THIS NUMBER CALLS REPEATEDLY. I don't know who it is so I don't answer. STOP CALLING!
Arvi 2011-06-06 20:53:44 Unknown
If no one talks on your first Hello you should start pressing the # repeatedly then hang up. This is because the call maybe origniated from a computer whose only purpose is to see if anyone will pick up. The copmuter registers that the phone call was answered at a certain time and let's other telemarketing companies know that you have home at the designated time. By pressing the # key or any key for that matter the computer gets alittle confused. I've done it but I keep getting calls from another number now. Both have decreased nevertheless.

haidar 2011-06-06 20:53:44 Unknown
i keep getting calls all day at least 2 or 3 times a day and no one answers and the line just hung up

I read the above comments, but I'm confused as to why telemarketers want to know when I'm home? I'm still not going to talk to them! haha I don't get why any one would call and not wait for me to answer -no one answers if I pick up. Isn't the whole point of telemarketing to get you on the line? I am worried that this is some kind of scam thats going to charge calls to India on my number somehow (I say that as a joke, hoping its not actually possible!) I called it back and it says that the compnay is Global Telelinks and asks you for an account number. I tried pressing "0" to get a person on the phone, but no dice. I have yet to understand how telemarketing can be effective or worthwhile when it seems that everyone with a phone detests unwanted phone calls and either doesn't answer or hangs up. Where are the people that telemarketing works on? They have to be out there, otherwise why would companies still use this strategy?

I just got two calls from this number today. The first time, I was not home and saw a missed call when I got home. I called the number back and got a message asking me to enter my account number. Then they called again around 7 pm. I picked up the phone and hung up the phone right away, but then they would continue to call 2 more times right after so I picked up the phone and hung up again right away.
Why can we not find out who these people are?
White Napalm 2011-06-06 20:53:44 Unknown
Global Telelinks owned by BELL!!!
Does this surprise you? Even if your number is unlisted these people will phone because BELL owns them. Any company owned by BELL CANADA has access to all their numbers private or not.
