I got the same Email. The guy ask me to open a bank account at TOTAL BANKS, send me the money VIa Western Union  then ask me buy a cashier check for $40.00 from total bank to send to them. Just Because he want to send all my paper work to Miami city Council. Then the next day he ask me to send him my personal bank info so that he could log in and deposit a check for me to purchase furniture for the office that they will be opening in USA downtown Miami  area. After he ask me for my personal bank info and remember that i was scammed in the past I text him back asking if this is a scam and How can i make sure it is not. He reply that He is a christian and those not involved into anything that deals with scams.
I dont think any one should trust them .

Do not respond to this scam company. They make a fake website and don't ask for money upfront to sound legit. They will ask you to cash a bogus check for them (around $6000), and when it is return a little later as fake; you'll owe your bank the money back. If its too good to be true, than it is.

I reported the Edilink Tech Consulting fake IT Company to the BBB, FBI, job boards, Gmail, and different banks.

Anyone desperately looking for jobs, like me, please do not trust edilinktechconsulting.com. They are job scammers just like craigslist car sales scammers. If its too generous a job opportunity without even an interview, then its not real or they'd be really stupid to send a check to someone they barely know.

I was promised a generous personal assistant job for $1000 a week. I was given phone info , email info, and (cheap looking website) website info to make it look legit. It is a lie, others say that they became responsible for a bounced $6000 check (mentioned in 2nd letter they will send you).

I have done it in the past with a mechanic and received results. (Went to court and won.) I am just  a young lady, but can punch like a man when I have been deceived.

Well I appreciate everyone on here. And just to let the next person know he has changed his name again to David Colby and now he is from MCLRConsulting.com. He also gave 3 different email addresses. The phone number listed was
289-946-2789. He sent the same EXACT 2 letters as above and I even saw the company's website on the first day I got the first letter. When I got the second letter I went to look at the website again to show my boyfriend and the whole website was GONE.....Nowhere to be found. It pulled up an error as Forbidden 404. I am a network tech and that error is for non-existent addresses. I am very fortunate to have a job and was looking to change jobs. It was a very good thing I found this site before I gave my 2 week notice. I have been at the job I have now for 7 years. I would have hated to have nothing other than an overdrawn account.

I received the same email from a Mr. Andrew Dundas with Edilink Consultants, WOW what a RAT!!! The nerve of some people, instead of earning an honest living they are vultures trying to suck the life out of honest hard working people!  SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU ANDREW DUNDAS, if that is in fact your name.  I looked you up and and you actually have/had a website so as to validate your existance. The lengths some one will go to just to appear legitimate is beyond anything I can even imagine and with no fear of consequences, is leaving me speechless.  And then, you send people that you don't even know a check in the amount of  $6670.74 is just flat out ballsy. How the hell did you come up with that figure, I mean come on, where the hell does the .74 cents come into play?  The funnier thing, is that you think, you have this scam perfected but you don't and I hope that you get caught and tried in our legal system for the crimes you are committing. It may take the U.S. some time to actually catch up with you but have no doubt that we will!  This whole issue is just shameful!   I am about to file an actual complaint with the proper authorities as well as filing some sort of complaint with Career Builder.com and these are only the first two steps that I plan to follow through with to ensure that you cannot screw honest people around, I plan to pursue whatever else can be done to put you in jail for a long time.  We, the citizens of the United States cannot knowingly write a HOT CHECK without consequence, "SO YOU" need to be held accountable!

I had the samething. I recived the check today but i took it to check cashing place instead of my bank since i use them alot. I had the lady contact the bank the check was written from. the lady at the bank verfied it was fake. so i called the bank lady when i got home and she told me there ate dozen or more out there and they ate working on it. so i texted Andrew Dundas at Edilink Consults and told him he was reported and if keeps this up he will be in jail and when i told him someone would be calling him to confirm check he said why the rush. there was no way i was depositing that check in my bank and be out over 6,000 dollars. So my adive if it sounds to good to be true it is for sure.

Thank you everyone that have posted this letter and scam.

I was in the middle of a letter to CareerBuilder.com to ask them for help researching this company because I wasn't getting anywhere. I pasted the web link into a browser one more time, just to be sure I had exhausted all my options before sending off the email to CareerBuilder. I also wanted to see the website once more. At the bottom of the screen was the beginning of a discussion about a similar job offer. I clicked it, read through the first five or so posts and see that my offer was a revised scam and identical to the the last couple of email offers. Someone with a little more education must have gotten a hold of it because it was a bit more polished, but still TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! Which is what got me to question its validity.

I keep a record of all my applications and do not have this company listed as one I applied to. First thing I asked myself, "How did they get my information and resume? I have a private post set on my resume" The laptop was TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, $1000 a week TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, all those benefits, TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, sending a check in advance, TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!

Note first on the attributes list: 1. Be honest and trustworthy.

Wow, wow, I got the same email from JEREMY HARPER! I bought the first email, but what caught my attention was the second one, which I will share with you. But, before I post that email, I just want to say that is very important to investigate this kind of emails. Since I received the first email on Monday, April 15, 2013 I had been asking questions, asking people, and doing my own research and that?s how I found this site. Which I really appreciates because this is really unfair that this type of people do this to people in need and to honest people who is just looking for a decent job.

I received the same email. First thing that caught my eye was their lack of typing skills and punctuation. If it's a legit company your letter better look than the one I received. I live in Miami btw. Everyone mentions a Daniel Steeles, well apparently they do steal as implied in the last name. I guess people are catching on cause now the name on the email is Jeremy Harper, moving in 2 weeks from Canada.

These scammers can't lose if you cash the check because the check is phoney. You cash the check or deposit it, and then give back to them either real money or a check on your account. Three days later the bank notifies you the check was no good, the scammers are nowhere to be found, and the bank wants their money back and your checking account has been cleaned out.This type of scam has been going on for SO long I'm surprised every person on earth hasn't heard about it!
