You think it is suspicious because you just went through customs? Are you for real? It is a solicitation call, it has nothing whatsoever to do with customs, and therefore there is nothing suspicious about it at all. Good grief, some people's naivety is astounding.

Just had a call from that number - hung up after 2 rings ...

We have Primus for home phone - so I just hit *44 and added the number
to my Calls Blocked list.  It will never bother us again !   This service
alone is worth the cost = $0 !!  All part of Primus service - saved us
about 80% over Bell ....    and I don't get paid for this !    :-)

Just received call Saturday nite 7:30 answered - hung up - no response - tried calling number but got busy single - weird nobody!!

This number calls constantly! They claim they're from a home security company. My husband is a police officer, I'm not stupid enough to fall for a call like this. This guy is verbally abusive, he's rude and when I hang up he calls right back. I am at my wits end with this jerk. It's been going on for months.

just called here - never pick up unless I recognize the number.  No message.  Obviously yet another scumbag low life scammer.  Oh, for the days when the phone ringing meant friend or family calling.

647-495-9156 came up as the number. I swiftly go to google to see what I'm dealing with. Stopped ringing after 4 or so rings, likely bogus caller didn't ring long enough to get to voicemail. Things that make you go hmmm ....

Called my son's phone and he answered and heard nothing but panting.  

Imagine I pay for an unlisted number and these people are still calling. What kind of Assh**** we have living in this country

CRTC is who you are to complain to. CBC Marketplace did a piece on this stuff... doesn't look hopeful, but if we keep complaining, maybe, eventually...

I guess if you are really determined, but them to come to your house, to get a quote on their services. Have your video cam and big friends ready! Or give them fake addresses to wear them out?

Strong ?indian accent, saying he is Patrick from some security company. Long delays between our phones. I could hear other call centre type sounds in the background.

I have signed up for the CRTC's Do Not Call list. Apparently I can't complain until I've been on it for 31 days.

Call me passed 8.30 (pm) Saturday  night said that they are in the area for home security system ask me if I have one so I said can't tell you this on the phone but if you are in the area just knock at my door and you'll find out when the police show up. He hung up.

They called me three times in a row this evening. He was SO rude, and every time I hung up on him he called me back harassing me about why I hung up and arguing with me. I wish there was a way to report these a**holes where they would actually get huge fines or criminal charges. That would make them stop!

We just received a similar call but with an extended number - our number showed an additional prefix to this number being 507...so the number that showed on our call display today, June 5th, 2013 at 5:26 p.m., appeared as 507-647-495-9156.

We ignored the call and surprisingly (hehe), no one left a message.

Called this afternoon, near London, ON... didn't answer. Thanks for the info about these scammers.

Just got the call, sounded strongly Asian to me, he asked for "Lauren", told him he had the wrong number, he said this is the right number, you are Lauren, I hung up.

Same situation here. Very thick SE Asian/Indian accent. He asked for Mrs Kevin, I said sorry wrong number. He said, no I have the right number and repeated my number to me. Said he was from a security company whose name is different from those mentioned here. I said sorry I'm not interested, he said yes ma'am you are interested, this is a promotion call. I said, no I'm not and hung up.

Just this call 6:19pm. Said hi they hung up with out saying anything

Got a call from mumbled security company  Indian accent asking about my home security system. I told him that my personal security was not something I would discuss over the phone and it was none of his business. He said this is my business so I told him to f off. He said I did not need to use abusive language  I told him I tend to do that when people call and try to rip me off.

Must be still at it had the same number 647-495-9156 on my call display no message seen it before but thought I better check it out this time...now I will never answer this call thanks for the info

Called our office numerous time and refused to explain what he was looking for.  Strong SE Asian accent. When i asked him is name he said Michael Anderson and his number was 647-495-9156.. The number that came up on call display was 416-800-9261. He then said he was calling for Canadian Home Security Systems???, no such entity that i could find.  Told him to give me his mailing address and email and I would send him the information he was looking for.  
Finally got tired said i would track them down and send them a bill for our time, this shut him up quickly and then i told him to F**K off and hung up.

I called them back, and the idiot put me on auto redial for 45 calls in a roll. I wonder if that is harassment?

Called him back and cussed the s*** out of him
