This is Scotia Bank selling insurance.  They are very annoying and call at least once a week.  Scotia holds our mortgage, so I guess that give them the right to bug me on a weekly basis.  My husband asked to be removed from the list, but it seems we ask them every time and they sitll call.

My best advice is to treat the outbound operator like a piece of s**t and act like YOU are an operator yourself, only you don't make outbound calls.  YOU only answer calls.  How can I help you? you called me... lol. I used to telemarket inbound so its easier than it sounds.  Just say it over and over,  "Simpsons' Garage Doors!, How may I direct your call?"  they will give you something, of course.  Say, "I'm sorry, (<command>) is not a valid entry."  just keep saying the same thing over and over, maybe the rep will waste his/her time trying lol and That is fun, wasting someone's time when they're not even making a sale! lol.  Yeah Blame Canada.  420 4 eva. Cali rules.  U all should just take the next phone call as an opportunity for some venting, and i'm not talking about coors.  BE A JERK!!! It's fun.... the person calling you has become a jerk lol.  tell them u are not interested but don't mind wasting their time!  Tell them you are in the middle of taking a huge s**t in their mother's mouth!  Tell them you are deaf and to hold on while someone comes to the phone(but sound like a deaf person)then leave the phone off the hook.  lol lots of people deserve s**t and now its no longer your turn!

Constantly calling.

Get this number on my caller ID about 3 times a day.  When I call the number back, I get a recording.  It is a marketing firm.

Someone from Canada is calling me and would like to know who it is, and why they are calling me.  Please email me only and not call me.

Sick of these calls.  Never say anything. If I don't know who is calling, I don't answer.  If they don't leave a message I don't answer.  

What good is the do not call list.

Just received a second call within 2 days from this number.  When I answered on the 1st ring they hung up on me.  What kind of company calls someone & then hangs up when the phone is answered.

I called the number back & got an answering machine stating their representatives were busy.  I left a message stating to remove my number from their calling list & stop calling.

How can a company make several calls a day but never say what they are calling for or be on the line when you answer?

Got several calls, finally got live person.  They were trying to sell services for Bank of America credit card.

This number call every single day for the last three or more months. I would not answer call from anyone that I don't know. They don't leave message. Annoying but since I can turn off the phone, I guess that my only option right now.

Call 2-3 times daily.  Use to get calls from them 10-20 times daily but have since died down a bit to 2 or 3.  I called the number and left a message to remove my number and stop Harrasment or proper authorities willl be involved.  Harrasment via phone from my understanding is punishable and can be won in court for up to $1200 in damages...the call is labeled haraasment once it reaches more than twice daily.  Again, this is just what I heard but it sound more like a class action can be taken against these companies that bother us for no reason during the later hours of what is to be a relaxing evening.  Maybe the government should get involved like they have everything else.  It may just be easier to cancel land line service period and let providers suffer to the point that they offer the screening call service for free.

Call repeatedly and wouldn't leave a message

Got a call from this number -- of course, since I didn't recognize the #, I didn't answer.  No message left.  If this is a Bank of America related number, it's their typical MO -- I think they're just calling numbers in their database with whom they've had a prior business relationship to see if those numbers are active.  FIA Credit Services (affiliated with BofA) does this as well.  My solution:  Never, ever answer and report the number when possible.

Jul 14, 2009. called me 5 minutes ago. Ad from Canadian tire. is name is Jashua. Wanted to sell me oil and filter change for 99$ and covers 1 year of change! NOT SURE IF IT IS SPAM. Didn't give him credit card number but he called me by last name and have my address. When asked to call him back he gave me a 1-800 number. Ask to call back if you to take their offer. I WILL NOT!

We've been getting calls from this number every single night (at around 7:30 pacific time) for the past 3 or 4 weeks. Answered and got this automated message saying to call "Bank of America at 1 866..." I contacted Bank of America through live chat and the agent said they has no such number. Most likely a fraudulent call trying to get information out of you!

If anyone has a Canadian Tire Mastercard it seems they have sold this information to anyone they can get their hands on. Every weird number that I've received in the last 6 months all has some marketing correlation tracing back to that.

Don't forget, even if you are on the Canadian do not call list, any company that has done business with you in the last 18 months has an exemption and can still call you unless you specifically ask THEM to remove you from their list. All companies are forced to keep an internal do not call list and have 30 days to comply...

Got many calls with no message in recent days and the last call was a barely audible message that I could not understand and appeared like a distress message.

This number calls at least three times a week I answered it tonight at 830 pm nobody on the other side . I called back and was told that the person at ext. 4??? was on the line and busy, also there business hours were 8 to 5 so I left a message to take my number off of the calling list.
I'll see if this works.????????

got a phone call 10 min ago called it back and got a LIVE PERSON, asked to have my phonenumber removed, they said no problem was very polite, said they are a marketer for many companys the list is to long to type and were offering services

also got call from this number on april 20 2009..they said they were from b of a....probably not.  never trust the call you don't initiate yourself.

Canadian tire also uses these people to do telemarketing for their autoclub

I got this number calling me everyday. Luckily, I was not home to answer the call. I dont  have voice message to leave either. I called back , but it is answer machine.
Today I was reading the book and I got this number again, unknow caller 647 288 7825. This is terrible to keep calling me everyday like I owe them money or what!

What I can do is just ignore the call.

I got call telling that im a master card winner.. ofcourse i declined thier offer. This is a SCAM.

They called to offer a Lowes Card, I called Lowes US HQ and was told this is a scam.

This number has phoned us every single day for the last 2 weeks. I have requested that they do not phone again but they repeatedly keep phoning.

I received a call from this number and it didn't leave a message .

A woman just called me from this number. After I said that I was unavailable she asked for my husband by name, I'm a newlywed so there isn't really anything in both of our names. Most of my stuff is still in my maiden name. I'm so tired of scams. It's been non-stop since Jan. 2009. I've already had to change bank accts. and phone numbers. Somehow 'these people' still find a way in.
