Keeps calling. Who is it?

DO NOT DEPOSIT THIS CK IT IS A SCAM!!! They send you this ck tell you to call their agent who informs you to deposit it ONLY into your account. Next thing you know your overdrafted at the bank. IT IS A SCAM!!! I wish someone would catch up with this couple doing this and put them away for good.

it is a SCAM!!!!!!!! they try to get u to cash the chack so they can take the money right back and it will come back oin u!

My husband got a letter in the mail also in the amount of $3980 from Century Specialties Inc saying he had won $250,000 in the Century Securities Sweepstakes.  He just needed to call before cashing the check.  It sounded like a scam, so I thought I would check the internet before calling that number.

Also, his information didn't match the letter either. He knew how much the check was worth, but told me a different winning amount. He sounded like he was driving while I was talking to me....hmmmm.

I just recieved one today as well from Century Securities Inc. Stating my husband won some sweepstakes held on Sept. 5th. Out of curiosity, I called the number listed: 647.686.7596. Enclosed was a check for $3980.00.
Was told to go deposit right away and to call the guy back as soon as I had done so. You ever get that feeling? Yea, that's the one I got. The only thing he got from me was my phone number, I can always change that. Too bad, preying on people like this right before the holidays. Someone will fall for it too, I so hope they research a little further first.

i too did recieve the letter stating i will be getting a lump sum of 34, 263. and revieved a check for 3,426.33 and did call 647-430-9138/ and yes indeed i believe it is a scam.

I too got the same letter attached with a check for $2,985.00.My letter said time was running out, so i called but my phone wasn't able to get out to this foreign number. I also had a FILE # GFS43264/09 saying I won the lottery. SURE!
Said I could gat $34,263.30 with just a phone camm to 1-647-430-9138 ext 201.

This appears to be another of those Foreign SCAMS!!!

i got a letter from greenwood financial services a short time ago and it said to call my claim agent at (1-647-430-9138) ext.1 prior to depositing your check, so i called the number and got a lady on the machine and told me to type the extension # in if i knew it it was 1 so i typed it in, but it said it isnt valid! so it had me confused and i had to research online for this cause it sounded to good to be true! the check i recieved was for $3,426.33 but the letter said i recieved a lump sum payment of $34,263.30 so i got on here to check it out and stumbled across this website,and praise God i did!
