it is from a communication company hired by scotiabank to promote their life insurance/hospitalization insurance or something insurance. f**k, wait my 5 min of my phone minutes. add it into my Dont Answer contact list and also registered as reject list.

Just got a call from this number. i have over 300 numbers in my phone if the name dose not show up i don't answer

Went to voicemail as I don't answer numbers I do not know. They didn't leave message.

Got this call, did not know the number, did not answer phone, found out later it's a scam.

Called me repeatedly, asking to join focus groups, and wasting my time, they keep calling despite being told not too it's harassment and they should never be calling my cell, ever.

I got this call she asked me if I my name is there I said no! I did not whom it was, so I am glad I did not talk. Also watch out for checks from TD for $2000 and $4000 being sent from Toronto from Ireland. If you cash that check you have to go good for it the bank will not take that fall if you put into account at teller or bank machine. Anyway I'm reporting from Windsor Ontario Canada the Voodoo land, I could tell you so much more but I won't. Don't come to Windsor Ontario Canada. Witch Craft, Black magic like crazy here.

They called saying that are from ScotiaBank. They have already personal information from us. It is scared!

I get the call from this number once every day. never  leave a message, honestly Its annoying

Just took a call from some marketing company saying they are affiliated with scotia bank and trying to SELL ME life insurance for $28 a month. I am on the DNC list an they are selling so how is this lawful in Canada?!? Not happy!

This is a scam! Do not give these people any information. They are not really from Scotia Bank. This is a fraud company trying to get you hand over your banking info so they can rip you off.

I have gotten calls from them on more than one occasion, I answer very quickly, but they hang up right away. Very annoying.

Got this annoying call today from Optima/scotia bank saying I was "selected" to get something free I was only half listening since most of these calls are scams when she went on to say I'd only have to pay $30 a month. I cut her off saying I was not interested but she went on for another minute before I said stop talking I'm not interested and I hung up. Very persistent but very scammy non the less. It's probably my fault for bothering to answer my phone in the first place.

I,ve received a call twice from this number. I also did not answer, no voicemail left. I don't bank with Scotia Bank. I live in New Brunswick.

Harassing non stop calls and I have no idea who this is! I want it stopped asap!!

This is not scotia bank... This guy calls my home twice a day every couple of days... He called asked for my cc number wanted $500 said he was the police fundraising for children suicide.. I called the local police station and they said it was a scam.. After I told this person it was a scam the next day after he called pretending  to be a cancer foundation he got very irritable and hung up on me... Now he still calls from a few different numbers asking for my husband... It's ridiculous..

yeah I also got one...no voicemail. When I call back there inbox is full.

I just got a call from this number on my cell...my caller ID said it was from New Zealand.I am reading from others that it is a number associated with Scotiabank which make sense because they are always trying to get me to to take out insurance..........I did not answer.

It's a telemarketer trying to sell Scotiabank Insurance. I guess they heard of the devastating floods in Calgary right now and thought this would be a good time to pitch insurance to Calgarians. Bottom-feeding scum ! ....

I block most 1-800, 1888- #s. After I block them they get a busy signal when they call me.

same here; at first identified as optima something or rather than started calling and hanging up as i picked up (creepy) and left no messages when I did not pick up (banks always leave a message). Called Scotiabank asked that calls be stopped apparently may take a while for my number to register as do not call. Not holding my breath; next time I get this call going to call Scotia and tell them I'm moving my account somewhere else.

i had an issue with this number calling me as well. upon finding this forum i called my bank and requested that they check my account and stop all 3rd party calling. we'll see if it makes it stop

D.N.C. list only applies if you don't already do business with that company.  Once you have ever had a financial transaction with them, they're allowed to call you.  Frustrating isn't it.
