Robo call wanted me to attend a party to raise funds for Obama

I received a call which sounded like it came from Guest Equipment Leasing and Loans.  It sounded like a pre-recorded message or a man reading a script to me, thanking me for my business.  Neither my husband nor I have rented  equipment nor are seeking a loan regarding renting equipment.  I hung up after the call came in, and performed a Comcast star 69 caller ID, followed by a Comcast star 57 trace on the call.   The call came in while I was eating dinner.  After dinner, I reported the call to the FTC as a Do Not Call List violation.  I do not know a soul who has a 647-571 area code and exchange.  I live in Virginia.  I understand that this exchange is found in Toronto Canada.  I've never been to Toronto.  I been only to  Ontario  and Quebec-- and that was in 2010.  My trip to  did not even remotely involved the leasing or the renting of any kind of equipment.  I have no idea about from where this jack*** obtained my phone number!  I do not personally know any Canadians or have any contact with people who live in Canada.  My husband's trip to Canada involved a university speaking engagement related to his profession;  my trip was there for pleasure as a tourist-- and to see the science museum.  I have no idea why this caller had my phone number, nor do I know who may have provided it to him or her.

Just got a missed call from this numb. What's troubling to me is that I never give out my cell num on anything but I just used on an online job application site

This was my first call from them. I too do not shop Costco, am not in wedding industry and do not take digestive enzymes. Did not leave a message.

I have gotten 2 calls from this number but don't answer it and of course they don't leave a msg.  I am not in the wedding business, I don't buy drugs from Canada, I don't shop at Costco and I don't take Webber Naturals Digestive Enzymes.  Probably some scam artist trying to find out if it is a valid number.

Just got a call from that number and something/someone told me to
Google it. I can't believe there the number was on the first hit was this blog. I kept saying hello. hello an then I heard the line disconnect.

Someone called me many times everyday, but I did not answer it because I am not too familiar with the number from Canada. My phone says it is from Ontario, Canada .

I just got a call also.  I too am in the wedding industry.

Got a call from them, and they wanted to sell me a bridal list for newly listed brides in my area. I'm a Mobile Disc Jockey who performs at weddings. I imagine they looked at my website and got my number from there. I will not do business from any scam telemarketing company

Spam telemarketing junk call that left voicemail. Had nothing to do with Costco. Perhaps someone is faking their number.

if you go to health canada you will see that this is real and not fake.  if you have bought this product, you should check and see if the lot number is the same.  i have been experiencing dizziness and feeling very week for almost a week. not sure if this is the cause or not but definately checking yourself out.  it was contaminated with CHLORAPHENICOL.  take a look.

Check blj's post. I used that link and was able to determine right away that my lot number wasn't included. Worth trying now and saving yourself a trip in tomorrow to Costco :)

Thanks blj for the link. I got the call from Costco as well about the Webber Naturals Digestive Enzymes. Checked the link and my bottle's lot number isn't on there...whew! Thanks again.

Got a call from this number tonight and after calling Costco got directed to Health Canada.  There is a recall on some Webber Naturals Digestive Enzymes.  Check the Lot Number on the side of the bottle.

Got a call from this number and was told to return a product that bought from Costco because of the recall. The product mentioned on the call was Webber Naturals Digestive Enzymes. I am paranoid now because I have been taking this digestive enzymes for couple of months and a recall means there is health safety issues. Hopefully this call is just spam/hoax !!! Heading to Costco tomorrow to verify if there is really a recall on that specific product.

Got a call in the evening as well... sounds like someone canvassing.
