Called every day for the last week. Three times today.

I love boards like these. Thanks to you guys I will not answer.

They were selling some TD Canada Trust credit check thing

I've been getting calls from the twice a day for three weeks. The first time I answered, the guy said he was from TD Credit and wanted to ask me a few questions, one of which was to verify my info. I said if he's from TD he should already have that ;) I have not answered since.

Thank you for your comments. If it would really be the bank their phonenumber would be registered and would show as a name not just a what ever number. I always hang up - never answer

So I received a call from (647 496-4196) what seems to be TD's credit card identity theft protection plan. I told the person on the other end I don't do business on the phone and he suggested too go to a physical TD bank branch and ask for the credit card phone number or check the back of the card and the same phone number will be there. Which would lead back to "him" (the TD sales person) Could also hear other telemarketers in the background trying to sell the idea.

So yes it is a sales pitch from TD, to stop them from calling ANSWER the phone and TELL them you're NOT INTERESTED and don't want to be called again. Be firm but polite and they should respect that. Worked for me, well until next year when they refresh the numbers for sales pitch. :)

They been calling my home for over 3 weeks now, 2 to 3 times a day.  I never answer.  However, today I blocked my number, and called them back.  There was an option to remove my number from their data-base, which I did.  The company is identified as "Ibex Global," from Toronto, Ontario.  I have no dealings with this company, and I hope they stop calling my home now.  If not, I'm reporting them on the Government website, National Do Not Call List.

Got calls from 1 week . Not even a.single voice mail left. Looks like scam or telemarket something . I just block it ...

This number has called me a number of times, I believe. Definitely this week and last. Once, I picked up and said hello. I heard a woman on the other end, saying hello as well, and then the call dropped.
The last two times, I didn't pick up. No message is left.
When I call it back, it goes to an automated message that does not identify the "company" and just has a female voice saying, "For English, press 1" and in a terrible accent, "Pour le français, appuyer sur le 2."

At 10:38 pm I got a call from this number. It rang only three times and then they hung up. I didn't answer because 8 minutes and 13 minutes earlier I got calls from similar numbers -- same area code and prefix. Just the last four #s were different. In both of the other instances the phone only rang 2-3 times and hung up before I could even answer. It's a little late for any marketers to be calling. I hate that they call at all, but at that hour? Three calls within minutes of each other? Really?

Call from this number yesterday. Indian-sounding guy trying to pronounce my name. Hung up.

i just got a call from this number and they left a weird message, sounded like it was a random pocket call, i could hear a lot of static and faint voices but was hard to make out what the said.

This is a scam.constantly getting calls at least 3 times a day on cell phone.my carrier recommend Mr number block free app installed it 20 min later they tried to phone again but was blocked.never give any personal info.

Some marketing research firm. If you call back you can have your number removed from their database and it takes up to 72 hours.

Called from TD credit card, something about credit reports and identity theft insurance.  

They are seriously persistent with their calls. They've been calling me everyday, for at least a %$#@ week already and I've never picked up since I don't know their number and upon looking at this site. This is ridiculous. Doesn't help that I've also been receiving calls from a +1000000000 number too.

i just got  a call from this no. The person was asking me to go on computer and follow his instructions. He said he is calling from TD credit services to let me know about the alert secured services they have for their customers. i just hung up and seems to be a fraud call. SO PLEASE ANYONE GETTING CALL FROM THIS NO SHOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION.

Been getting 1-2 calls from this number for the last 3 days.  Finally picked up today and said hello - no respose.  Checked my phone to make sure the call was actually connected and when I put the phone back to my ear there was a woman finishing a sentence.  I asked her to repeat herself and she asked if I was deaf!!  I explained what happened and there was no response so I asked if she was daft.  She didn't hang up, but there was no further communication.

Very rude.  Seems like a scam from the reading I've done.

I am afraid it is even worse than con artists: TD is authorising these calls. Do***ebags!

Do not have your number removed from their database. This just confirms to the caller that the number is active and a real person answers. No guarantees that the calls will stop especially if the company has affiliates, subsidiaries or other numbers they call from.

Called me again but this time no one said anything when I said hello.  Only scammers do that so I'll be sure to let my answering machine "talk" to them from now on.  Thank goodness for the person who invented call display so we can avoid these clowns, at least until they start calling from a different number.

Just called me at 9:00 p.m. saying she was with TD Visa and wanted to protect my credit.  I said it's fine and hung up.  Whether these types of calls (bank, credit cards, credit protection and the like), are legitimate or not, you should NEVER offer personal info nor give any if asked.  NEVER.  If you want credit protection, credit reports or anything of the like, contact Visa (or whomever you want the service from), yourself so you know you're talking to them and not a possible scammer.
