Thanks for the info guys these asshats been calling for a while now.I have blocked them now.

They called me and i didn't answer then i re-called them back several hours later and this is what happened:

"For assistance in english please press 1, for assistance in french please press 2"

Doesn't matter if you press 1 or 2 it just repeats it over and over and over.

I get a call from 16474964195 daily,and no matter what I say they continue to call. I say hello,I hear a click, then on comes
a lady with a strong accent asking for a family member ..and she has trouble pronouncing the name..I hang up and she calls
back the next day..I also have my number registered with the no call list,The no call list does not work,I continue to receive
multiple telemarketer and scam calls,some of these people don`t even know what a no call list is.  

I agree 100%. I refused to apply because of them calling my wife constantly with this type of BS. I am an inch away from gettoing an unlisted # because of them

It is all a scand from over sea thay tap in to your phone number and run up your phone number.    I just got my phone bill is $400.000.   It come from not just this one but from all India/ Iran/Israel/ArabEgypt/Saudi Arabia/Pakistan/Sudan..That is way GOD but them in the SAND BOX'S so that your CAT can s*** on them.            

i keep getting calls from this number when you call it back they ask you to enter your number to be taken off their phone registry but i will not do that because i think they are just confirming they have a number and will continue to call.

I received a call from this number this afternoon and told them in no uncertain terms not to call me again.  Expletives get their attention.  I then called Cdn Tire to report this annoyance.  Cdn Tire did in fact state that this is a company does work for CTC but for customer satisfaction purposes.  They removed my number from that company's call list.
So if you have a M/C  with CTC, that is how they obtained your telephone number.  Just call CTC to complain and they will take your number off the system.

this phone number is scam 100% ,they said they call from mbna master card,they try to collect my personal information, we should call police stop that scammer. stay together we will stronger to bunk those criminal.

I just told them I had identity protection from Equifax and she said "wonderful choice, thank you for your time" and hung up

Me too.  4 calls in 2 weeks

I get this call frequently but there's never anyone on the the other line.

Canadian Tire Mastercard

It must be MY turn to get these calls.  I would say, without exaggeration, 20 calls in the past three weeks.

The first time they called I lied and said my husband wasn't home. I have blocked them on our phone but they must have called about 20 times in the last week. Thanks for all the info and I'm glad I blocked them.

I have received the same as others posted above.  I have emailed Canadian Tire requesting confirmation and correction to this situation.  I suggest every one does that same thing

Autodialer running it's phone list to clean out 'dead' numbers.

Don't pick up and you don't exist.

I get this phone call everyday, and when I pick up the phone, no one is on the line.  This has happened every time I pick up.

Do not call anymore

Yup, at least once per day for the last few weeks this number calls my cell phone. I have never answered it because I do not answer calls from unrecognized numbers. There is never a message left, and to me this is proof it is advertising or a scam of some sort. I have a brother who owns a Canadian Tire Store. I will ask him about this and try get advise on how to make it stop. These calls only started after I got the CTC Gas Advantage card.

It's not a scam, and it's not annoying.

It's just Canadian Tire MasterCard offering insurance. Don't like it, don't complain. It's not a scam.

I called Canadian Tire Mastercard service and asked if they do telemarketing from this phone number, and they said yes.  So it is in fact from Canadian Tire Mastercard, and it's a firm they've outsourced to for telemarketing some kind of credit card insurance service.

The good news: it's not an identity thief.

The bad news: Canadian Tire Mastercard is using annoying telemarketers to push insurance on you.

I also had a call from them this afternoon requesting to update my file at Canadian Tire. To their surprise I answered  I close my account 1 year ago and this is scam....they hang up.

Area code 647 (where the calls originate) is in Toronto so no, I don't think it;s a rotocaller altho they do seem to use a dialer of some kind as there is a pause while you get connected to an available person in the call centre. That's when I hung up so I don't have to listen to their BS. CT guard their databases better than Fort Knox protects the gold that isn't there so I'm confident that it's a "legitimate" business that CT has sold their list to. That doesn't mean we have to listen to them or hand out info unless you choose to do business with them.

Called today and left no message. Judging by previous entries and online searches these guys are scammers trying to phish info.

This number calls over and over again to both my cell and home numbers.  Spoke to them when they called the home number and they said they were calling from Canadian Tire mastercard told me they were sending me an insurance package. Don't know if it's a scam but it's definately annoying, they don't take no for an answer. Don't give them any info.
