I get this on my pohone all the time ...

I get this call on my cell phone all he time. I do not answer it .

No answered . WTF??

Received a call from this number but they hang up before the first ring ended. It's like someone's trying to see if my number is active or not.

Have a missed call from this number. iPhone tells me that the number is from Ontario. Looked it up and of course, it turns out to be a bloody scammer. I've been getting a lot of them recently even though I'm on the government's no-call list.

Remember, always look up unfamiliar numbers before calling back! Don't call back at all, otherwise you'll stay on the scammer's calling list. The best thing is to do is to just block the number.

Recorded voice said "Hi, this is Amy and you've just been awarded a free cruise to Bahamas...".

Beat it, Amy.

Number may come up as being in Canada, however, good chance it really isn't, and the Do Not Call list then doesn't apply.

they have access to your number and "all the phone numbers they use to call you". because they are the people working at the out of country call center that your phone, tv, or internet, support system they use giving them the access to our phone numbers. they can pick a number that is not in use and use it to call you, butt always making it look like it is a local call, but hard to notify the phone company, tv company, or the internet company because it is the scammers who will be picking up the phone when you put in a complaint, and will not pass on the info to the higher ups, have to go in person to those company's or to the goverment

Unfortunately reporting numbers like this is useless as these are done over VOIP and the numbers are spoofed. There should be something that the phone companies could do to block spoofed numbers. IE: coming from a 647 areacode when the call really originates from the US.

we are all lucky  to win 12 cruises a year, then should be playing the loto if that lucky, scam!

If you block all 647 area codes you will block 40% of the people in the toronto area from ever calling you.

This caller keeps at it. Once they left a message and i couldn't get it off my answering machine and had to call the machine company to help me get rid of it. Can you block it? It offers a free vacation or something like that - i dont hang on long enough to find out details but it starts with 'Congratulations!'

Had many calls from 647-556-5405
It's an automated "you've won a cruise" scam.  I hung up the second I heard the spiel.

It's really too bad we can't block all of an area code, say, block anyone with area code 647.

Ok, I just got another phone call. This time I answered it. When the computer operator comes on, it asks you if you will take part in a short  survey. OR they give to the option to press 9 to have your phone number removed from their call list.

Done, now, they better quit calling!

My husband didn't answer but suspected a scammer.  I am always checking numbers I don't know and blocking them from my phone.

Just got a call 30 mins ago from this number. Didnt pick up and they didnt leave any voicemail

I am tired of receiving these calls where either you apparently won a "free cruise" or people pretending to be from Microsoft saying there is a virus on my computer or just simply not answering when someone picks up the phone . These calls have been extremely annoying and according to the phone company, there is no way in stoping it from happening !

This number 647 556 5406 is a company that does fraud work in Toronto. They also use other bunch of numbers like..647 556 5406, 647 504 6641, 647 203 9735 and much more... sometimes they use like 8** number.s. Here are their 877 330 1815, 438 800 0460. I'm going to report this to RCMP because two of these numbers use a fraudulent activity (illegal) that requires users to press a button so they can charge them.

Called me on my landline here in Calgary a half hour ago.  I fortunately was not home at the time.  They didn't leave a message.  Looks like another one I'll be putting on my blocked list.

Got the scam "Congratulations" call today in Calgary.

this # called my cell.  I'm in BC

I keep getting calls from this number both on my cell phone and on my home phone.  My son has leukemia and is very ill today and I'm getting these calls while waiting for calls from CancerCare here in Winnipeg.  I really need to report these people....it's becoming quite the nuisance and I can't figure out how to block the number.

THIS NUMBER CALLED ME AND LEFT A VOICEMAIL. SOMETHING ABOUT AN ALL EXPENSES PAID CRUISE. I KEEP RECIEVING THE SAME MESSAGE FROM UNKNOWN NUMBERS. EVERYTIME I BLOCK THE NUMBER, A DIFFERENT ONE CALLS LEAVING THE SAME MESSAGE. TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW THEY GOT MY MOBILE NUMBER.
