scotia bank insurance.  This is harassment & i want it to stop.  Not impressed.

The first time they called me there was no one there so I hung up. Second time I was asked repeatedly to stay on the line while they connect me to the caller. After half a minute I hung up. They've been calling steadily since yesterday.  If they call again I'll tell them off.  If they call again after that, I will go to the bank and let them know. They might not even know this is happening.

Won't make any difference. CIBC and RBC have both called me for s*** like that.

I'm SICK and TIRED of the BS...!!!! Calling all hours day and night and NEVER EVER LEAVE A MESSAGE....!!!!! A***OLES..!!!! Don't leave people ALONE...!!!!! And why when they call my cell the number is 011 64 7 288 3808 it doesn't even look like a Legitimate number AT ALL...!!!!!!!! I'm sick of this bull I have told them NOT TO CALL AGAIN..!!! And they don't lessen isn't that a form of Harassment.....????????

1 647 288 3808 is NOT a Scotia Bank phone number. I have talked to my Scotia Bank Branch and they have told me this is not one of their numbers.

I get calls constantly from people claiming to be Scotia Bank and TD Bank... All they try to do is get your bank information from you so they can scam you, thats why they say they are "your" bank that's calling... Because you trust your bank. LOL When the bank calls you for anything they ask you to PERSONALLY come down to your branch. They will not discus very much over the phone for safety reasons... DONT BE FOOLED! :)  Hope this helps a bit... :)

I have just got call from 647-288-3808. It says to cover life insurance plan from Scotia Bank. Is this true ?

I'm on the do not call list. Why does Scotia Bank feel they're exempt from this list. They should be fined right along with every other telemarketer out there.

They'be been calling for the past 7 weeks sometimes twice a day, today I decided to answer it, the women on the other end announced herself being from optima communications international on behalf of scotia bank, and I'm a valued custom.  I asked her if she worked for scotia bank, her answer was no, asked how she got my info, response "from scotia bank"
WHO THE F......K GIVES SCOTIA BANK THE RIGHT TO PASS MY INFO OUT, THIS NOW BECOMES A BREECH OF TRUST AND SECURITY
First stop is my branch to blast them and then to BBB to file the complant
I recommend any who gets calls from them to do same

This is a scam to try and extract financial information from you . Should you answer this call just tell them that you do not share your info with anyone unles it is face to face at your branch. That shuts them up real quick.

I've had this number call me a few times so far, but they hang up as soon as I answer so I'm not even sure who they are beyond what I see here. I do have a Scotia account so it would seem to match what I read here.

I keep getting these calls from random numbers. I always let unknown numbers go to voicemail because if it's important, they will leave a message.

Every time I look the odd numbers up these days, someone says it's been on behalf of Scotiabank. I'm not even the customer with our Scotia account, it's my husband. How annoying!

This number keeps calling. I just let the machine answer, they hang up, but the idiots don't give up. They seem to mange to go around the telezapper. I live in BC. Never been to Ontario, and I don't know anyone in Ontario.
