They called 2 time in a row and said calling from sun life and mentioned we have really some good offers for you damn with good offers don't know how to block these calls.

This same consolidation auto message has several numbers they call from.  So far, received the same message on voicemail on cell phones and work from:
416-477-2756
416-628-5255
647-694-0561

How do we stop these relentless criminals from calling?

Long annoying voice mail.  Message really didn't make any sense.  My advice.... IGNORE THESE PEOPLE OR COMPANY!!!

I just got a call from this number from this number.  I didn't answer because I'm out of my local area right now (Toronto).  It appears to be a debt-reducing scam.

they just called me. argh annoying. i dont have debt. hmm how can we get revenge?

Same here, on my cell.  WIND customer though.  Debt reduction etc is serious business for the indebted; I consider scammy debt-solution companies to be the bottom of the barrel.

That's pretty sad.  Everyone else just downloads something from their normal markets, and poof, gone.  No voiding of warranty necessary.  LOL

Debt Reduction scam from "credit counselling and bankruptcy trustees". It's a no-no per Federal regulators. Leave the numbers for Dalton McGuinty and Stephen Harper as a call back number.

They are the culprits who created the infamous "Do Not Call List", which has since been bastardized by these telemarketers. Therefore, they are the ones to fix it!

Your elected politicians are receiving commissions on these "unsolicited calls" in the form of kickbacks and cash donations to their individual political campaigns.

Got a call from this number as well @ 4:17pm Dec 21,2011.  Funny, I just updated to Android 4.03 on my Nexus S phone and the ringer was set to "unknown" so I didn't hear it ring even.  The only reason that I noticed that I had missed a call was by the notification icon at the top of the screen.  Good thing it wasn't a real call for me.

Was with Telus for 10+ years before moving the number to Mobilicity this year. I have to agree best thing to do is to blacklist the numbers in the contact list. It works well when you can set the custom ring tone to silent.

They keep calling, they have no name, are definitely scammers, but they got the wrong guy. They call each time and leave a stupid VM. I think they bought my info from my Bank or some idiot that works there. Have a $500  Credit Card, that's only used to pay Gym and phone fees, then paid off before the bill comes in. I do not own a home or have a car loan. Just wondering who these fools are. Anyway, I will be changing my cell number come 2012 and update my Bank info with just my home phone and office phone both of which are VOIPs. Too bad for these terrible scammers who can't even scam properly, even if their lives depended on it. How pitiable they are?
