I just got a text as well and had just bought a new computer from best buy... Makes me wonder what they're up to.

Cell phone numbers are published all over the place. The companies that text you don't have your personal contact information yet, that's why they ask you for it when you fill out their form.  I can get you a list of random cell phone numbers in about 30 seconds if I wanted them off the internet without knowing who they belong to. My guess is that these companies just pull a list like that and send out their message to as many phone numbers as possible and are happy if only half of them make it through.

Yeah, I just got texted by them too, and yesterday I just bought a new sound system from them in store... Really glad I looked up the number first! ... Creepy coincidence.

I also recieved this telemarketer spam text message and then an hour a phone call from 855 for a home alarm installation.  
     1)  The text was  "You have been selected for the $1000 Best Buy Holiday Overstock Shopping Spree Giveaway!  Claim yours at http://redeem8.com/m/?flg1k1b.". Then when you go to the site they start asking for all of your contact infomation, have you sign up for a few items, then
     2) The home alarms phone call came one hour later.  Maybe after the text is not rejected, they feel they have a working phone number.
     3) Added both numbers to my phoen's blocked list for free from the phone companies web site.  Unfortunatly I can only block 5 spamers at a time for 3 months.  Might be another reason why they change phone numbers so often.

Gave me a Best Buy holiday overstock shopping spree when in fact i never gave them a number or that Best Buy's numberisn't this in the first place.

I just got the same text message at 9:00 AM EST.  100% certain it is a scam/unethical marketing.  Anyone get a call from 360-460-5307 around an hour later?

i got the same text message last night and in a drunken stupor i STUPIDLY decided to enter my information and submitted it. I know, i know, you can't believe it, neither can i, and now i am freaking out. I put in my phone, email, and address. i just want to know what is going to happen.

My wife just got this text 5 mins after we walked out of best buy! They do not have her number nor did we sign up for anything ever! Coincidence... perhaps, but being a security minded individual I am now going through her entire phone and all of her apps with a fine tooth comb, there has to be a vulnerability...

I just got the same message best buy. called the store; no such thing. people with no life at all.
